WoW MoP Classic Phase 3 Healer Gear Guide | Best Legendary Meta Gems, BIS Sets, And Stats For Throne Of Thunder

WoW MoP Classic Phase 3 is now live, and Throne of Thunder raid is also open. It's very difficult, so tanks, healers, and DPS all need to avoid mistakes as much as possible.

To increase the margin for error, the most direct way is to increase the healer's healing output. If you feel your healer is constantly underperforming, it might be because you're not using the right gear.

WoW MoP Classic Phase 3 Healer Gear Guide | Best Legendary Meta Gems, BIS Sets, And Stats For Throne Of Thunder

Legendary Meta Gems

Before discussing specific gear, let's talk about Legendary Meta Gems. You can obtain them by completing legendary questlines, and they offer a significant boost compared to regular gems. You can unlock four types of Legendary Meta Gems:

  • Capacitive Primal Diamond
  • Sinister Primal Diamond
  • Indomitable Primal Diamond
  • Courageous Primal Diamond

For healers, Courageous Primal Diamond and Sinister Primal Diamond are the most commonly used.

Courageous Primal Diamond

If you're looking to boost healing, this gem provides 324 Intellect and has a chance to make spells cost no mana for 4 seconds. It has a 1.4 PPM mechanic, is affected by Haste, and is useful for all healing classes.

Sinister Primal Diamond

Sinister Primal Diamond provides 324 critical strike chance and has a chance to increase spell haste by 30% for a period. It's primarily suitable for Restoration Shamans and Discipline Priests who prioritize damage. It can also be considered for Mistweaver Monks who prioritize damage.

Healing Classes BIS Gear

Restoration Druid

Restoration Druid Vestments of Haunted Forest 2-piece set provides approximately 6-7% healing boost and also applies to Force of Nature and Tranquility. Its 4-piece set bonus is equally powerful, increasing the healing effect of Rejuvenation. You can choose 4 pieces of gear other than the chest armor: helm, shoulders, gloves, and legs. Use individual pieces for the other slots. For Restoration Druid weapons, prioritize high item level weapons, preferably those obtained by upgrading with Valor Points.

For Restoration Druid stats, you can choose to stack Haste or Spirit. Higher Haste results in better Efflorescence healing from the 2-piece set bonus. Stacking Spirit is more effective than Haste for healing durations of 4-5 minutes or more, making it better for progression. Gems should be chosen based on your chosen stat stacking.

Restoration Shaman

Vestments of the Witch Doctor set bonus for Restoration Shaman is relatively weak. The set bonus allows Healing Stream Totem to heal an additional target, but the healing effect is only 25%, resulting in approximately 1.5% increased healing.

The 4-piece set bonus, Ancestral Awakening, has a chance to be triggered by non-critical heal, but the effect is also very weak (approximately 0.5-1% increase), and it doesn't synergize well with critical strike stats. Elemental Shaman set offers better stats, so a combination of 2 pieces from Restoration set and 2 pieces from Elemental set is preferable.

You can choose Kilt of the Witch Doctor and Shoulderwraps of the Witch Doctor from Elemental Shaman Set, and their stats are quite good, and they're convenient for switching specializations.

Weapon selection is the same as for Druids, prioritizing item level. For stats, you can choose to stack haste or critical strike; both are viable, but critical strike might be more advantageous in a 10-man raid.

Priest

Discipline Priest

Vestments of the Exorcist 2-piece set bonus increases Penance's healing by approximately 20%, equivalent to an overall 2% healing increase. Strong for both Discipline and Holy Priests.

The 4-piece set can summon a Golden Apparition with intelligent effects and no flight time, which directly heals the most needed target. This provides approximately a 4% HPS increase for Discipline Priests and is slightly weaker for Holy Priests (Prayer of Healing is superior for group healing).

Therefore, the 4-piece set is slightly better than the 2-piece set or any individual pieces in terms of both healing and damage, but it's actually similar to using 0-piece and 4-piece. If you frequently switch to Shadow specialization, you can use Shadow Tier chest and gloves without significantly sacrificing healing.

In terms of stats, Mastery, at the same value, provides higher pure healing benefits than Critical Strike, while Critical Strike increases both damage and healing, and makes Divine Aegis absorption more stable. Therefore, if you're aiming for a balanced healing and damage, focus on stacking Critical Strike. If you're purely aiming for maximum healing, it's best to stack Mastery.

Holy Priest

The 2-piece Vestments of the Lightning Emperor set is strong, while the 4-piece set is relatively weaker for Holy Priests. Since the critical strike is used relatively infrequently, you can flexibly choose between the 2-piece or 4-piece set; the difference is minimal.

Mistweaver Monk

Fire-Charm Vestments The two-piece set bonus increases Renewing Mist healing by 15 per transfer, resulting in a roughly 2-3% overall healing increase. The four-piece bonus reduces Thunder Focus Tea's cooldown by 5 seconds, but the effect is relatively minor.

The main difference between the four-piece and two-piece setups lies in whether the gloves and leg armor use set pieces or individual pieces. If using individual pieces, Leggings of the Malformed Sapling and Anima-Ringed Fingers are good choices.

In terms of stats, stacking critical strike chance is beneficial for maximizing damage output. Alternatively, it can be combined with Courageous Primal Diamond and Glyph of Uplift for burst damage.

Holy Paladin

The two-piece Vestments of the Lightning Emperor bonus increases Daybreak healing by 50%, roughly a 2-2.5% overall healing increase. The four-piece bonus, however, increases healing transferred to Beacon of Light by 20%, significantly boosting Eternal Flame builds and enhancing tank safety. Stacking mastery might be a better stat choice for this setup.

In Phase 3 of MoP Classic, the increase from stacking Intellect for healers is limited. Therefore, when choosing gear, it's best to focus on more effective secondary stats like Mastery and Critical Strike.

WoW MoP Classic Phase 3 New World Bosses Oondasta & Nalak | How To Defeat Them Based On The Skills?

WoW MoP Classic Phase 3 New World Bosses Oondasta & Nalak | How To Defeat Them Based On The Skills?

December this year is proving to be exceptionally busy, with many new games released in October and November still going strong, and several popular classic games releasing new patches to attract players, such as WoW MoP Classic.

As a new server launched in July this year, Mists of Pandaria Classic scheduled release Phase 3 The Thunder King at 3 PM Pacific Time on December 9th, bringing new raids, zones, bosses, and more.

While Throne of Thunder raid is the focus of Phase 3, other content should not be overlooked. Below, we will introduce information on how to deal with two new world bosses.

WoW MoP Classic Phase 3 New World Bosses Oondasta & Nalak | How To Defeat Them Based On The Skills?

Boss 1: Oondasta

This boss's habitat is located in the center of the new zone, Isle of Giants, which is also home to various dinosaurs. You can start the boss fight after completing the dinosaur-related quests.

Boss Skills

Oondasta has six skills, which it will use at different stages of the fight to maximize damage to your party. Each member of your team needs to prepare for and react to these skills based on their role. These skills include:

  • Alpha Male: The boss will make the strongest player in the party immune to taunts and increase the threat generated by tank-specialized players by 100%.
  • Crush: Deals a large amount of single-target damage and continuously reduces your armor by 25% for one minute.
  • Frill Blast: The boss can accumulate energy using its armor and then release a shockwave, dealing fire damage to all players within 60 yards in front of it.
  • Spiritfire Beam: Fires a beam at you, dealing fire damage. The beam will then bounce, affecting up to 99 players.
  • Piercing Roar: This skill allows Oondasta to deal physical damage to all players and interrupt your spell-casting. You will be unable to use the same spell again for 10 seconds.
  • Growing Fury: Throughout the fight, the boss continuously accumulates rage, increasing its damage by 10%, and this effect stacks until the boss dies.

How To Deal With These Skills?

To ensure that your tank players can accumulate enough threat even under the effect of the boss's Alpha Male skill, DPS players should not attack immediately at the beginning of the fight.

After that, tank players who have accumulated sufficient threat should stop attacking to reduce threat, then allow the second tank to begin building threat. This cycle should be repeated to ensure that each tank player shares the damage.

Additionally, throughout the entire fight, you must ensure you are positioned behind the boss to easily dodge Frill Blast skill, which only impacts the boss's front.

To avoid the effects of Spiritfire Beam skill, everyone needs to maintain a distance of approximately 10 yards from each other while remaining behind the boss.

As for Piercing Roar, simply ensure you stop casting before the boss uses this skill to avoid being silenced.

Boss Fight Rewards

This boss drops Epic 522 item-level gear rewards, which only dropped from world bosses, with Reins of the Cobalt Primordial Direhorn mount item being a notable reward.

Boss 2 Nalak

This boss is located in Isle of Thunder, another new zone introduced in Phase 3, and is close to the entrance of the new raid. However, it's important to note that to enter this zone, you must complete stage 5 of Isle of Thunder campaign on your current server.

Boss Skills

Compared to Oondasta, Nalak has fewer main skills, only 4, but you still shouldn't take him lightly.

  • Lightning Tether: The boss can connect you and your teammates to himself, dealing approximately 10,000 Nature damage to each person every second. If you move more than 30 yards away from the boss during this time, the damage will be doubled.
  • Arc Nova: Nalak will fire a pulse of energy, dealing significant Nature damage and knocking back any players within 35 yards.
  • Stormcloud: The boss will summon a storm cloud that covers the entire arena, dealing significant Nature damage every 3 seconds for 30 seconds to all players within 10 yards.
  • Static Shield: The boss will always be surrounded by energy pulses, which deal Nature damage to a random player every 1 second.

WoW MoP Classic Phase 3 World Boss 2 Nalak

How To Deal With This Boss?

Every 15 seconds during the fight, the boss will cast Lightning Tether on players. This is unavoidable, but you can avoid the doubled damage by always staying close enough to the boss.

However, if Nalak uses Arc Nova skill, you shouldn't consider the damage from Lightning Tether; instead, it's best to immediately move more than 35 yards away from the boss, as Arc Nova's damage is instantly fatal.

Additionally, Stormcloud's skill effect means you need to maintain a distance of at least 10 yards from the boss to avoid taking extra damage.

In general, the key to dealing with Nalak is to constantly pay attention to which skill he is using to quickly determine how far away you should be from him. Sometimes even a slight difference in distance can consume you your life.

Boss Fight Rewards

Defeating Nalak will drop Normal Tier 15 legs and gloves gear, as well as a large amount of PvP gear. And like Oondasta, Nalak will also drop a mount item, Reins of the Thundering Cobalt Cloud Serpent.

The above is the main information you should know to defeat the two new world bosses in Phase 3. Based on this, you should also contribute to the fight or heal others according to your role in the raid to ensure ultimate victory.
