Shop

Be sure to check the shop frequently, as the items are updated with each level. You can use the search function to find the keyword affixes you need. For weapons, focus on affixes that increase elemental and physical damage. For armor, focus on affixes that increase health, followed by armor, evasion, and energy shield. Movement speed affixes are also very important, but they typically only appear on boots.

Farming Currency

Mawdun Quarry area in Act 2 is a great place to farm Armorer's Scrap and Blacksmith's Whetstone early on. These upgrade your weapons and armor, and you can create new instances to farm them repeatedly.

Crafting Your Own Gear

Every player will eventually learn to craft their own gear in PoE 2, so don't worry about wasting your currency. Start by collecting some common gear (white) with decent affixes.
