Panic passes will only increase the pressure. Instead, you need to do the opposite and control the chaos by slowing down the pace. Use a simple left-wing dribble to dodge the oncoming player. This way, even a slight change of angle can shift the pressure and open up a safer route.

If you have no other choice, don’t force the break, just use your body to protect the ball and wait for support to arrive.

There is one thing that almost no one does when under pressure: dribbling, but it is the key to avoid being passive. Dribbling can attract the opponent’s defenders, force them to move, and create time for your teammates to break through.

But when the pressure becomes unbearable, don’t panic, pass the ball back to your center back or goalkeeper in time. Remember, your opponent is chasing the ball, and you can use this against them. In simple terms, you need to move the ball left and right until the pressure decreases, then break through.

2. Seize The Opportunity To Pressure Your Opponent

In reality, the aggressiveness of your opponents can be attributed to a combination of tactics and game mechanics, whether it’s defending high, full-team pressing, or aggressive player switching that makes you feel constantly under pressure.
