    Diablo 4 development team claimed they would surprise players at 2025 TGA, and they truly delivered. They not only announced the next DLC, Lord of Hatred, at TGA, but also introduced a new class for Season 11: Paladin.

    Each DLC release brings significant changes to Diablo 4's gameplay. The official information regarding Lord of Hatred will be revealed gradually over the next few months, but let's first take a look at what this expansion pack brings.

    Story Recap

    Looking at the content of the past few seasons, the war between angels and demons in Sanctuary has intensified. The root of all this lies with Lilith and Inarius, the creators of Sanctuary, and each harbors a twisted plan.

    Lilith's goal extends beyond granting power to humans, and her true intention is to devour her own father, Mephisto, Lord of Hatred, to seize his power. At the time, Mephisto was being reborn in Hell, weakened. The key to thwarting Lilith's plot is a wanderer who has drunk demon blood - the player-controlled protagonist.

    Mephisto, too, has his own schemes. He sends his messenger to help Wanderer stop Lilith. Although the team tries to avoid making a deal with the devil, they are ultimately forced to accept.

    Wanderer ultimately defeats Lilith, and Neyrelle, a member of the team, decides to seize the opportunity to bury Lord of Hatred completely. However, acting alone, she is quickly corrupted by Mephisto's corruption. Fortunately, Wanderer finds her and helps her resist the corruption.

    Together, they find Tomb of Akara, the final resting place of the holy prophet. This was originally a prison from which Mephisto might never escape. Although Wanderer defeats Mephisto's messenger, Mephisto himself escapes and enters a new vessel - the body of the prophet Akarat (Vessel of Hatred storyline).

    Thus, Lord of Hatred walks the lands of Sanctuary as the false prophet, and the upcoming storyline will culminate in Lord of Hatred DLC.

    Confirmed Content

    Lord of Hatred expansion introduces the new Paladin class, whose skill tree offers three enhancements to each skill, potentially indicating the direction for skill reworks in other classes. The official announcement also confirms that the expansion includes two new classes, with the next class to be released in April along with the expansion pack.

    New Area

    Diablo 4 New Area Skovos Isles

    A new two-minute trailer has been released, showcasing some of the updated content. The expansion will also add a new area called Skovos Isles and a new campaign. This new area is Lilith and Inarius, the birthplace of human civilization.

    This area was originally planned for Diablo III, but due to its art style being somewhat similar to Titan Quest, the decision was shelved. However, the development team has revived this area in Diablo IV.

    Skovos Isles are currently ruled by a prophet and an Amazon Queen. If the new class in the DLC is related to this region, it might be a class like Hunter or Amazon.

    New Features

    The highly requested Horadric Cube will return in Lord of Hatred. First appearing in Diablo 2, it has many uses, including crafting equipment and resetting item affixes. While its role in Diablo 4 is currently unknown, it will likely be integrated with the current crafting system.

    Additionally, the developers have confirmed the addition of loot filters to help players more efficiently locate target equipment from the massive loot drops, complementing the crafting system and collecting common quality base items.

    Another new mode is being added called Echoing Hatred. This is likely a bullet hell endless mode, possibly inspired by Echoing Nightmares in Diablo 3.     The official release in Season 11 significantly buffed Barbarian's core skills, Paragon Legendary nodes, and primary stat scaling.     Companion Druid Build

    It relies on corpses, requiring corpse explosions, Soulrift, and Blight casts to trigger Shadow Blight effect. While the controls are somewhat cumbersome, the high damage makes survivability less of a concern in The Pit.

    Golem Necromancer

    Golem Necromancer received approximately a 60% damage buff compared to the PTR, and is expected to stack an additional 6 layers in The Pit. It doesn't rely on corpses, and Golem's casting provides an Unstoppable state, combining single-target and AoE damage for a more comfortable gameplay experience. However, its biggest drawback is survivability, so you'll need to be careful to dodge monster and bosses' skills.

    If you prioritize stability, high damage, and high survivability, choose Shadow Blight Necromancer. If you want to challenge yourself with extreme damage, try new playstyles, and accept a fragile build, choose Golem Necromancer. These two are likely the highest-ranked Necromancer builds on The Pit and Towers leaderboards.

    While classic Necromancer builds remain reliable, we highly recommend trying newer builds like Golem Necromancer and Affliction Necromancer. They're perfect for early-game leveling and endgame play, respectively, offering a fresh experience.

    Evade Spiritborn Gameplay And Advantages

    The core mechanics of Evade Spiritborn build revolve around Eagle Hall ability. Your skill tree should primarily focus on enhancing various damage multipliers. Use Evade to trigger Accelerated Thunderspike effect, unleashing a barrage of feathers at monsters for massive damage.

    Evade Spiritborn build has been a Tier S leveling build for several consecutive seasons. It boasts extremely fast movement speed and monster-clearing efficiency, and its gameplay is very simple, and you just need to keep using Evade, and the flying feathers will automatically clear the monsters on the screen.

    Impact Of Season 11

    A bug in PTR 2.5.0 allowed gear like Loyalty's Mantle to provide double damage bonuses with Eagle Hall, resulting in excessively high damage. If this bug had been fixed, the reachable level in The Pit would have decreased by 10 levels (about level 100). This bug has been fixed in the official patch.

    Evade Spiritborn skill build is relatively flexible, and the overall strength is not significantly affected. Even if you don't have enough skill points, it won't affect your damage much, because skills like Thunderspike and Crushing Hand are mainly used to trigger effects.

    Starting with the seasonal quests, unlock the reputation board on Normal difficulty, then equip your pet. Once you reach level 15, switch to Hard difficulty and use Crushing Hand to farm Helltide. Then farm Helltide until the first hour ends, and your character should be around level 30-35.

    Then, run Vessel of Hatred Campaign on Normal difficulty until you unlock Kurast Undercity and obtain Runes Cache. Last, depending on your character's strength, continue farming Helltide on Expert or Penitent difficulty until you reach level 50. After that, clear Strongholds on Normal difficulty.

    The Unusual Reason

    Official releases are rarely on Thursdays, and they typically release new seasons on Tuesdays. Furthermore, 8:30 PM EST is an unfavorable time for players worldwide, as it's close to midnight or nighttime in most regions.

    This time also means that Diablo IV development team and engineers will probably need to work through the night to ensure a smooth season launch, resulting in additional overtime costs.

    Furthermore, Diablo 4's official season updates deliberately avoid clashing with the seasons and leagues of other popular ARPGs.

    This timing puts Season 11 very close to the release of its main competitor, Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.4.0. Patch 0.4.0 will be released on December 12th, bringing the new Druid class to Path of Exile series.

    The new unique item, Gravebloom, is a new unique mace. It allows you to summon multiple golems. While the damage of a single golem is reduced, the increased number of golems boosts overall damage. It's also an essential Diablo 4 item for this build; the build won't function properly without it.

    Gravebloom provides a total of 40% attack speed, which is incredibly high for a one-handed weapon. It also has a 75% chance for the golem to attack twice.

    Golem Necromancer Skills

    Active Skills

    • Blight: Provides a buff as a Darkness Skill; no active casting required.
    • Sever: Also a Darkness Skill that triggers a damage bonus; no active casting required.
    • Golem: Summons a golem; you need to cast it to allow the golem to use its active skill.
    • Reap: Used to spawn a corpse.
    • Soulrift: As an ultimate skill, provides a vulnerability debuff and Essence.
    • Decompose: When fighting bosses, if Reap goes on cooldown, you can hold down Decompose to wait for Golem skill to cool down.
    • Iron Maiden: Increases damage taken by enemies. Does not need to be placed on the skill bar.
    • Decrepify: Curses enemies, slowing them. Does not need to be placed on the skill bar.

    Golem Necro Advantages In Season 11

    Overall game difficulty has increased, and character survivability and damage have been reduced. Percentage bonuses to main stats (such as Intelligence) have been removed. In this generally harder environment, Golem Necromancer build offers excellent tankiness and damage, with no survivability issues.

    In Tormented 4's Open World, the golem's auto-attacks are sufficient for most situations, allowing players to AFK. However, at higher levels of The Pit, you must actively control your Golems. They can face-tank and deal damage in most situations, and even solo new bosses.

    You don't need to create a Seasonal Character to experience this build, as all new gear drops in Eternal Realm, and the additional bonuses from Season Journey offer little benefit to this already established build.

    Golem Necromancer build may still have some room for improvement, but it surpasses almost every other necromancer summoning build in every aspect. Moreover, the golem's damage can reach over 1 billion, and combined with its tanking capabilities, it is enough to place it in the Tier S build category of Season 11.
