News Tag: Diablo 4 Unique Items

Every season brings a few new unique items, and Season 10 is no exception. Last season's new unique items significantly boosted Sorcerer and Spiritborn. The Ophidian Iris was arguably the best unique item ever designed.

So what about Season 10's unique items? Will they deliver the same crazy boosts to a particular build as they did in Season 9? That depends on their specific effects.

Barbarian: Sabre Of Tsasgal (Unique One-Hand Sword)

• Inherent: +50% Damage
• +107-121 Strength
• +62.5-85% Physical Damage
• +2-3 Core Skill Ranks
• +2-3 Warpath

Unique Effect: Each damaging skill you equip increases your damage by 3-5% [x], and each time you use a skill, your damage is increased by an additional 6-10% [x] for 15 seconds.

This unique item is clearly a general-purpose item. These unique items can provide a significant damage boost, increasing with more damaging skills. However, Barbarian's many Shout skills provide a significant buff, and without giving up Shout skills, this weapon can provide a maximum damage boost of 15-20% [x].

Druid: Kilt Of Blackwing (Unique Pants)

• +636-685 Maximum Life
• +2-3 Ranks to Ravens
• +13-17.5% Raven Cooldown Reduction
• +16-25% Chance for Ravens to Deal Double Damage

Unique Effect: Ravens deal 60-100% increased damage [x] and can transform into other forms or activate a companion skill, summoning ravens to attack nearby enemies. Summoning ravens has a chance to inflict Unkindness for 10 seconds, increasing the number of summoned ravens to 3 for the duration.

This unique item primarily enhances Druid's Ravens skill and increases the number of Ravens. Ravens can also summon wild wolves to attack enemies. This unique item shares many similarities with Ophidian Iris, allowing you to become a Druid summoner.

Necromancer: Gospel Of The Devotee (Unique Focus)

• +80-94 Intelligence
• +424-457 Maximum Life
• +4.4-10% Basic Skill Attack Speed
• +13-17.5% Chance for Basic Skills to Deal Double Damage

Unique Effect: Your basic skills are empowered. When you damage an enemy with a basic skill, the damage dealt by your other basic skills against them is increased by 10-30% [x] for 10 seconds.

• Reap attack speed increased by 10%.
• Decompose now creates a corpse every 0.5 seconds.
• Hemorrhage triggers an additional burst on the initial target.
• Bone Splinters will pierce enemies.

This unique weapon primarily enhances Necromancer's basic skills: Decompose, Reap, Hemorrhage, and Bone Splinters. Necromancer builds centered on basic skills aren't exactly mainstream. While Reap Necromancer build might be considered one, the attack speed boost alone isn't a significant improvement. You'll also need more Diablo 4 items that increase critical hit chance to make it perform well in the endgame.

Rogue: Orphan Maker (Unique Two-Handed Crossbow)

• Inherent: +130% Vulnerable Damage
• +4-6 Ranks to Marksman Skills
• +2-4 Ranks to Exploit
• +32-45% Chance for Marksman Skills to Cast Twice
• +125-170% Vulnerable Damage

Unique Effect: Using this weapon's Basic and Core Skills now allows recharging. Recharge skills now deal 250-300% more damage, and this bonus is doubled every two recharges.

PS: Skills with recharges incur a slight delay, preventing them from being recast. Its damage and reload speed are increased by 50% of your attack speed.

This unique item significantly strengthens Rogues, as Barrage, Rapid Fire, and Penetrating Shot are already powerful core abilities. This unique item increases their damage by up to 300%, making them particularly effective against bosses.

Sorcerer: Galvanic Azurite (Unique Ring)

• Inherent: 12.5% Resistance to All Elements
• Inherent: 5% Resistance to All Elements
• +5.2-6% Critical Strike Chance
• +57-75% Lightning damage
• 8.1-8.8% Cooldown reduction
• +2-3 Ranks to Elemental Synergies

Unique Effect: Lightning damage magnetizes enemies for 4 seconds, causing them to release explosive energy and increasing all Lightning damage you deal by 40-60% [x]. If two magnetized enemies collide with Burst Energy, they will be pulled towards each other.

This unique item further strengthens Lightning Sorcerer build and adds some crowd control. This item will increase the speed at which Sorcerer can farm Diablo 4 gold pairs in the endgame. Chain Lightning Sorcerer build reached Tier A in Season 9 and it may be reach Tier S in Season 10.

Spiritborn: Hesha E Kesungi (Unique Gloves)

• 10.5-15% Attack Speed
• 46.5-60% Vulnerable Damage
• 15.5-20% Ultimate Cooldown Reduction
• 3-5 Gorilla Skill Ranks

Unique Effect: A guardian summoned from a distance, whose heavy attack pulls enemies inward. Enemies within range receive 30-50% increased damage from your Gorilla skills, with double damage for knocked-down enemies or when targeting a boss.

This new unique item provides a significant damage multiplier for Spiritborn's Gorilla ability. While Gorilla's unique ability is known for its barrier-generating properties, it lacks damage compared to other abilities. This unique item addresses this shortcoming, especially against bosses, where it can even double Spiritborn's damage, creating a high-damage, high-survivability Spiritborn. This Gorilla Spiritborn build could potentially reach Tier A or even Tier S in Season 10.

Diablo 4 Season 10's unique items offer significant benefits to all classes, and some of these new unique items have the potential to rival Ophidian Iris from Season 9. Furthermore, their unique effects can be applied to Chaos Armor in Season 10. Combining them with other unique items and mythic items could be extremely effective, but this could also introduce unexpected bugs. How they perform remains to be seen through player testing on the PTR.

In Season 8 of Diablo 4, a ton of items will be added to the game. The good news is that boss summoning items are being removed in Season 8, making your backpack a lot cleaner.

In Season 8, each class will have a new unique item and a new Legendary Aspect. This will definitely have an impact on the performance of each build. Let’s take a look at what items are added to each class.

Barbarian

Ancestral Unique Gloves: Bane Of Ahjad-Den

• [8.0 - 12.5]% Cooldown Reduction
• + [4 - 6] to Mighty Throw
• + [114.0 - 150.0]% Critical Strike Damage
• + [7 - 10] Fury per Second

Every 12 seconds, your next Mighty Throw will immediately detonate a pulse, dealing Fire damage, and dealing [400.0 - 600.0]% [x] bonus damage.

Aspect Of Delayed Extinction

Allowed Item Types:

• 1H Weapon
• 2H Weapon (Power increased by 100%)
• Gloves
• Amulet (Power increased by 50%)
• Ring

Mighty Throw and Steel Grasp now gain multiplicative damage from Cooldown Reduction instead of Cooldown, and their damage is increased by an additional [125 - 250]% [x].

Mighty Throw Barbarian was great in Season 7 due to its high damage, but the best endgame build was HotA Earthquake Barbarian. With these buffs, Mighty Throw Barbarian may become the best endgame build.

Druid

Ancestral Unique Helm: Gathlen’s Birthright

• +128 Armor
• Anima of the Forest grants 15% attack speed
• + [10.5 - 15.0]% Willpower
• + [2 - 3to] Humanity
• + [224 - 296] Armor
• + [17.5 - 23.0]% Movement Speed in Human Form

While in Human Form, critically hitting an enemy with Nature Magic [400 - 200] times grants you Anima of the Forest for 10 seconds. After infusing Anima of the Forest, you will gain Perfect Storm and Earthen Might key passives.

Aspect Of Impending Deluge

Allowed Item Types:

• 1H Weapon
• 2H Weapon (Power increased by 100%)
• Gloves
• Amulet (Power increased by 50%)
• Ring

Storm Strike’s damage is increased by 50% [x], and the target takes [20 - 40]% [x] more damage from other spells for 6 seconds.

Druids are already very strong in the game, and this buff to Storm Strike makes them more efficient at farming Diablo 4 Gold and clearing dungeons in season 8.

Necromancer

Ancestral Unique Two-Handed Sword: Sanguivor, Blade Of Zir

• 496 Damage Per Second
• [397 - 595] Damage per Hit
• 1.00 Attacks per Second (Slow)
• +60.0% Skeleton Mage Damage
• +60.0% Golem Damage
• + [160 - 188] Intelligence
• + [1,222 - 1,316] Maximum Life
• +2 to Skeletal Warrior Mastery, Golem Mastery and Skeletal Mage Mastery
• + [32.0 - 50.0]% Chance for Army of the Dead to Deal Double Damage

Damage dealt by your summons causes enemies to be affected by Vampiric Curse. Consuming corpses also contributes a soul to Vampiric Curse, which can now stack up to 20 souls.

Army of the Dead can now release Vampiric Curse souls, increasing the damage done by Army of the Dead and souls by [5.0 - 10.0]% [x] per soul released.

Aspect Of Service and Sacrifice

Allowed Item Types:

• Amulet (Power increased by 50%)
• 1H Weapon
• 2H Weapon (Power increased by 100%)
• Gloves
• Ring

Skeleton Warriors explode upon death, dealing [150 - 300] physical damage to nearby enemies. They lose 25% of their health per second in combat. Skeleton Mages take 90% less damage and deal [50.0 - 100.0]% [x] more damage.

Summoning-dependent Necromancers are able to perform well in leveling up and farming gold, but their performance in the endgame is average, not as good as Blood Wave Necromancers, and this may not change in Season 8.

Rogue

Ancestral Unique Gloves: Bands Of Ichorous Rose

• 64 Armor
• +4 Maximum Poison Traps
• + [18.5 - 27.5]% Poison Trap triggers twice
• + [10.5 - 15.0]% Attack Speed
• + [3.0 - 5.0]% Maximum Poison Resistance
• + [41.5 - 55.0]% Poison Resistance

Poison Traps always deal full damage over 3 seconds, and benefit from all upgrades, increasing damage by [50.0 - 100.0]% [x].

Poison Trap also:

• Benefits from Combo Points
• Has no Cooldown during Inner Sight
• Cooldown is reduced by Preparation

Aspect Of Contamination

Allowed Item Types:

• Amulet (Power increased by 50%)
• 1H Weapon
• 2H Weapon (Power increased by 100%)
• Gloves
• Ring

When triggered, Poison Trap explodes, dealing [225 - 375] Poison damage. If this explosion is a critical hit, you deal [20 - 40]% [x] Poison damage for 5 seconds.

Poison Trap is not a mainstream skill in Rogue and has little impact on Rogue builds. Perhaps it can be slightly enhanced for Death Trap Rogue builds.

Sorcerer

Ancestral Unique Helm: Hail Of Verglas

• 128 Armor
• +7.5% Maximum Cold Resistance
• +50.0% Cold Resistance
• + [4 - 6] to Ice Shards
• + [10.5 - 15.0]% Intelligence
• + [10.5 - 15.0]% Attack Speed
• [13.0 - 17.5]% Maximum Life

Ice Shards now spread 2 additional shards. Each time Ice Shards damage an enemy, the damage dealt is increased by [1.0 - 1.5]% [x] over 5 seconds, up to a maximum of [50.0 - 75.0]% [x].

Shivering Aspect

Allowed Item Types:

• 1H Weapon
• 2H Weapon (Power increased by 100%)
• Gloves
• Amulet (Power increased by 50%)
• Ring

Depending on how Frozen or Stunned the enemy is, they take up to [20 - 40]% [x] more damage. The Chill you apply is increased by 15%.

Ice Sorcerer underperformed in Season 7 and was abandoned by players. The best Sorcerer builds focused on Lightning and Fire builds. This buff may help Ice Sorcerer perform a little better in the endgame.

Spiritborn

Ancestral Unique Amulet: Sunbird’s Gorget

• + [16.0 - 25.0]% Movement Speed
• + [2 - 3] to Acceleration
• + [2 - 3] to Furnace
• + [2 - 3] to Potent

Pick up a Storm Feather to create a Firestorm around you that lasts for 8 seconds, dealing [225 - 450] Fire damage every 0.5 seconds. For every 5 additional Storm Feathers you pick up, Firestorm grows stronger, increasing its damage by 100% [x], but does not refresh its duration. Firestorm counts as an Eagle, Jaguar, and Storm Feather Skill.

Rip And Tear Aspect

Allowed Item Types:

• 1H Weapon
• 2H Weapon (Power increased by 100%)
• Gloves
• Amulet (Power increased by 50%)
• Ring

Rushing Claw deals [10 - 30]% [x] more damage, and is enhanced based on the number of charges you have when you cast it:

• 1. Restores 15% of your maximum health.
• 2. Guaranteed suppression.
• 3. Guaranteed critical hit.
• 4. Attacks once more.

Spiritborn is a very strong class, and performs well in leveling up, farming gold and completing quests. This unique item is undoubtedly another big boost for Spiritborn.

The above are the new unique items and Aspects of Season 8. They may have an impact on the next season, but the overall impact is not significant. They just provide players with more choices.

After the release of Diablo 4, many players began to look for Ultra-Rare Unique Items they wanted in the game. Especially in the first two weeks of the game's release, this phenomenon is very common, but almost no one finds these items throughout the game, such as Grandfather and Harlequin Crest, these are classic Diablo 4 items.

Blizzard's Response

So this has caused many players to suspect whether these items have been put into the game.Later, some people responded to this suspicion. Their game character level was around 100, and they found the rare Harlequin Crest in the game, which sparked a bigger debate. Do these items exist in the game? When and where will it drop? What is their drop rate? What are these Ultra-Rare Unique Items? Blizzard has stepped in to answer these questions. It turns out that there are actually 6 Uniques in Diablo 4 game.

Lead Class Designer Adam Jackson, addressed these issues on Twitter:

These Diablo 4 Items will drop from enemies above level 85 in the game, so if you want to get these Uniques, you need to find them. You don't have to be level 85 yourself, it's possible to get them just by defeating level 85 enemies, and you can theoretically find them from mid-level Nightmare dungeons.

There are a total of 6 of these Uniques, and drop location is not fixed, so it does not come from a specific Boss or location. Whether you can get these Uniques also depends on the player's own luck.

Uniques List

1. Melted Heart of Selig (Amulet) - Gain 30% Maximum Resource and when you take damage, drain (8 - 3) Resource for every 1% of Life you would have lost instead.

2. Andariel’s Visage (Helm) - Lucky Hit: Has (15 - 20%) chance to trigger a Poison Nova that deals 10,077 Poison damage to enemies in the area over 5 seconds (plus 1.3 - 2% lifesteal )

3. Harlequin Crest (Helm) - Gain (10 - 20)% Damage Reduction and + 4 to all Skills

4. The Grandfather (Two handed sword) - Achieve Critical Strike Damage increase (60 - 100%)

5. Ring of Starless Skies (Ring) - Each consecutive Core skill cast reduces Resource cost of your net Core skill by (8 - 12%) up to a maximum of 40%

6. Doombringer (One handed sword) - Lucky Hit: Up to a (15 - 25%) chance to deal 5,822 Shadow damage to surrounding enemies and reduce their damage by 20% for 5 seconds.

All of Uniques listed above increase the stats of the corresponding item.

Player Concerns About Drop Rates

But here comes the problem, even if the player level of Diablo 4 is higher and the characters are more powerful, the number of these items is too rare. Diablo 4 has millions of players, but only a handful of players have discovered these items.

This makes many players feel unwilling, thinking that this is a guise of Uniques. Players have paid a lot to find Uniques but have not received anything in return. They think that even if their 10 characters have reached level 100, they may not be able to find these Uniques.

Considering the total number of Uniques, frankly speaking, many players are not clear about the power brought by the current Uniques. And whether you can get Uniques also depends on the player's luck, which will also make some players feel uncomfortable. Some players think that the drop rate of Uniques in Diablo 4 is too low.

Hey Diablo friends here, today I'm going to show you how to farm specific unique items.

Now in my case I will use Druid as an example. Now if you're like me and probably most Druids in the game, you might have found yourself in a situation like this. Where you're finding lots of Barbarian weapons, now let's just get this out of the way.

Why Is It Hard To Find

Loot table on Druid is currently bugged, you are sharing the weapon loot table with Barbarian, so the chances of finding Crone Staff significantly decrease. Because all these other items can drop at the same time.

But we still can increase those odds, now the best way to find Diablo 4 Unique items are from the rewards from Nightmare Dungeons. That's the best way to find these items.

Something You Need To Know

What you need to know is that, different monsters in the game have a higher chance of dropping certain items. So for example if we're hunting Crone Staff, I can tell you that Goatmen have a significantly higher chance of dropping two-handed staves.

Loot works is when an item drops, it has a chance of upgrading to the next tier. Now there are four Dungeons that I've found that have Goatmen in them, but only one of them is a Nightmare Dungeon. And it's really easy to find on the map, you just gotta look for this empty circle and go up, and this is it here Champions Demise. So you're going to have to farm Nightmare sigil keys to be able to do this Dungeon over and over again, because you want that awesome reward at the end.

Little Tip For You

Here's a little tip if you just want to farm normal Dungeons with Goatmen in them. At the end of it you want to use your emote key and press leave Dungeon. Teleport to town sell your gear to get Diablo 4 Gold, and by the time you go back through that Teleport, Dungeon will be reset so you've got to leave Dungeon first.

How To Find Tempest Roar

Now let's talk about Tempest Roar. Well what I can tell you is that, Cultists have a significantly higher chance of dropping helms. Once again there are several Dungeons in the game that have Cultists in them, but if you're looking for the Nightmare Dungeon, remember to get that reward at the end.

We've got this Dungeon here very conveniently named Cultist Refuge. Now what's cool about Cultists is that, they have a higher chance of dropping daggers and helms. Now daggers are used on the road, so they do not drop as frequently on Druid.

In other words, if you're really trying to find Tempest Roar,Cultist Refuge is going to be phenomenal for you to be able to find it. If you're going to be farming these items, it's going to be significantly quicker if you can play in a group. Now you do not have to worry about the item dropping and you not being there to pick it up.

If for some reason it drops for your friend on the other side of the map, it'll actually get put as a little notification, the next time you go back to your stash, it'll pick the item up for you and you can grab it that way.

Now what I'm going to do is leave a list of all the monsters and the items, that they are more likely to drop in a comment pinned at the bottom.

Last Tip Of Technique

I'm going to leave you with one last tip though, if you're like me, I'm currently trying to find a better base yellow helmet for my character, we can use this technique for yellow items as well. So in this particular case I'd need to be farming Cultists. You will actually see, how many more yellow items you will get of a specific type in your inventory, when you're selling your gear.

You'll have like twice as many helms just by doing this technique. So if you're looking for base yellow items you want to apply this as well. One last thing, if you spend the whole day farming these Dungeons, and you still do not find this item, keep in mind that the item is still very very rare. I will find maybe three Uniques in an entire session. It's still pretty difficult, but your odds are going to go up.
