  • Pokémon Go Journey To Paldea Event Guide | How To Catch New Pokémon And Complete Researches & Raids?

    Posted: Dec 03, 2025

As one of the first events following the start of Pokémon Go Precious Paths Season, Journey to Paldea officially began on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025 at 10:00 AM!

The event will run until December 9th at 8:00 PM, giving you approximately one week to complete tasks, earn rewards, and have a chance to catch the new Salt Rock Pokémon Nacli, as well as other Pokemon with increased appearance rates for a limited time.

To help you focus on the event itself and avoid wasting time understanding the mechanics and content, we've prepared a detailed guide to Journey to Paldea event.

Pokémon Go Journey To Paldea Event Guide | How To Catch New Pokémon And Complete Researches & Raids?

    Which Pokémon Can You Encounter?

Undoubtedly, the most anticipated feature is the new Pokémon Nacli. Due to its unique characteristics, it doesn't have the rounded shape of most Pokémon; instead, it resembles a stack of small cubes, especially after evolution.

This Pokémon can evolve twice, into Naclstack and Garganacl, by consuming 25 and 100 Nacli Candy, respectively. Throughout the event, the appearance rate of Nacli, Grass-type Pokémon Smoliv, and Electric-type Pawmi will increase.

In addition, some Pokémon will receive increased appearance rates at different points during the event, including:

    • December 2, 4, 6, and 8: Larvitar, Drifloon, Skrelp
    • December 3, 5, 7, and 9: Bagon, Misdreavus, Clauncher

Except for Nacli, all other Pokémon will appear in their shiny forms, with shiny Larvitar and Bagon having a higher appearance rate.

If you want to further increase their appearance rate or your catch rate, you can buy Pokémon Go PokeCoins and exchange them for related items, especially if you haven't caught your desired Pokémon by the time the event ends.

Pokémon Go Which Pokémon Can You Encounter?

    Complete Field Research

Journey to Paldea event introduced three Field Research quests. Completing them will grant you more opportunities to encounter new or increased-probability shiny Pokémon. Details are as follows:

    • Catch 5 different species of Pokémon: Nacli
    • Power up Pokémon 10 times: Nacli
    • Make 10 Great Throws: Bagon and Larvitar

If you have the budget, you can consume real currency to redeem and complete Paid Timed Research (for example $1.99 USD). This research will reward you with an extra encounter with Larvitar or Bagon after catching a certain number of Pokémon.

After catching 20 Pokémon, you can continue to receive 3,000 Stardust, 2 Premium Battle Passes, and a Nacli encounter as the ultimate reward for completing the entire research.

    All 3-Star Raids

In addition to Pokémon mentioned above, Journey to Paldea event also brings 5 3-star raids. Each raid will feature a unique Pokémon; winning the battle gives you a chance to obtain it!

    Blaze Breed Paldean Tauros Raid

Pokémon corresponding to this raid is Paldean Combat Breed Tauros Iberian Peninsula, which has both Fighting and Fire types. Types that are super effective against it include Ground, Psychic, Flying, and Water.

Therefore, if you want to complete this raid, bringing the following Pokémon will be more effective:

    • Mega Rayquaza
    • Shadow Mewtwo
    • Mega Alakazam
    • Primal Kyogre
    • Primal Groudon

    Combat Breed Paldean Tauros Raid

Pokémon Paldean Tauros (Blaze Breed) will appear in this raid. Its type is Fighting. Pokémon that are super effective against it are:

    • Mega Rayquaza
    • Shadow Mewtwo
    • Mega Alakazam
    • Rayquaza

    Aqua Breed Paldean Tauros Raid

    • Mega Rayquaza
    • Shadow Mewtwo
    • Mega Alakazam
    • Mega Sceptile
    • Mega Gallade
    • Incarnate Forme Enamorus

    • Mega Sceptile
    • Regieleki
    • Kartana
    • Shadow Raikou
    • Shadow Electivire
    • Xurkitree
    • Therian Thundurus

    Bombirdier Raid

This Pokémon from Paldean Region, besides its obvious Flying type, is also a Dark type. Pokémon types that are effective against it include Electric, Ice, Rock, and Fairy. Based on this, we recommend the following options:

    • Mega Gardevoir
    • White Kyurem
    • Regieleki
    • Mega Diancie
    • Shadow Rampardos

    • Suicune gains Water Gun, making it one of the best Water-type tank Pokémon in Dynamax battles.

However, the new additions this season, such as Gigantamax Meowth, Dynamax Hitmon Lee, and Hitmonchan, are not expected to perform well in PvP or raid battles, lacking powerful Pokémon that can revolutionize gameplay. Upcoming holiday events and GO Tournament may introduce stronger Pokémon.

  • Pokemon Go High Voltage Event Guide | Available Pokémon, Rewards, And Researches

    Posted: Nov 19, 2025

Whether in the anime or spin-off games, you'll always find new wild Pokemon waiting to be discovered in Pokemon world! This keeps them always fresh.

In contrast, while the anime usually introduces new Pokemon through storylines in new episodes, the classic game Pokemon Go typically introduces new Pokemon through limited-time events.

Yes, even after nearly a decade, Pokémon Go remains active and has a loyal fanbase, so much so that you can now participate in the latest limited-time event, High Voltage!

So how do you play this event? What new Pokemon does it bring? We'll answer all your questions.

Pokemon Go High Voltage Event Guide | Available Pokémon, Rewards, And Researches

    High Voltage Event Overview

This event introduces new Shiny Pokemon and increases the appearance rate of other rare Pokemon, giving you the opportunity to enrich your high-end Pokemon collection. The more you catch, the richer the rewards!

Compared to other events held in early November, High Voltage has less battle element; you can focus on venturing out and completing quests to acquire Electric-type Pokémon.

    Event Schedule

The event began on Tuesday, November 18th, 2025, at 10:00 AM and will continue until Saturday, November 22nd at 8:00 PM, a total of four days and 10 hours. During this period, simply log in daily to activate the following rewards once a day:

    • Achieving a "Nice" or better rating when throwing a Poké Ball will grant double Catch XP.
    • Successfully catching any Pokémon will grant double Stardust.

More XP means you can level up to catch rarer Pokémon, while a large amount of Stardust will accelerate your Pokémon's leveling. Therefore, these two rewards are not to be missed!

It's important to note that to guarantee the second bonus, you must successfully catch a Pokémon. Therefore, it's best to buy Pokemon Go PokeCoins to exchange for incense or lures, which continuously attract Pokémon, to increase your success rate.

    What Pokemon Can You Catch?

Pokémon appearing at this event are primarily Electric-type. While most of them cannot evolve further, their base forms already possess considerable fighting power and are worth having, so don't hesitate to invest your time and effort in catching them!

The most important and anticipated new Pokemon is Shiny Morpeko. It possesses both Electric and Devil types and has two interchangeable forms: Full Belly and Hangry. Other existing Pokémon whose appearance rate will increase during High Voltage include:

    • Emolga (Electric/Flying-type)
    • Dedenne (Electric/Fairy-type)
    • Togedemaru (Electric/Steel-type)
    • Shinx (Electric-type)

These Pokémon, including Morpeko, are primarily yellow, black, and white in color, and look round and adorable! And if you're lucky enough, you might also encounter Shiny forms of other Pokémon, so be sure to seize the opportunity to catch them!

    All Playable Content

Besides catching limited-time Pokemon, during High Voltage, you can complete related tasks to increase your chances of encountering other less common Pokémon.

Most of these tasks will be released as time-limited research and are not difficult to complete. All tasks and their corresponding rewards are as follows:

    • Catch 10 Electric-type Pokémon: Blitzle, Joltik, or Yamper encounter
    • Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokémon: Emolga or Morpeko encounter
    • Spin 5 PokéStop or Gyms: Magnemite or Voltorb encounter
    • Take a snapshot of an Electric-type Pokémon: Plusle or Minun encounter
    • Use an Electric-type Charged Attack in a battle: Morpeko encounter
    • Power up Electric-type Pokémon 10 times: Dedenne or Morpeko encounter

Pokemon whose appearance rate can be increased through these research activities mainly include:

    • Magnemite (Electric/Steel-type)
    • Yamper (Electric-type)
    • Morpeko (Electric/Dark-type)

Compared to aimlessly searching in the wild, using timed research in conjunction with power-up items to obtain High Voltage core Pokémon Morpeko is undoubtedly the most efficient method.

While the other two Pokemon are not very rare, they do appear infrequently. Therefore, if you don't already have them in your collection, High Voltage event is the best opportunity to catch them.

Besides increasing the appearance rate of specific Pokémon, completing the challenge will also reward you with Stardust, XP, or another chance to encounter Morpeko, so be sure to complete it as soon as possible.

    Happy Or Hangry Premium Research

If your budget allows, you can choose to acquire this research additionally. It consists of two parts, offering slightly different rewards, but both increase the appearance rate of Shiny versions of High Voltage exclusive Pokemon.

    Part 1:

    • Catch 5 Pokémon: Emolga encounter
    • Catch 10 Pokémon: 10 Pinap Berries
    • Catch 15 Pokémon: Dedenne encounter
    • Spin 5 PokéStops or gyms: 15 Great Balls
    • Take a snapshot of your buddy: Togedemaru encounter
    • Make 5 curveball throws: 5 Morpeko Candy
    • Rewards: Morpeko encounter, 1 Charged TM, 5,000 Stardust

    Part 2:

    • Catch 5 Pokémon: Morpeko encounter
    • Catch 10 Pokémon: 1 Magnetic Lure Module
    • Catch 15 Pokémon: Morpeko encounter
    • Spin 5 PokéStops or gyms: 2 Premium Battle Passes
    • Take a snapshot of your buddy: Morpeko encounter
    • Win a trainer battle in Go Battle League: 10 Morpeko Candy
    • Rewards: Morpeko encounter, 1 Elite Charged TM, 5,000 Stardust

    Charged Cuties Collection Challenge

This extra challenge requires you to complete the following collection tasks before the event ends. The final rewards include 2,500 XP, 2,500 Stardust, and a chance to encounter Morpeko.

    • Catch Emolga: Can be encountered by catching it in the wild or completing event research.
    • Catch Dedenne: Can be encountered by catching it in the wild, completing seasonal or event research.
    • Catch Pawmi: Catch it in the wild.
    • Catch Togedemaru: Catch it in the wild.

The above is the main information about this High Voltage event. It's worth noting that another new event, Dynamax Eevee Max Battle Weekend, will begin the day before it ends, November 21st! Don't miss it if you have time!

  • Pokemon Go Giovanni Boss Battle In November 2025 | Best Counters, Phase Breakdown, And Rewards

    Posted: Nov 06, 2025

In Pokémon Go, besides other real players, you can battle as a trainer against several bosses from the villainous Team Rocket - you can think of these as PvP and PvE gameplay, respectively. These evil PvE enemies possess formidable Pokemon abilities.

Of all Team Rocket trainers, the most dangerous is undoubtedly their leader, Giovanni. Even more troublesome is that you have to defeat him periodically, as he changes his team's main Pokémon each season to cause you trouble.

Based on this, we'll introduce Pokémon Giovanni can use in Pokemon Go November 2025 season, and the best way to deal with them.

Pokemon Go Giovanni Boss Battle In November 2025 | Best Counters, Phase Breakdown, And Rewards

    Preparation Before The Battle

If you're new to the game, you need to make sure you've completed the quest Psychic Spectacular: Taken Over and obtained Super Rocket Radar by defeating other Team Rocket bosses in it. This is how you'll have a chance to find the elusive Giovanni.

Furthermore, Giovanni and other Team Rocket trainers own Shadow variants of Pokémon, meaning they have greater combat strength and survivability.

Therefore, regardless of which Pokémon you choose for your team in battle, you must buy Pokemon Go PokeCoins in advance to redeem items that can enhance your Pokémon and increase your chances of victory in boss battles.

Based on this, we recommend prioritizing Mega Evolutions and Shadow Pokemon. If you don't have them, quickly invite your friends to catch some together!

Which Pokémon Does Giovanni Send Out?

First, although Pokémon appearing in Giovanni encounters may vary depending on the season, the entire battle is always divided into three phases. Pokémon appearing in the first and third phases are fixed, while the second phase features a random Pokémon.

Pokémon available for Giovanni in Pokemon Go in November, along with their attributes and weaknesses, are as follows:

    • Phase 1: Shadow Persian (Normal) - Fighting
    • Phase 2 (Alternative 1): Shadow Rhyperior (Ground/Rock) - Ground, Water, Ice, Steel, Grass, Fighting
    • Phase 2 (Alternative 2): Shadow Nidoking (Poison/Ground) - Ground, Ice, Water, Psychic
    • Phase 2 (Alternative 3): Shadow Kangaskhan (Normal) - Fighting
    • Phase 3: Incarnate Forme Tornadus (Flying) - Electric, Ice, Rock

    How To Defeat Giovanni?

You should choose different Pokémon to battle based on the characteristics of Pokémon Giovanni has at each stage. Phase 2 is more complex because you need to consider three possibilities simultaneously.

    Phase 1

In this phase, Giovanni sends out Shadow Persian. Your Pokemon choices include Machamp, Lucario, Heracross, etc. - basically, any Fighting-type Pokémon will be a safe bet.

    Phase 2

If the opponent's Pokémon is Shadow Rhyperior, although many types are super effective against it, it's recommended to prioritize Grass-type Pokémon, such as Decidueye or Venusaur.

To deal with Shadow Nidoking, the following Pokémon are quite effective:

    • Kyogre
    • Primarina
    • Kartana
    • Rillaboom
    • Groudon
    • Garchomp

As for Giovanni's third alternative Pokemon in Phase 2, Shadow Kangaskhan, you can choose Fighting Pokémon that performed well in Phase 1. So, if you're lucky enough to encounter this opponent, you'll save more time and effort.

    Phase 3

Incarnate Forme Tornadus is the newest legendary Pokémon to receive Shadow Treatment in the game, and also the most dangerous Pokémon in this boss battle. Using the following Pokémon will increase your chances of defeating it:

    • Mamoswine
    • Galarian Darmanitan
    • Zekrom
    • Electivire

Note that besides Pokemon battles, Giovanni himself will use a shield to block your first two charged attacks. Therefore, at the start of Phase 1, you need to ensure your Fighting Pokémon has a charged attack to quickly break the boss's shield.

    Optimal Team Composition

Although there are many Pokémon to choose from, you can only bring three to form a team. Therefore, considering all phases, we recommend Zekrom, Swampert, and Lucario as your team members.

Lucario's Fighting attribute allows it to successfully complete Phase 1, and if Phase 2 boss sends out Kangaskhan, Lucario can also handle it.

If you're unlucky enough to encounter Nidoking or Rhyperior in Phase 2, don't worry, you still have Swampert, which is super effective against Ground type, and this is one of the weaknesses of the other two Phase 2 enemy Pokemon.

As for Phase 3, you'll witness a thrilling battle between two Legendary Pokémon. More importantly, Zekrom's Electric type perfectly counters Tornadus, making victory a breeze.

What Rewards Do You Get For Completing The Boss Battle?

After completing all three phases to defeat this season's Giovanni, the most important reward is that you can recruit Incarnate Forme Tornadus, making this powerful new Pokémon work for you!

In addition, you'll receive 5,000 Stardust and three item bundles. Opening these bundles may yield the following items:

    • 4x Revive
    • 4x Max Revive
    • 4x Hyper Potion
    • 4x Max Potion
    • 1x Unova Stone

If you fail in your first boss battle this month due to misjudgment or other reasons, don't be discouraged. You can continue challenging him without consuming any items until you win.

However, after winning once, your Super Rocket Radar will disappear from your inventory. After that, if you want to experience battling Giovanni again, you may need to complete the prerequisite quests again.

That's all for this introduction. However, Giovanni's Pokemon team will continue to change with each season update, so don't forget to stay updated and adjust your team accordingly after November!

  • Pokemon Go: What About The Upcoming Grow Together Ticket During Shared Skies Season?

    Posted: Jul 16, 2024

Recently, Pokemon GO announced a new ticket, Grow Together Ticket, for the remainder of Shared Skies Season. Pokemon GO trainers who obtain the ticket will receive select rewards and can participate in additional Timed Research tasks, which unlock a ton of items and a chance to encounter new Pokemon.

Although Pokemon GO is free to play, some players are concerned about Niantic promoting microtransactions in the game more frequently. While avoiding spending more Pokemon Go PokeCoins on the in-game store or season pass tickets is a perfectly valid way to play the game for free, this approach does exclude free-to-play players from many additional opportunities.

Pokemon GO’s Shared Skies Season began back on June 1 and has already launched various events for players, including the recent Pokemon GO Fest.

Now, the game has launched Grow Together Ticket. The ticket will go on sale on July 17 for $4.99 (or “equivalent pricing tier” in other regions). Tickets are valid from the date of acquisition until 10 a.m. local time on September 3.

Players who acquire the ticket through Pokemon GO online store will also receive two Lucky Eggs as an additional reward. While players must complete research by September, the ticket will only be available until 7:59 p.m. local time on August 1, 2024.

    Features

For as long as players have the ticket, their first PokeStop spin each day will provide 5 times the normal amount of XP throughout the season. The ticket will also grant access to a number of Premium Timed Research Tasks, which unlock encounters with Galarian Farfetch’d, Feebas, Swirlix, and Pokemon GO newcomer Tandemaus.

Additionally, players will earn some new rewards through Timed Research, including 2 Lucky Eggs, 9 Rare Candies, 2 Star Pieces, and 2 Incense. However, until now, developer Niantic has not announced Timed Research tasks. This may be announced at the latest after the ticket sales start.

Pokemon GO players can get Grow Together Ticket in Shared Skies Season for themselves or other trainers. But in order to give it to another player, the friendship level of the two players must reach Great Friends or higher. It is worth noting that the tickets are non-refundable, whether for your own account or for a friend.

Since there are currently special rewards available through Party Play in Pokemon GO, now is definitely a good time for players to go out and play with friends. So let’s join in!
