  • WoW MoP Classic Phase 3 Healer Gear Guide | Best Legendary Meta Gems, BIS Sets, And Stats For Throne Of Thunder

    Posted: Dec 12, 2025

WoW MoP Classic Phase 3 is now live, and Throne of Thunder raid is also open. It's very difficult, so tanks, healers, and DPS all need to avoid mistakes as much as possible.

To increase the margin for error, the most direct way is to increase the healer's healing output. If you feel your healer is constantly underperforming, it might be because you're not using the right gear.

WoW MoP Classic Phase 3 Healer Gear Guide | Best Legendary Meta Gems, BIS Sets, And Stats For Throne Of Thunder

    Legendary Meta Gems

Before discussing specific gear, let's talk about Legendary Meta Gems. You can obtain them by completing legendary questlines, and they offer a significant boost compared to regular gems. You can unlock four types of Legendary Meta Gems:

    • Capacitive Primal Diamond
    • Sinister Primal Diamond
    • Indomitable Primal Diamond
    • Courageous Primal Diamond

For healers, Courageous Primal Diamond and Sinister Primal Diamond are the most commonly used.

    Courageous Primal Diamond

If you're looking to boost healing, this gem provides 324 Intellect and has a chance to make spells cost no mana for 4 seconds. It has a 1.4 PPM mechanic, is affected by Haste, and is useful for all healing classes.

    Sinister Primal Diamond

Sinister Primal Diamond provides 324 critical strike chance and has a chance to increase spell haste by 30% for a period. It's primarily suitable for Restoration Shamans and Discipline Priests who prioritize damage. It can also be considered for Mistweaver Monks who prioritize damage.

    Healing Classes BIS Gear

    Restoration Druid

Restoration Druid Vestments of Haunted Forest 2-piece set provides approximately 6-7% healing boost and also applies to Force of Nature and Tranquility. Its 4-piece set bonus is equally powerful, increasing the healing effect of Rejuvenation. You can choose 4 pieces of gear other than the chest armor: helm, shoulders, gloves, and legs. Use individual pieces for the other slots. For Restoration Druid weapons, prioritize high item level weapons, preferably those obtained by upgrading with Valor Points.

For Restoration Druid stats, you can choose to stack Haste or Spirit. Higher Haste results in better Efflorescence healing from the 2-piece set bonus. Stacking Spirit is more effective than Haste for healing durations of 4-5 minutes or more, making it better for progression. Gems should be chosen based on your chosen stat stacking.

    Restoration Shaman

Vestments of the Witch Doctor set bonus for Restoration Shaman is relatively weak. The set bonus allows Healing Stream Totem to heal an additional target, but the healing effect is only 25%, resulting in approximately 1.5% increased healing.

The 4-piece set bonus, Ancestral Awakening, has a chance to be triggered by non-critical heal, but the effect is also very weak (approximately 0.5-1% increase), and it doesn't synergize well with critical strike stats. Elemental Shaman set offers better stats, so a combination of 2 pieces from Restoration set and 2 pieces from Elemental set is preferable.

You can choose Kilt of the Witch Doctor and Shoulderwraps of the Witch Doctor from Elemental Shaman Set, and their stats are quite good, and they're convenient for switching specializations.

Weapon selection is the same as for Druids, prioritizing item level. For stats, you can choose to stack haste or critical strike; both are viable, but critical strike might be more advantageous in a 10-man raid.

    Priest

    Discipline Priest

Vestments of the Exorcist 2-piece set bonus increases Penance's healing by approximately 20%, equivalent to an overall 2% healing increase. Strong for both Discipline and Holy Priests.

The 4-piece set can summon a Golden Apparition with intelligent effects and no flight time, which directly heals the most needed target. This provides approximately a 4% HPS increase for Discipline Priests and is slightly weaker for Holy Priests (Prayer of Healing is superior for group healing).

Therefore, the 4-piece set is slightly better than the 2-piece set or any individual pieces in terms of both healing and damage, but it's actually similar to using 0-piece and 4-piece. If you frequently switch to Shadow specialization, you can use Shadow Tier chest and gloves without significantly sacrificing healing.

In terms of stats, Mastery, at the same value, provides higher pure healing benefits than Critical Strike, while Critical Strike increases both damage and healing, and makes Divine Aegis absorption more stable. Therefore, if you're aiming for a balanced healing and damage, focus on stacking Critical Strike. If you're purely aiming for maximum healing, it's best to stack Mastery.

    Holy Priest

The 2-piece Vestments of the Lightning Emperor set is strong, while the 4-piece set is relatively weaker for Holy Priests. Since the critical strike is used relatively infrequently, you can flexibly choose between the 2-piece or 4-piece set; the difference is minimal.

    Mistweaver Monk

Fire-Charm Vestments The two-piece set bonus increases Renewing Mist healing by 15 per transfer, resulting in a roughly 2-3% overall healing increase. The four-piece bonus reduces Thunder Focus Tea's cooldown by 5 seconds, but the effect is relatively minor.

The main difference between the four-piece and two-piece setups lies in whether the gloves and leg armor use set pieces or individual pieces. If using individual pieces, Leggings of the Malformed Sapling and Anima-Ringed Fingers are good choices.

In terms of stats, stacking critical strike chance is beneficial for maximizing damage output. Alternatively, it can be combined with Courageous Primal Diamond and Glyph of Uplift for burst damage.

    Holy Paladin

The two-piece Vestments of the Lightning Emperor bonus increases Daybreak healing by 50%, roughly a 2-2.5% overall healing increase. The four-piece bonus, however, increases healing transferred to Beacon of Light by 20%, significantly boosting Eternal Flame builds and enhancing tank safety. Stacking mastery might be a better stat choice for this setup.

In Phase 3 of MoP Classic, the increase from stacking Intellect for healers is limited. Therefore, when choosing gear, it's best to focus on more effective secondary stats like Mastery and Critical Strike.

  • WoW MoP Classic Phase 3 New World Bosses Oondasta & Nalak | How To Defeat Them Based On The Skills?

    Posted: Dec 09, 2025

December this year is proving to be exceptionally busy, with many new games released in October and November still going strong, and several popular classic games releasing new patches to attract players, such as WoW MoP Classic.

As a new server launched in July this year, Mists of Pandaria Classic scheduled release Phase 3 The Thunder King at 3 PM Pacific Time on December 9th, bringing new raids, zones, bosses, and more.

While Throne of Thunder raid is the focus of Phase 3, other content should not be overlooked. Below, we will introduce information on how to deal with two new world bosses.

WoW MoP Classic Phase 3 New World Bosses Oondasta & Nalak | How To Defeat Them Based On The Skills?

    Boss 1: Oondasta

This boss's habitat is located in the center of the new zone, Isle of Giants, which is also home to various dinosaurs. You can start the boss fight after completing the dinosaur-related quests.

    Boss Skills

Oondasta has six skills, which it will use at different stages of the fight to maximize damage to your party. Each member of your team needs to prepare for and react to these skills based on their role. These skills include:

    • Alpha Male: The boss will make the strongest player in the party immune to taunts and increase the threat generated by tank-specialized players by 100%.
    • Crush: Deals a large amount of single-target damage and continuously reduces your armor by 25% for one minute.
    • Frill Blast: The boss can accumulate energy using its armor and then release a shockwave, dealing fire damage to all players within 60 yards in front of it.
    • Spiritfire Beam: Fires a beam at you, dealing fire damage. The beam will then bounce, affecting up to 99 players.
    • Piercing Roar: This skill allows Oondasta to deal physical damage to all players and interrupt your spell-casting. You will be unable to use the same spell again for 10 seconds.
    • Growing Fury: Throughout the fight, the boss continuously accumulates rage, increasing its damage by 10%, and this effect stacks until the boss dies.

How To Deal With These Skills?

To ensure that your tank players can accumulate enough threat even under the effect of the boss's Alpha Male skill, DPS players should not attack immediately at the beginning of the fight.

After that, tank players who have accumulated sufficient threat should stop attacking to reduce threat, then allow the second tank to begin building threat. This cycle should be repeated to ensure that each tank player shares the damage.

Additionally, throughout the entire fight, you must ensure you are positioned behind the boss to easily dodge Frill Blast skill, which only impacts the boss's front.

To avoid the effects of Spiritfire Beam skill, everyone needs to maintain a distance of approximately 10 yards from each other while remaining behind the boss.

As for Piercing Roar, simply ensure you stop casting before the boss uses this skill to avoid being silenced.

    Boss Fight Rewards

This boss drops Epic 522 item-level gear rewards, which only dropped from world bosses, with Reins of the Cobalt Primordial Direhorn mount item being a notable reward.

    Boss 2 Nalak

This boss is located in Isle of Thunder, another new zone introduced in Phase 3, and is close to the entrance of the new raid. However, it's important to note that to enter this zone, you must complete stage 5 of Isle of Thunder campaign on your current server.

    Boss Skills

Compared to Oondasta, Nalak has fewer main skills, only 4, but you still shouldn't take him lightly.

    • Lightning Tether: The boss can connect you and your teammates to himself, dealing approximately 10,000 Nature damage to each person every second. If you move more than 30 yards away from the boss during this time, the damage will be doubled.
    • Arc Nova: Nalak will fire a pulse of energy, dealing significant Nature damage and knocking back any players within 35 yards.
    • Stormcloud: The boss will summon a storm cloud that covers the entire arena, dealing significant Nature damage every 3 seconds for 30 seconds to all players within 10 yards.
    • Static Shield: The boss will always be surrounded by energy pulses, which deal Nature damage to a random player every 1 second.

WoW MoP Classic Phase 3 World Boss 2 Nalak

How To Deal With This Boss?

Every 15 seconds during the fight, the boss will cast Lightning Tether on players. This is unavoidable, but you can avoid the doubled damage by always staying close enough to the boss.

However, if Nalak uses Arc Nova skill, you shouldn't consider the damage from Lightning Tether; instead, it's best to immediately move more than 35 yards away from the boss, as Arc Nova's damage is instantly fatal.

Additionally, Stormcloud's skill effect means you need to maintain a distance of at least 10 yards from the boss to avoid taking extra damage.

In general, the key to dealing with Nalak is to constantly pay attention to which skill he is using to quickly determine how far away you should be from him. Sometimes even a slight difference in distance can consume you your life.

    Boss Fight Rewards

Defeating Nalak will drop Normal Tier 15 legs and gloves gear, as well as a large amount of PvP gear. And like Oondasta, Nalak will also drop a mount item, Reins of the Thundering Cobalt Cloud Serpent.

The above is the main information you should know to defeat the two new world bosses in Phase 3. Based on this, you should also contribute to the fight or heal others according to your role in the raid to ensure ultimate victory.

  • WoW MoP Classic Phase 3 Class Nerfs Explained | Major 5.5.0–5.5.1 Rollbacks Before Throne Of Thunder

    Posted: Dec 08, 2025

The phase 3 of WoW Mists of Pandaria Classic expansion will begin on December 9th, along with one of the best raids in the expansion, Throne of Thunder (December 11th).

The difficulty of Throne of Thunder is undeniable, but the developers have stated that temporary buffs granted to various classes in patches 5.5.0 and 5.5.1 will be rolled back or reset (PvE only).

For players, these classes will be nerfed in Phase 3, meaning Throne of Thunder will require more consumables and WoW MoP Classic gold to conquer. Let's take a look at this major change.

WoW MoP Classic Phase 3 Class Nerfs Explained | Major 5.5.0–5.5.1 Rollbacks Before Throne Of Thunder

    Death Knight

Summon Gargoyle mechanics have been significantly changed. Gargoyles will now smoothly cast consecutive strikes without casting intervals. This removes Unholy specialization's skillful manipulation of stacking Haste to snap more strikes. Additionally, gargoyles will have a casting time of no less than 0.5 seconds and will disappear after a maximum of 26 strikes.

In the fight against Lei Shen, using Death Strike will grant a 3-second Residual Blood effect, which can be used as active mitigation to counter the fatal Strike mechanic. And Raise Ally will no longer consume Runic Power, significantly improving the usability of Battle Resurrect.

    Shaman

The spell critical strike chance for Healing Tide Totem and Healing Stream Totem will now be calculated based on the casting shaman's Intellect.

Due to Elemental Shaman's overpowered performance in MoP Classic, all of its buffs have been reduced or rolled back in Phase 3. The damage bonus of Elemental Shaman's Lightning Bolt has been reduced from 20% to 5%. Chain Lightning bonus in Patch 5.5.1 has been removed, and Fulmination bonus has been restored to 0%.

    Warlock

Fixed an issue where Warlock DoTs would refresh their duration when casting Fire and Brimstone, or Burning Ember when it affected a group of enemies. Its Affliction and Demonology damage bonuses have also been reduced.

    Affliction:

    • Corruption: Damage bonus reduced from +20% to 0%.
    • Agony: Damage bonus reduced from +5% to 0%.
    • Drain Soul: Damage bonus reduced from +50% to +25%.
    • Drain Soul: DoT proc bonus reduced from +40% to +20%.
    • Malefic Grasp: Damage bonus reduced from +50% to +25%.
    • Malefic Grasp: DoT proc bonus reduced from +20% to +10%.

    Demonology:

    • Bane of Doom: Damage bonus reduced from +50% to +25%.
    • Hellfire: Bonus reduced from +25% to +10%.
    • Immolation Aura: Damage bonus reduced from +25% to +10%.
    • Soul Fire: Damage bonus reduced from +20% to +10%.

    Druid

    • Balance: Moonkin Form damage bonus reduced from 25% to 10%.
    • Force of Nature: Damage bonus reduced from 9.1% to 3.64%.
    • Feral: Savage Roar's damage bonus has been reduced from 5% to 0%.
    • Guardian: Bear Form's damage bonus has been reduced from 15% to 8%.
    • Restoration: Meditation's mana regeneration from Spirit during combat has been increased from 50% to 55%.

    Mage

    • Arcane: Arcane Blast, Arcane Barrage, and Arcane Missiles' damage bonuses have all been reduced to 5% (previously 15%, 19%, and 15% respectively).
    • Fire: Pyroblast's damage bonus has been reduced from 30% to 15%. Critical Mass's bonus multiplier has also been reduced from 1.5× back to 1.3×, which is the value in version 5.4.8.
    • Frost: Frostbolt, Frostfire Bolt, Ice Lance, and other abilities have had their damage bonuses significantly reduced in version 5.5.1.

Since both Arcane and Frost Mage heavily rely on previous buffs, the nerfed Fire Mage may become the strongest.

    Paladin

    • Hand of Sacrifice: No longer triggers Global Cooldown to improve its utility.
    • Templar's Verdict: Damage bonus increased from 20% to 27%.
    • Seal of Insight: Attack speed bonus reduced from 10% to 5%.
    • Protection: Grand Crusader proc chance changed to 12% (triggered by dodging, parrying, or using specific abilities), instead of the previous higher 30%. (Previously triggered by dodging/parrying)

Grand Crusader nerf will reduce the number of instant casts of Avenger's Shield, potentially slightly reducing Protection Paladin's output. Seal of Insight adjustment weakens Retribution Paladins.

    Priest

    • The previous healing reduction setting for Divine Hymn has been changed to reduce healing by 50%, further weakening its group healing ability.
    • Renew duration increased from 12 seconds to 15 seconds, which also increases the direct healing of Rapid Renew.
    • Damage bonus to Shadow Word: Pain reduced from 18% to 7%, while the overall damage bonus of Shadowform also decreased from 10% to 7%.
    • Chakra cooldown reduced, and an issue with Chakra's incorrect scaling on some abilities fixed.
    • Divine Hymn healing increased.
    • Divine Star healing reduced by 15%.
    • Prayer of Healing cast time reduced by 0.5 seconds.

    Warrior

The trigger mechanism of the 4-piece Throne of Thunder tier set has been changed. For DPS warriors, it is now triggered by Recklessness instead of Skull Banner (this increases flexibility as Skull Banner is typically used as a raid burst ability).

The +2s duration bonus Fury provided to Enrage and Berserker Rage in 5.5.0 has been completely removed, returning to +0 seconds, essentially reverting to the original. Attack Power bonus (+11%) to Protection's Shield Barrier has been removed, reverting to 1.8 times the shield's AP as in 5.4.8, a significant nerf.

    Hunter

Explosive Shot: bonus reduced to 0%.

    Monk

Windwalker: Tigereye Brew base damage bonus reduced from 5% to 3.5%.

Some of these changes are already implemented in-game, with the remainder to be added after Phase 3 arrives. However, one thing is certain: you will feel that your character's tanking, healing, and DPS will decrease, or become closer to the difficulty of the original version. This requires you to be more cautious when facing the challenge of Throne of Thunder raid.

  • WoW MoP Classic Phase 3 Jin'rokh The Breaker Boss Guide: The First Step To The Throne Of Thunder Raid!

    Posted: Dec 02, 2025

WoW Mists Of Pandaria Classic Phase 3, The Thunder King, is confirmed to launch on December 9th at 3 PM PST. Are you ready?

According to the roadmap announced at the initial release of Mists of Pandaria Classic, Phase 3 is in the middle of this expansion, so it's time for them to unleash their full potential and bring players a brand new gaming experience!

Based on the leaked information, this phase update certainly doesn't disappoint players, adding two brand new areas, new World Bosses, a Legendary questline, and a new Throne of Thunder Raid.

WoW MoP Classic Phase 3 Jin'rokh The Breaker Boss Guide: The First Step To The Throne Of Thunder Raid!

Perhaps because there hasn't been a new raid since Phase 2, Throne of Thunder raid has generated considerable buzz since its announcement. It's worth noting that the Throne of Thunder Raid will not be released alongside Phase 3 on December 9th, but will instead open on December 11th at 3:00 PM PST. Furthermore, the ToT raid introduces 13 boss fights, only one of which is optional, meaning another chaotic battle awaits!

    1. Jin'rokh the Breaker
    2. Horridon
    3. Council of Elders
    4. Megaera
    5. Ji-Kun
    6. Durumu the Forgotten
    7. Tortos
    8. Primordius
    9. Dark Animus
    10. Iron Qon
    11. Twin Consorts
    12. Lei Shen
    13. Ra-den (Optional)

The 13 bosses in Throne of Thunder Raid progress linearly, with no skipping or optional order, and the dungeon layout is intuitive, with clear paths from one boss to the next. Therefore, the first boss we face is Jin'rokh the Breaker, currently the easiest boss in Throne of Thunder.

However, don't underestimate it! To get a good start, you still need to be prepared, and this guide is the perfect opportunity to shine!

    Jin'rokh The Breaker Mechanics

In the Jin'rokh the Breaker boss fight, we used a classic dual-tank, dual-healer lineup; of course, DPS-focused combinations also work.

For this boss, there are actually only three main mechanics you need to be aware of.

    Focused Lightning

The first is Focused Lightning, a lightning orb that randomly locks onto a raid member. When the lightning orb hits a target, it places a Lightning Fissure, dealing a small amount of damage. However, don't worry, as the damage is extremely low; a small shield or even a simple personal ability is sufficient to mitigate it. Therefore, you can completely ignore the damage it causes.

What's more important is the placement of Lightning Fissure. When it hits a player, it leaves a small puddle of lightning on the ground.

Please note that you should never place another puddle on top of an existing one, as this can easily wipe the entire raid. This is because the detonation damage of Focused Lightning will be conducted through the water, dealing significant damage to players standing in the lightning puddle.

Buy IGGM WOW MoP Classic Phase 3 Gold

    Ionization

This leads to Jin'rokh's second mechanic: Ionization. This is a debuff that affects eight players in the raid. That is, everyone except the tank is affected.

Ionization works by exploding after 15 seconds, or when the debuff is dispelled, dealing 450,000 damage to yourself and all players within an 8-yard radius.

There are several different ways to deal with this debuff.

The first way is to pre-cast immunity or prevent it from taking effect altogether. Therefore, Mages, Paladins, and any other class that grants immunity to magical effects can prevent Ionization from being applied to yourself. It is crucial that you use immunity before Ionization takes effect. If you use it after it takes effect, it will detonate immediately, potentially wiping the entire raid, especially if you are standing inside the puddle.

The second way is to run out of the puddle, calling for a Dispel, using a large cooldown spell to absorb the 450,000 damage, and ensuring the damage is dispelled after leaving the puddle.

Finally, if your Dispel skill isn't high enough, you can time it so that the 15-second Ionization debuff expires naturally just as you leave the puddle. This means you don't necessarily have to dispel it, making things easier.

    Lightning Storm

Now let's talk about the third and most dangerous one - Lightning Storm. This will charge all the water on the ground. So, you should first avoid the water, as it will cause continuous damage to your entire raid. Then, pillars of lightning will fall from the sky, each unleashing four to five bolts of lightning that spread throughout the room.

So a lot is happening at once, and your primary task is to dodge these lightning orbs. Because of the continuous damage, being hit by two or three lightning orbs can easily kill you.

Again, don't worry too much about the damage, as there's almost no damage detection in this fight; just focus on dodging.

It's worth noting that in 10-player mode, you might not have enough cooldown time to withstand multiple attacks, unlike in 25-player mode. Therefore, we recommend spreading out in the early stages of 10-player mode and using all raid healing and defensive abilities.

If you have personal defensive abilities, use them as much as possible to dodge attacks. The two mechanics mentioned earlier will return after the Lightning Storm ends, but this is fine as long as you followed our previous advice.

    How To Defeat The Boss?

As we said, Jin'rokh the Breaker, as the first boss in Throne of Thunder raid, is very easy to handle, with only one repeating phase. So let's jump straight into the boss fight strategy.

First and foremost, conserve your abilities' cooldowns. You need to save all your abilities for when the first pool of Lightning Puddle appears, as the water amplifies damage.

When you're standing in those puddles, or more precisely, Conductive Water, your damage and healing will increase by 40%. Therefore, you need to schedule Bloodlust and all your abilities' cooldowns to take advantage of this damage boost.

Next, have the entire team enter the puddle and use all your potions on cooldown, along with Bloodlust, to deal as much damage as possible to the boss. Also, since Ionization will trigger at this point, it's recommended to become immune to this effect beforehand. As we mentioned before, being immune to this debuff beforehand reduces the damage dealt to the entire team and gives you more time to attack the boss.

After the first damage amplification, you need to leave the puddle. Lightning Storm will charge the puddles on the floor, and anyone remaining inside will be killed. Therefore, you need to use as many remaining defensive and raid abilities as possible to ensure your survival. Don't worry about damage during this phase; just dodge attacks and stay alive.

Then, repeat the strategy from the first throw, only slightly moving the boss to the other side of the room, where you want the next puddle to land. Then, return to the new puddle and repeat the same steps.

During this time, Ionization will reappear. If you can regain immunity to it, do so; otherwise, do as before and leave the puddle before the debuff wears off.

One last thing to note is Thundering Throw. Never stand in the area where Jin'rokh is about to throw the tank, as it will damage and stun all players within an 8-yard radius. Therefore, spread out and move only after the tank lands. Repeat this cycle until you finally defeat the boss.

That's it! Congratulations on defeating Jin'rokh the Breaker! But don't get too excited, as this is just the beginning of Throne of Thunder raid; the next boss is the real challenge. Stay tuned to IGGM; we may release a full guide to the next raid bosses in the future. Stay tuned!

  • WoW MoP Classic Phase 3 The Thunder King Thunderforging System Explained

    Posted: Nov 25, 2025

Amidst player anticipation and the development team's continuous teasers, Mists of Pandaria Classic Phase 3, titled The Thunder King, is finally confirmed to launch on December 9th at 3:00 pm PST.

As always, the release of a new phase means more new content to explore. Phase 3 will bring a new raid, 2 zones, 2 world bosses, and 3 factions, with Throne of Thunder raid undoubtedly being the highlight.

Besides the core boss battles, this raid also features numerous exclusive mechanics designed to enhance its playability, such as Thunderforging system.

This system first appeared in Mists of Pandaria and was later used in other WoW expansions, but its actual effectiveness was not very appealing.

Therefore, MoP Classic has modified it, presenting it with a completely new look in Phase 3. Below, we'll introduce the specific details.

WoW MoP Classic Phase 3 The Thunder King Thunderforging System Explained

    Thunderforging System Basic Mechanics

Throne of Thunder raid takes place in Isle of Thunder, featuring 13 bosses. During the raid, each boss you defeat may drop items that trigger Thunderforging buff, instantly leveling the item's level up by 6.

The probability of this effect triggering is not fixed, but as the raid difficulty increases, the number of items dropped by bosses also increases, so theoretically, the higher the difficulty level, the greater the probability of triggering it.

Generally, if your team obtains one or more Thunderforged items before the raid ends, it's best to focus them on your strongest member, maximizing that member's abilities to increase the win rate against subsequent bosses.

Thunderforging System Changes In MoP Classic Phase 3

Due to the extremely low trigger rate, it was previously difficult to obtain truly top-tier gear using Thunderforging system during raids, leading many players to believe that the system did not provide any useful assistance in completing raids.

However, aside from the probability aspect, Thunderforging's design itself is quite appealing. Therefore, in the upcoming WoW MoP Classic Phase 3, the developers have chosen to add changes to optimize and retain it.

Based on this, the new Thunderforging system operates as follows:

    • In Normal and Heroic difficulties, Thunderforged items that drop directly are 6 levels higher than normal items.
    • During Throne of Thunder raid, Thunderforged normal and heroic items cannot be upgraded.
    • During Throne of Thunder raid, normal items that drop in Normal and Heroic difficulties can be upgraded a maximum of twice by consuming Justice Points, each time increasing their level by 3.

Furthermore, the new Phase 3 introduces Mogu Rune of Fate. This item allows all players in the party who possess it to have a second chance to choose additional rewards from a specific boss's loot list after the boss fight ends.

After using this rune, the system will randomly generate a number for you. If the number is higher than a certain threshold, you will receive random specialization gear; if it is lower, you will only receive WoW MoP Classic gold.

While there are limitations to rune usage, and there's no guarantee that the item you get next will trigger Thunderforged, the higher the reward, the greater the chance.

It's worth noting that if you choose from the reward list for the heroic difficulty boss Ra-den, you will definitely receive a Thunderforged item of level 541 as long as your roll is high enough.

In fact, all items dropped by this boss are Thunderforged, but each team only has 30 chances to challenge it per week. If you fail to defeat Ra-den within 30 attempts, you must wait until the next raid reset to challenge him again.

    Thunderforging System's Item Upgrade Mechanism

During the initial weeks after Phase 3 launch, outside of Throne of Thunder raids, upgrading these items will require 250 Valor Points each time, after which it will consume approximately 1000 Justice Points.

This mechanism is likely designed to balance the game environment, preventing players from gaining too much progress in the early stages of Phase 3 and becoming unplayable later on, as Valor Point acquisition has a weekly cap.

Furthermore, Thunderforged items dropped in the first few weeks will allow you to enjoy their max item level without upgrading, meaning you can safely use Valor Points to upgrade regular gear or for other purposes.

Since Mists of Pandaria Classic Phase 3 hasn't started yet, you can now fully utilize Phase 2 mechanics to accumulate resources in advance, such as consuming Valor Points to exchange for Commendation of Justice items.

These items will grant you more Phase 2 Justice Points, which will be converted into Valor Points once Phase 3 begins. However, if the number of Valor Points to be converted exceeds 4000, the excess will be converted into gold.

This allows you to focus on developing new content during the first few weeks of Phase 3 without having to focus on earning Valor Points.

It's important to note that two types of gear cannot be upgraded in this system:

  • WoW MoP Classic Phase 3 Preview | Isle Of Thunder, Throne Of Thunder Raid, And Major PTR Updates

    Posted: Nov 04, 2025

Phase 3 of WoW MoP Classic seems to be just around the corner. The official announcement includes two PTR tests, and they've also released Mists of Pandaria Patch 5.5.3 PTR developer log.

The developer log reveals most of the content players are interested in, including how to unlock new zones, world bosses, and the much-anticipated Thunderforging system.

WoW MoP Classic Phase 3 Preview | Isle Of Thunder, Throne Of Thunder Raid, And Major PTR Updates

    New Zones

The new Phase 3 zone, the Isle of Thunder, will be unlocked similarly to Sunwell in The Burning Crusade or Ahn'Qiraj war effort in WoW Classic. Players will need to complete daily quests, unlock additional questlines, and find rare elites and treasures to gradually unlock this zone.

    World Bosses

Oondasta is located at the northernmost point of the Isle of Giants, and players can test it with the developers on November 7th at 3 PM.

Another World Boss, Nalak, is equivalent to Sha of Anger in Phase 3, dropping Class Tier Sets and current PvP season gear. However, Nalak will only appear after Thunder Isle is fully unlocked, making it part of the final phase.

    Throne Of Thunder Raid

Throne of Thunder contains 12 unique boss fights. Its PTR testing period is as follows:

    • Round 1: November 4th, 10:00 AM PST to November 7th, 8:00 AM PST.
    • Round 2: November 14th, 10:00 AM PST to November 17th, 8:00 AM PST.

    Mogu Runes Of Fate

Phase 3 will introduce Mogu Runes of Fate, which are used for bonus rolls in Throne of Thunder raids, Nalak, and Oondasta. There is a weekly cap on how many Mogu Runes you can obtain, similar to Elder Charms of Good Fortune, with each Mogu Run costing 50 Lesser Charms of Good Fortune.

    Thunderforging System Changes

Thunderforging system was quite controversial in the original Mists of Pandaria. Initially, Thunderforging system gave equipment dropped from Throne of Thunder (Normal or Heroic difficulty) or obtained through extra dice rolls a chance to become Thunderforged items, gaining an additional 6 Item Levels.

The system was entirely based on RNG, which made gear acquisition highly reliant on luck, easily leading to conflicts between players over loot. Therefore, the developers made some changes in WoW MoP Classic.

The developers decided to allow players to use Justice Points to upgrade non-Thunderforging Throne of Thunder gear twice, each time increasing the item level by 3, for a total increase of 6 item levels, while Thunderforged gear can no longer be upgraded.

This change also reduced the randomness, lessening the frustration of Thunderforging gear drops, while still making bonus rolls and non-Thunderforging gear valuable. Additionally, Thunderforged gear saves Justice Points needed for upgrades, so it remains valuable, but won't cause excessive competition due to its overwhelmingly powerful stats.

Overall, the overall item level of the raid will be higher than in the original phase, slightly reducing the difficulty of raids. However, given that Thunderforging raids are significantly more difficult than T14 (such as Mogu'shan Vaults), this change is reasonable and beneficial in WoW MoP Classic.

Finally, the number of attempts to challenge Ra-den - the hidden final boss of Throne of Thunder (Heroic difficulty only) - is limited. Raids must defeat him within 30 attempts, or he will disappear, and players will have to wait until the following week.

    Challenge Modes And Rewards

Phase 3 Challenge Modes now include Platinum Medals, requiring players to complete dungeons within a set time to earn additional rewards.

Each dungeon's Platinum Medals rewards an achievement and a dungeon-exclusive toy. These toys are Platinum versions of existing items and are count-wide. The following are the toy items offered in each dungeon:

Temple of the Jade Serpent: Platinum Boots of Expeditious Retreat

    • Gate of the Setting Sun: Platinum Rod of Ambershaping

    • Gate of the Setting Sun: 8:00
    • Shado-Pan Monastery: 14:00

    • Mogu'shan Palace: 8:15
    • Scholomance: 10:15
    • Scarlet Halls: 8:00

Additionally, completing all Challenge Mode Platinum ratings in Seasons 2 and 3 will earn you the server's first achievement.

First-time Platinum Challenge completions for each dungeon reward you with Platinum Coins, which can be exchanged for transmogrification sets, toys, and mounts.

Furthermore, Celestials bosses will be updated, and their loot and mechanics may include equipment and boss abilities from the Throne of Thunder.

At the end of each Challenge Mode season, the player who maintains Realm Best Time will receive an exclusive title and mount:

    Season 1

    • Title: The Mistwalker
    • Mount: Reins of the Celestial Serpent

    Season 2

    • Title: Mistborne
    • Mount: Reins of the Celestial Tiger

    Season 3

    • Title: Heir to the Mist
    • Mount: (Not yet announced)

    Other Updates

After reaching Exalted reputation with The Tillers, players can speak with Farmer Yoon to take over Sunsong Farm (requires unlocking 16 farms).

Warlocks can start a questline through Codex of Xerrath; completing the quest changes their fire skill's effect to fel green.

This concludes the general content of Mists of Pandaria Classic Phase 3 PTR. Although the official release date hasn't been announced yet, it's clear it won't be too far after PTR ends. It's expected to go live around early December, though no exact date has been announced yet.

  • WoW MoP Classic Phase 3 Release Date Prediction | Throne Of Thunder PTR, Raid Details & Updates

    Posted: Oct 29, 2025

It's been over a month since the release of WoW MoP Classic Phase 2 on September 23rd. Due to the limited content of Phase 2, players have been bored, and many have left.

The player community is impatient for Phase 3, Throne of Thunder, with many urging for its release. Recently, the official announcement of Throne of Thunder PTR was released, potentially indicating that Phase 3 is imminent.

WoW MoP Classic Phase 3 Release Date Prediction | Throne Of Thunder PTR, Raid Details & Updates

Announcement Content And Phase 3 Release Date Prediction

In the recently released announcement, the official team announced that Throne of Thunder Raids will be tested during the following periods:

    • Raid test 1 – November 4-6
    • Raid test 2 – November 14-17

Meanwhile, according to a leak from the well-known source Algalon the Observer on X, World of Warcraft Classic PTR server has just been updated with a new version.

The version number has been updated from 5.5.1 (the prequel to Siege of Orgrimmar, usually referring to the Battle of Pandaria) to 5.5.2. Version 5.5.2 corresponds to the major content patch Throne of Thunder, part of 5.2.0 (the 2013 patch).

Similar minor PTR updates (from 5.5.1 to 5.5.2) appeared before the official release of WoW MoP Classic Phase 2 Landfall patch, suggesting that Throne of Thunder might be coming soon!

    Release Date Prediction

Since the PTR testing lasts approximately two weeks, and a release during Thanksgiving week (the third week of November) is highly unlikely, the predicted release dates for Phase 3 PTR are as follows:

    • November 18th: A slightly accelerated but possible date.
    • December 2nd or 4th: A date more in line with the regular release cycle.

The first phase was a pretty good start, but the second phase was relatively dull in comparison, which is why players are so eager for the third phase. Throne of Thunder is one of the most acclaimed raids in World of Warcraft history, but it's also extremely difficult. Many of the first raiders to clear it have vivid memories of it; almost every boss in the raid has a very interesting mechanic.

To successfully complete this raid, your gear needs to be at least BiS (or near-BiS) level for the current version. You'll also need to prepare potions, elixirs, and some first-aid items to boost your stats.

If you want to earn some WoW MoP Classic gold before the start of the third phase, you can craft these items in advance, and their value will definitely increase after the third phase begins.

How To Unlock Throne Of Thunder Raid?

In the original game, players contributed progress by completing quest chains and daily quests on the Isle of Thunder to unlock the raid. This process will be very fast on the current highly centralized servers, as Sunwell only takes two days to unlock on a mega server.

While the specific unlocking method is still unclear, and a server-wide cooperative unlocking mechanism is no longer unusual, retaining this mechanism is a cool experience. Furthermore, since the servers are now integrated, there won't be any issues with smaller servers being unable to complete the process.

Aspects For Improvement In Phase 3

    Thunderforged

However, Phase 3 includes a controversial system, Thunderforged, which is the precursor to the later Warforge and Titanforge systems. It's a rare quality item dropped in Throne of Thunder raid, with an item level 6 levels higher than its regular counterpart.

However, players don't really like it, mainly because this disparity can lead to conflict and hostility among hardcore players and raid groups. This is especially true for efficiency-driven guilds, causing unnecessary competition and dissatisfaction. Furthermore, the already complex loot pool from each boss makes each item essentially two versions.

Retaining this system intact might negatively impact the game. If the developers decide to modify it, they could choose to remove it entirely, eliminate randomness and allow all drops to directly upgrade, or allow players to use Justice Points or Valor Points for consistent upgrades.

    Flex Raiding

Given the high difficulty of Throne of Thunder, introducing a flexible raid system might be better, allowing raids to be limited to a certain number of players, such as 20-30. Raid difficulty will be dynamically adjusted based on the actual number of players, rather than randomly matching you with another player.

This is because anyone who has experienced high-difficulty raids in MMOs knows that these raids contain many instant-death attacks, requiring players to cooperate and follow commands to successfully navigate the most difficult mechanics of each phase. If any player cannot communicate, it could be a wipe, and forcing it might just be a waste of consumables and WoW MoP Classic gold.

If raid difficulty is dynamically adjusted based on the number of players, the difficulty of forming a group will be significantly reduced.

The above is a general overview of the third phase of Mists of Pandaria Classic and Throne of Thunder. The third phase may be coming soon, but it's likely still a month away from official release, so prepare your best weapons and armor and wait patiently.

  • WoW MoP Classic Hallow's End 2025 Guide | Headless Horseman Boss, Quests, Rewards & Tips

    Posted: Oct 24, 2025

Halloween 2025 is almost here! Every year at this time, not only is life filled with various Halloween activities and elements, but most games also host in-game celebrations or offer Halloween-themed rewards.

As an MMORPG with over 20 years of existence, World of Warcraft has its own dedicated Hallow's End, available in both the base game and its expansions.

WoW MoP Classic launched in July of this year, and Phase 2 is currently underway. Its Hallow's End officially began on October 18th! Below, we'll explain how to participate in Halloween events on this Eastern-themed server.

WoW MoP Classic Hallow's End 2025 Guide | Headless Horseman Boss, Quests, Rewards & Tips

Hallow's End In MoP Classic Overview

This event will run until November 1st, the day after Halloween in the real world. During this time, you can participate in various fun activities or defeat the event-exclusive boss, Headless Horseman, in Scarlet Monastery to win rewards.

Participate In Daily Events To Collect Items

During Hallow's End, you can explore various zones and kill enemies to collect loot. For example, monsters above level 60 will drop an 18-slot Jack-o'-lantern, while monsters at level 50 will drop a 16-slot Pumpkin Bag.

In addition, candy buckets are hidden at inns in Azeroth and Outland. Finding these will grant a Handful of Treats. Alternatively, you may find open apple barrels floating on the pools in an inn. Clicking on the pools instantly grants you 5 Bobbing Apples.

These special apples restore health over 24 seconds when consumed. Consuming them for at least 10 seconds even grants stamina and spirit buffs. Therefore, we recommend saving these apples for Hallow's End boss fight.

    Putting Out Fires Questline

This event questline involves the boss, Headless Horseman. He rides his horse through six villages in Azeroth, dropping flaming pumpkins and setting them on fire. Help the villagers put out the fires and save the villages to receive a reward.

    Quest 1

The first mission will differ depending on your faction. Alliance players will receive Fire Brigade Practice, while Horde players will receive Fire Training.

To complete this mission, you must follow the mission instructions to find five burning scarecrows and use the nearby buckets of water to put out their flames. Here are the steps:

    • 1. Right-click the bucket, fill it with water, and place it in your inventory.
    • 2. Right-click the filled bucket, aim the aiming circle at the burning scarecrows, and click to release.
    • 3. After extinguishing all the scarecrows, return to claim your reward.

    Quest 2

This mission will differ depending on whether the village you arrive at is already on fire. If not, you'll need to receive the quest "Let the Fires Come!"; if flames are already raging, you'll need to receive "Stop the Fires!".

Both missions require you to use your existing firefighting skills to help the villagers put out the fires. Afterward, Shade of the Horseman will appear. You'll need to kill him, causing a giant pumpkin to appear. Click the pumpkin to receive the following rewards:

    • Weighted Jack-o'-Lantern
    • Rickety Magic Broom
    • Folded Letter
    • Handful of Treats
    • Wands, masks, and/or a few more Tricky Treats

    Hallow's End Orphan Treats Questline

This questline has nothing to do with the boss. Instead, you'll run around collecting candy from relevant NPCs in various towns and distribute it to the orphans.

Each collection corresponds to a quest. Completing each quest increases your faction's reputation with their main city by 250 points and rewards you with 30 Hallow's End Pumpkin Treats. The quests are as follows:

Alliance - Hallow's End Treats for Jesper!:

    • Flexing for Nougat - Innkeeper Allison - /Ways 53-66.
    • Chicken Clucking for a Mint - Innkeeper Firebrew - /Ways 18-51.
    • Incoming Gumdrop - Talvash del Kissel - /Ways 36-4.
    • Dancing for Marzipan - Innkeeper Saelienne - /Ways 67-16.

Horde - Hallow's End Treats for Spoops!:

    • Flexing for Nougat - Innkeeper Gryshka - /Ways 54-68.
    • Incoming Gumdrop - Kali Remik - /Ways 56-74.
    • Chicken Clucking for a Mint - Innkeeper Norman - /Ways 68-39.
    • Dancing for Marzipan - Innkeeper Pala - /Ways 46-65.

How To Defeat The Final Boss Of This Event?

Headless Horseman boss encounter has three phases, and he regenerates his health before each phase, so the entire fight can take quite a while.

To ensure you can defeat the boss battle in one go, we recommend entering with a group and redeem enough consumables, such as potions, flasks, or food, through WoW MoP Classic gold beforehand.

WoW MoP Classic Hallow's End Headless Horseman Boss

    Phase 1

The first half of this phase is straightforward: attack the boss until his health reaches 1%. He'll then throw his head, and his body will begin to regenerate, but you'll want to focus all your firepower on the head.

When the head's health reaches approximately 60%, or the boss's torso reaches 100%, the head and body will connect, triggering Phase 2.

    Phase 2

This phase is completed similarly to Phase 1, with the only caveat being that the boss will cast Conflagrate on a random player. Phase 3 begins when the boss's head's health reaches 30%, or the body reaches 100%.

    Phase 3

During this phase, Headless Horseman will spawn four Pumpkin Fiends in the arena every 30 seconds for you to pick up. These provide additional loot.

When the boss's health is reduced to 1% through attacks, its head will fly out again. Destroy the head completely to end the battle.

Note that if you don't destroy the head before the boss body's health reaches 100% during Phase 3, this phase will repeat until you do.

    Boss Battle Rewards

Rewards are divided into two parts, provided by Pumpkin Fiends and Headless Horseman. Details are as follows:

    Pumpkin Fiend Rewards:

    • The Horseman's Horrific Hood
    • The Horseman's Sinister Slicer
    • Hallowed Helm
    • Sinister Squashling
    • Magic Broom
    • Swift Magic Broom
    • The Horseman's Reins

    Boss Rewards:

    • Seal of Ghoulish Glee
    • Band of the Petrified Pumpkin
    • The Horseman's Ring
    • Wicked Witch's Signet
    • Weighted Jack-o'-Lantern

The above is the core of this event. There are actually more detailed quests and achievements to complete. If you're short on time or just want to complete the key quests, our guide should be sufficient!

  • WoW MoP Classic Phase 2 Landfall Campaign Guide | Completing Quests For Alliance And Horde

    Posted: Oct 11, 2025

WoW MoP Classic Phase 2 launched on September 23rd. While Phase 2 might seem underwhelming compared to the numerous raids and activities during Phase 1, it still includes some worthwhile quests, such as Landfall Campaign.

While most of the quests in this campaign take place in PvP-style locations, you'll need to complete them alongside NPCs, so you won't have to worry about difficulty or interference from other players.

The only caveat is that Landfall Campaign is strongly faction-specific, meaning that both the method for unlocking the campaign and the rewards available depend on whether you're from Alliance or Horde.

Below, we'll provide different strategies for completing Landfall Campaign, categorized by faction.

WoW MoP Classic Phase 2 Landfall Campaign Guide | Completing Quests For Alliance And Horde

    Completing Landfall Campaign - Alliance

Completing Landfall Campaign as soon as possible is recommended, not only because of the new gear you'll receive, but also because it allows you to unlock Pandaria Campaign and the next chapter of your Legendary quest chain.

    How To Unlock The Campaign?

Whether you're Alliance or Horde, you must complete a series of prerequisite quests to unlock Landfall Campaign. Below are Alliance-specific quests and the relevant NPCs.

    • Meet the Scout: Lyalia, Scout Lynna
    • A King Among Men: Marshal Troteman, Hilda Hornswaggle
    • Lion's Landing

The final quest requires you to travel to Krasarang Cove and use a flare launcher to signal Alliance fleet, which will then allow you to begin the next step in the campaign.

Note that this also unlocks the ability to earn reputation points for Operation: Shieldwall. As you progress through Landfall Campaign, you'll earn some reputation points, which you can then continue farming to earn reputation level rewards.

    How To Complete The Campaign?

Before beginning Landfall Campaign, you must first find and kill three Rares within your faction's camp. This will earn you 500 reputation points with The Black Prince and the faction-exclusive "I'm In Your Base, Killing Your Dudes" reward.

If you're Alliance, the three Rares and their coordinates are:

    • Champion of Arms: Kar Warmaker - Domination Point's East entrance. (/way 13.4 54.8)
    • Champion of the Light: Muerta - The left of the inner fortress. (/way 9.6 54.6)
    • Champion of the Shadows: Ubunti the Shade - Domination Point Tower. (/way 13.2 66.0)

    Rewards for killing them include:

    • Blood-Soaked Invitation
    • Alliance Insignia of Conquering
    • SI:7 Operative's Manual
    • Steadfast Footman's Medallion

What Quests Are Required To Complete?

To be honest, completing Landfall Campaign is a lengthy process, as it involves many quests and is tied to your Operation: Shieldwall reputation level. New Landfall Campaign quests unlock at specific reputation levels.

It's important to note that each specific Landfall Campaign task actually includes multiple steps. To save you time, we've listed them below.

    • The Man With a Thousand Faces (950 Friendly)
    • The Voice of the Gods (4900 Friendly)
    • Jaina's Hope (2850 Honored)
    • The Korune (6800 Honored)
    • Heart of the Alliance (10750 Honored)
    • Secrets of the Past (2700 Revered)

    Completing Landfall Campaign - Horde

If you are a member of Horde, you will need to complete the following quests to unlock the campaign:

    • Meet the Scout: Sunwalker Dezco, Scout Rokla.
    • The Might of the Warchief: Blood Guard Gro'tash, Grizzle Gearslip.
    • Domination Point: Light a signal fire on the beach at Horde landing point to signal Horde fleet.

The new faction for earning reputation with Horde is Dominance Offensive, centered around Krasarang Wilds. You can increase your reputation by completing Landfall Campaign and daily reputation quests.

    Where Are The Killable Rares?

For Horde players, in addition to The Black Prince reputation, "I'm In Your Base, Killing Your Dudes" rewards for killing three Rares include:

    • Blood-Soaked Invitation
    • Horde Insignia of Conquering
    • Kor'kron Book of Hurting
    • Mark of the Hardened Grunt

For specific Rares coordinates, please refer to the following:

    • Champion of Arms: Dalan Nightbreaker - Lion's Landing beach. (/way 85.0 27.6)
    • Champion of the Light: Disha Fearwarden - One tent inside the fortress. (/way 87.4 29.2)
    • Champion of the Shadows: Mavis Harms - On the docks. (/way 84.6 31.0)

    Horde Landfall Campaign Quests

Like Alliance, Horde Landfall Campaign quests unlocked are tied to reputation with the new Dominance Offensive faction. These quests include:

    • The Voice of the Gods (950 Friendly)
    • The Horde Is Family (4900 Friendly)
    • Blood For Blood (2850 Honored)
    • The Korune (6800 Honored)
    • Pride (10750 Honored)
    • Rise of the Blood Elves (2700 Revered)
    • Secrets of the Past (6650 Revered)
    • The Divine Bell (before 8600 Revered)
    • The Darnassus Operation (before 14540 Revered)
    • The Purge of Dalaran (before 18500 Revered)
    • Breath of Darkest Shadow (Exalted)

Whether you're from Horde or Alliance, with completing Landfall Campaign, will have maximized your reputation with your new faction, and help you earn the associated reputation rewards and achievements.

It's worth noting that Operation: Shieldwall is essentially a counterpoint to Dominance Offensive, so you can engage in PvP combat against members of the opposing faction within Krasarang Wilds to earn additional rewards.

This concludes the main guide for completing Landfall Campaign in WoW MoP Classic for each faction. This is a long-term campaign, so take your time and enjoy the game!

Completing quests in Landfall Campaign may require you to collect and submit specific materials. While these materials can be obtained through foraging or combat drops, farming them can be quite tedious.

To save time and complete the campaign quickly, you can buy cheap WoW MoP Classic gold on IGGM and then use that gold to buy the materials you need to complete the quests faster!

  • WoW MoP Classic Phase 2 Shadow Priest Guide | Best Talents, BiS Gear & DPS Build

    Posted: Sep 30, 2025

While WoW MoP Classic Phase 2 doesn't add new raids, Krasarang Wilds Campaign and Brawler's Guild remain challenging. Therefore, choosing a specific build is crucial to maximize your advantage in this new phase.

If you're out of ideas, our Shadow Priest build guide is here to help.

Why did we choose Shadow Priest to kick off MoP Classic Phase 2? It's because of their powerful sustained damage, excellent multi-target abilities, a more cohesive gameplay loop thanks to the improved Shadow Orbs system, and the damage and healing buffs from the Twist of Fate talent.

These mechanics work together to allow Shadow Priest to deal sustained damage to multiple enemies. Combined with their high survivability and utility, they're a top-tier class in the later stages of Mists of Pandaria Classic.

WoW MoP Classic Phase 2 Shadow Priest Guide | Best Talents, BiS Gear & DPS Build

    Talents

As for Talent system, Shadow Priest's versatility allows us to tailor it to the type of content we're playing, whether it's daily quests, PvP, or raids, especially when more mobility or specific defensive or offensive support is needed.

    Tier 1

    • Void Tendrils: A powerful choice for pulling multiple targets, as it roots them while allowing you to continue dealing damage while moving.
    • Dominate Mind: Controls the target's mind, temporarily placing them under Yogg-Saron's control and reducing their Sanity by 4%. This can be used to control adds in specific situations.

    Tier 2

    • Angelic Feather: A very powerful movement speed boost option, providing excellent positioning flexibility.
    • Body and Soul: Significantly increases the movement speed of the target of a Power Word: Shield or Leap of Faith for a period of time. Once cast on a target, this talent grants them a 60% movement speed bonus for 4 seconds, making it very useful for quickly evading or repositioning.
    • Phantasm: Provides a movement speed boost after using Fade, making it very useful in certain encounters.

    Tier 3

    • Solace and Insanity: Often the best choice for increased damage, as it significantly boosts your Mind Flay's damage while Devouring Plague is active.
    • From Darkness, Comes Light: A viable alternative to Mind Spike's instant trigger, effectively increasing burst damage.
    • Mindbender: A good mana regeneration option after your Shadowfiend is enhanced.

    Tier 4

    • Angelic Bulwark: A powerful passive defensive ability that can save you when your health drops below 30%.
    • Desperate Prayer: An active defensive ability that provides healing, useful when you need more burst healing.

    Tier 5

    • Twist of Fate: A great choice for a Tier 5 talent, providing a significant damage and healing boost, primarily refreshed by spot-killing low-health targets.
    • Divine Insight: This makes the next Mind Blast active immediately after Shadow Word: Pain triggers, costing no mana. This talent is highly competitive in high-mobility fights where mana management and maximum damage are crucial.
    • Power Infusion: This skill is more suited for supporting other players and tends to fall short of Twist of Fate for individual DPS.

    Tier 6

    • Halo: A default choice for most fights, providing decent damage and a short cooldown.
    • Divine Star: A powerful alternative with a short cooldown, instant cast time, and immunity to Shadow Lock.
    • Cascade: Ideal for maximizing area pressure in certain comps.

    Attribute Prioritization

For Shadow Priests in MoP Classic WoW, prioritizing gear with higher Intellect stats is optimal, followed by Hit, Spirit, and Expertise to reach the 15% hit cap. Haste, Mastery, and finally Critical Strike are crucial.

    • Intellect: This is the primary stat for Shadow Priest, so try to choose gear with the highest item level to boost it.
    • Hit/Spirit/Expertise: Aim for a total hit chance of 15% to cap your hit rating. However, note that once you exceed this cap, the benefits provided by these stats diminish.
    • Haste: This increases your casting speed and the frequency of DoT spells.
    • Mastery: Gives your periodic shadow damage spells a chance to deal bonus damage.
    • Critical Strike: Increases the critical strike chance of your spells and damage over time effects, and summons Shadowy Apparitions when Shadow Word: Pain triggers a critical strike.

    BiS Gear Setup

Shadow Priest's BiS gear choices vary by stage. If you have plenty of WoW MoP Classic Gold, aim for Korven's Amber-Sealed Beetle and Guardian Serpent Shoulderguards from Terrace of Endless Spring Raid. You can also consider using August Stone Fragments from Celestial Dungeons as pre-raid BiS gear.

Note that your attribute weights will change as you acquire new gear, so it's best to use a gear simulator to find the best options for your character before equipping them.

Here are our recommended items. For the rest, you can choose your own items based on your playstyle and the type of content you're looking to play:

    • Neck: Korven's Amber-Sealed Beetle
