  • CoD BO7 Scout Combat Specialty Overpowered Analysis: Has It Really Broken Game Balance?

    Posted: Dec 03, 2025

Recently, Scout Combat Specialty in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has sparked heated discussion, with many players believing it's currently too powerful. Here, we'd like to share our personal opinions and explain this specialty in detail. Let's get straight to the point.

    How Does It Work?

First, let's start with the basics and mechanics. Scout Combat Specialty requires a combination of the red (Offense) perk and the blue (Stealth) perk; its description is a combination of offense and stealth. When you kill an enemy with a bullet, you will completely disappear from the enemy mini-map for 5 seconds. Killing another enemy during this time resets the timer.

It's actually quite simple. Even if you're using an unsuppressed weapon, once you kill an enemy, for the next 5 seconds, even if you continue firing with that unsuppressed gun, you will completely disappear from the enemy mini-map.

In most cases, this seems perfectly fine, and it's not particularly powerful. This is because it theoretically only works when the enemy doesn't have reconnaissance aircraft like UAVs; you can equip your gun with a suppressor to hide your position on radar.

However, if there are UAVs in the air, you can use Ghost Perk, which allows you to remain radar-invisible except in specific areas. This is one of the reasons why Scout Combat Specialty is controversial.

CoD BO7 Scout Combat Specialty Overpowered Analysis: Has It Really Broken Game Balance?

Does Scout Completely Suppress H.A.R.P. Scorestreak?

It's worth noting that Scout, when activated, can completely suppress H.A.R.P. Scorestreak.

Specifically, if you have Ghost Perk activated, and an enemy uses H.A.R.P. Scorestreak, it won't appear as a real-time directional arrow on the minimap; instead, it will appear as a frequently updating dot. In other words, even with Ghost activated, the enemy can still see them on the minimap.

This is quite normal in Call of Duty games for Scorestreaks like H.A.R.P. or SR-71 Blackbird. However, what's unusual is that if enemies have both Scout Combat Specialty and Ghost Perk activated, yet they don't appear on the minimap at all, it simply won't work.

Is The Existence Of Scout Justified?

We believe opinions on the validity of this question will obviously vary depending on how frequently H.A.R.P. is used.

This is completely understandable, because at least in my opinion, Scorestreaks have always been sacrosanct in Black Ops series. Its key feature, and the reason it's more expensive than UAVs, is that it guarantees you can see all enemies on the minimap, which always allows you to easily control the battle.

Now, Scout Combat Specialty completely prevents you from seeing enemies, meaning that even if you activate H.A.R.P. Scorestreak, you can no longer be completely certain you can see all enemies; there will always be some doubt in your mind.

Therefore, I believe the key reason Scout is so controversial is that its design largely contradicts the original intent of high-tier scorestreaks. Not to mention it's the third most expensive scorestreak in the entire BO7 series, and I believe most players wouldn't want to waste their money on a questionable mechanic.

Initially, the only way to counter H.A.R.P. was to call them in games with counter UAVs or EMPs. However, in recent years, they've started allowing players to directly shoot down HARP.

Over time, the difficulty of H.A.R.P. has been gradually reduced, but most players aren't even entirely opposed to this approach, because as long as it's not too easy to shoot down, it's acceptable for the enemy to at least have the potential to shoot it down. This is fair, because players should always have some way to counter high-difficulty scorestreaks, not just sweep everything away in CoD Black Ops 7 bot lobbies. Otherwise, you're just cannon fodder.

That said, this doesn't mean that Scout Combat Specialty completely hiding your location is supported by players. As we mentioned before, this completely contradicts the meaning of H.A.R.P.

When using H.A.R.P., you'll feel a mix of doubt and false confidence, believing you have the location of all enemies, given you've summoned the third-highest number of streaks in the game. However, due to Scout's presence, you don't actually know the location of every single enemy. This false confidence often leads to your demise.

Some players argue that Scout itself isn't deadly; it can't directly kill enemies because you still need to eliminate them yourself. It simply allows you to confidently face anything because you know you can see all enemies on the minimap.

If enemies try to shoot down your Scout, or if they happen to have a counter-UAV ready, that's okay too; you still have countermeasures and can take some action. They consider this a fair and reasonable balance. Moreover, this state only lasts for 5 seconds after a kill, and to completely suppress H.A.R.P., you must continuously kill enemies. This is undesirable in the perilous Zombie Mode.

    Scout Bug

However, Scout Combat Specialty does seem to have some bugs, which is likely the main reason why many people frequently encounter this problem and have begun to hate it so much.

Many players have noticed that they are holding H.A.R.P. and are killed by players using Scout, but when they review the game replay and check the kill information, they find that the player did not kill any enemies in the past 5 seconds. Yet, they still completely avoid H.A.R.P.

In fact, many people have even noticed that players who have just spawned are completely invisible. They haven't killed any enemies recently, they just died and respawned.

We are currently unclear what triggers this bug. But in short, Scout Combat Specialty seems to be constantly on, not just briefly off for 5 seconds after a kill. In my opinion, this may make the problem more serious and more widespread. Without this bug, we probably wouldn't see so many complaints about it.

    Final Thoughts

Finally, we feel that this bug must be addressed first when discussing Scout Combat Specialty. Scout should function as described: after a kill, Scout ability should last for 5 seconds, and if no further kill is achieved within 5 seconds, Scout ability should immediately expire.

Meanwhile, H.A.R.P. Scorestreak should also be taken seriously. Aside from something like Counter UAV that completely hides the minimap, I don't think anything should allow you to completely dodge H.A.R.P. attacks.

Of course, these are just my personal opinions. Do you think the current Scout Combat Specialty setup is reasonable? Do you think Scout should allow you to completely dodge an enemy wielding H.A.R.P.? See you next time!

  • Black Ops 7 Season 1 Carry Forward Update: What Items Return In Warzone, Multiplayer And Zombies?

    Posted: Dec 01, 2025

As you probably already know, the Carry Forward feature returns in Black Ops 7, allowing you to carry over some unlocked content and acquired items from BO6 to BO7, which will launch in 2025. This feature will officially launch with the release of Season 1.

So, here we'll discuss this Carry Forward mechanic and the new items - or rather, returning items - that will be updated in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 1. These items will not only appear in Warzone mode but also be available in Multiplayer and Zombies modes. Let's take a look!

Black Ops 7 Season 1 Carry Forward Update: What Items Return In Warzone, Multiplayer, And Zombies?

    Carry Forward Explained

First, let's explain this feature to new players. Carry Forward system allows weapons, Operators, Blueprints, camos, and cosmetic items to be carried over from the previous game to the new one. This feature was first introduced in Modern Warfare 3, released in 2023, carrying over content from Modern Warfare 2 to the new game. This meant that all weapons and operators from MW2 could be used in MW3's Multiplayer and Zombies.

It's important to note that while this feature will also be introduced in Black Ops 7 Season 1, only some content will be carried over.

    The Initial Carry Forward Plan

In fact, their initial plan was to port all content from COD BO6 to BO7, just as they ported all MW2 content to MW3, including all operators, weapon blueprints, camos, DLC weapons, and items, except for things like stats. This was the initial concept.

However, because of competition from Battlefield 6, they ultimately changed their minds. The developers felt that porting all these operators to Multiplayer would ruin Black Ops 7 gameplay experience. Therefore, they ultimately adjusted Carry Forward feature, now only allowing players to carry over two items: all accumulated Double XP tokens and GobbleGums.

However, they also stated that new items will be added in subsequent updates; for example, pre-ordered camos and Zombies Operators from Easter Egg quest will carry over to the new version. Now, they will be carrying over some other items as well.

    Warzone Update

The first major update to Carry Forward feature will be applied to Warzone.

Season 1 update will officially integrate Warzone, connecting it with Black Ops 7. This means player levels will be reset, and all data will start from level 1, including K/D ratio, win rate, and other stats. These are all the items that cannot be carried over.

However, we believe it's a good thing to have your data cleared when Haven's Hollow restarts. Especially if your previous stats and K/D ratio weren't ideal, now you still have a chance to improve.

Of course, there are many other items that can be carried over. First, all content from BO7 will be retained. All perks, scorestreaks, field upgrades, tactical items, weapons, and more will be available on day one of BO7 S1 update. There will be 30 new weapons to experience.

In addition, Warzone mode will introduce the brand-new Mastery Camo Grind, which you can start playing immediately.

Notably, all your previous content will be retained. Therefore, you will have access to your weapons, blueprints, and camos from Modern Warfare 2, as well as camos, blueprints, and operators from Modern Warfare 3, and all operators you unlocked in Black Ops 6.

In short, all camos you acquired through events, rewards, or paid operator bundles can be used in Warzone mode without any issues. This is the biggest highlight of Warzone.

    Multiplayer And Zombies Update

Although the official statement indicates there will be no more content carryover, we still welcome a new update to Carry Forward in Multiplayer and Zombies.

    Multiplayer

Many may not have noticed that the official patch notes for Season 1 actually mentioned some upcoming content.

For example, they said, "Expand Your Arsenal: Returning Black Ops 6 Loadout Content (Mid-Season)." Therefore, this content won't be available at the start of Season 1; you'll need to wait for Reloaded update to experience it.

Black Ops 6 Loadout content will arrive midway through Black Ops 7, including one Tactical item, two Lethals, two Field Upgrades, and eight Scorestreaks! These items will be added to your Loadout options, but they won't be able to use overclocking.

    • Tactical: Shock Charge officially returns as a tactical item.
    • Lethal: Includes Impact Grenade and Thermo Grenade.
    • Field Upgrade: Morphine Injector and Tactical Insertion.
    • Scorestreak: Archangel Launcher, Combat Bow, Death Machine, Dreadnought, Grim Reaper, SAM Turret, Strategic Bomber, and War Machine.

They stated that all these returning items can be used to complete daily or weekly challenges in CoD Black Ops 7 bot lobbies, earning Medals that unlock trophies, more XP, and a wider weapon selection.

    Zombies

They've now done the exact same for Zombies mode.

    • Chug Mule Kick
    • Shatter Blast Ammo Mods
    • Field Upgrade: Mister Peeks, Tesla Storm & Frost Blast

As for other items returning in the mid-season update, these include craftable items like Shock Charge, Thermo Grenade, War Machine, and Grim Reaper.

These are the returning items in Black Ops 7, updates made to retain items. Hopefully, these Carry Forward items will get you back to BO6 form and ready to battle on the battlefield!

  • CoD BO7 Proving Grounds Event Guide: Fastest Score Method, Date & Rewards

    Posted: Nov 27, 2025

Recently, we welcomed the first event since the release of CoD: Black Ops 7, Proving Grounds Event. Proving Grounds is a standalone leaderboard system in the game where players can compete for better cosmetic rewards by continuously chasing points in matches.

BO7 Proving Grounds Event started at 12:00 PM on November 25, 2025, and will continue until 11:59 AM on December 1, 2025.

Here, we'll show you the fastest way to complete this event, climb to the top of the leaderboard, and win all the limited-time rewards. Let's take a look!

CoD BO7 Proving Grounds Event Guide: Fastest Score Method, Date & Rewards

    Event Rules

First, the rules of Proving Grounds are simple: earn scores.

Earn scores in all multiplayer games and modes to earn leaderboard points, even eliminations count. So, anything you do in Black Ops 7 - eliminations, assists, or capturing objectives - will earn you points.

However, please remember, this is not related to XP. In other words, even if you use double XP tokens in CoD Black Ops 7 bot lobbies to quickly earn tens of thousands of XP, or complete all daily challenges, these will not affect your actual score. This means you don't have to worry about those with hundreds of XP tokens using them to beat you.

    Climbing The Leaderboard

Your leaderboard score determines your position on the top 30 players' leaderboard; the more points you have, the higher your ranking. Finally, after the event ends, you will receive rewards based on your final leaderboard ranking, including two camo rewards. Furthermore, completing Score Challenge will earn you additional rewards.

Before you participate in or enter your first game, a countdown will appear, telling you how much time is left until the event ends.

Then it will display the rewards for 1st, top 5, top 10, top 15, and top 30.

    • Top 1 - Proving Grounds: Champion Animated Calling Card
    • Top 5 - Proving Grounds: Top 5 Calling Card and Reverence Weapon Camo
    • Top 10 - Proving Grounds: Top 10 Calling Card
    • Top 15 - Loading Screen and Burial Grounds Weapon Camo
    • Top 30 - Proving Grounds Calling Card

In addition, there's another set of rewards available, as mentioned before, based on Score Challenge. So even if you don't care about rankings, you can still earn rewards by playing the game and getting scores.

    • Earn 10,000 Score: One Hour Double XP Token
    • Earn 20,000 Score: Mad Peace Weapon Charm
    • Earn 40,000 Score: One Hour Double Weapon XP Token
    • Earn 80,000 Score: Drop ‘Em M15 Mod 0 Weapon Blueprint

So, if you just want to finish the game without aiming for first place, simply aim for 80,000 points within a week.

    Gear Setup

Next, before you start running, you'll need to ensure you have a suitable set of gear. You can refer to our gear setup, but it's up to you.

For Wildcards, I recommend Perk Greed. It allows you to equip an extra perk, effectively giving you a fourth perk in your gear setup. This allows you to combine perks that wouldn't normally be usable simultaneously.

As for your secondary weapon, bring an A.R.C. M1 Launcher, which can be used to destroy equipment, vehicles, or other airborne Scorestreaks flying across the map. Furthermore, they can also serve as an alternative to eliminating enemies on foot, offering great flexibility.

For melee weapons, the choice is yours. However, you can prioritize weapons with higher base movement speed and utilize Lightweight Perk to maximize your ability to close the distance to enemies and increase your kill efficiency.

For Field Upgrades, we recommend Squad Link. If you don't have it, use equipment like Scrambler, which can also help you gain some points and disrupt enemy equipment within its area of effect. However, we still highly recommend Squad Link because it provides an additional bonus to all teammates within the circle, helping your squad coordinate better.

For Tactical, we used EMP Grenade throughout the match. It's a handheld throwable grenade that fires an electromagnetic pulse, disabling all electronic devices within its blast radius for a short time. Therefore, it's a very useful tool in Proving Grounds.

For Lethal, the best choice is Point Turret because it's automatic. You simply need to place it, and anyone who gets close will fire. Even if you only hit the target without killing them, you'll still get points.

    Perks

Now let's talk about perks. Here are a few important ones:

    • Gearhead (Tier 2): Doubles the speed at which you gain Field Upgrades.
    • Scavenger (Tier 2): Allows players to see and pick up ammo pouches left by dead players.
    • Bankroll (Tier 3): This perk is crucial because it reduces your scorestreaks consumption, which is a core part of the game.
    • Looper (Tier 3): Gives you the ability to regain Scorestreaks in the same life. However, this extra skill is unlocked only if you previously selected Greed Wildcard perk.

    How To Score Quickly?

Finally, we'll share a super-fast scoring method that ultimately led us to 24,000 points.

The first thing we need to do is equip Scout Pulse, UAV Recon, and Counter-UAV. The key here is equipping Overclock ability, which reduces their cost. This way, you only need to kill one person to get Scout Pulse, then kill one and a half to get UAV Recon, and immediately get Counter-UAV.

The brilliance of this strategy is that you don't need to kill to get them; you can simply utilize everything else in your inventory.

For example, throwing a Pinpoint Grenade grants 5 to 10 XP per hit, and your grenades can also earn you assists or kills. Squad Link gives bonus points every time a teammate enters the linked area and performs an action against your team. There's also Launcher; if someone calls for scorestreaks against the enemy, you simply look up, destroy them, and you'll get Counter-UAV.

Once you have Counter-UAV, every kill your teammates get earns you 5 points. You just need to stand there and protect yourself. As your teammates kill enemies, your score increases. So, this will definitely help you complete this event smoothly.

Even if you die, if your UAV Recon and Counter-UAV are still active, they will accumulate enough points for you to get the next batch of UAV Recon and Counter-UAV. This snowballs the process, allowing you to continuously gain the target points.

That concludes the details of this BO7 Proving Grounds event. Have you claimed all the rewards yet? With the event nearing its halfway point, it's time to speed things up and leave your mark at the top of the leaderboard!

  • CoD Black Ops 7 All 11 Campaign Intel Guide: How To Find Every Collectibles?

    Posted: Nov 14, 2025

With the official release of CoD: Black Ops 7, are you ready to dive into the new campaign story? But to understand all the backstory in the campaign mode and unlock additional achievements and collectibles, you'll need some key items: Campaign Intel collectibles.

Campaign Intels are collectible documents and items that players need to collect in the campaign mode to advance certain achievements and delve deeper into the major story. Currently, there are 11 Intel collectibles waiting to be discovered in Black Ops 7 campaign mode.

Unlike the intelligence gathering methods in previous versions, the Intels in BO7 aren't just documents scattered across the battlefield; instead, they are mission items that players need to find, and there's only one per mission level. They can appear anywhere within the mission area. Once you find an Intel, simply interact with it to receive a hint to unlock that item.

Here, we'll reveal the exact locations of all 11 Campaign Intels to help you quickly collect all the items and complete the campaign. Let's begin!

CoD Black Ops 7 All 11 Campaign Intel Guide: How To Find Every Collectibles?

    1. Becoming the Monster

First, the first Campaign Intel in CoD BO7 requires completing Exposure mission. Towards the end of that mission, while completing Escape objective and leaving the area, you'll accidentally fall below the floor and enter a new village. Here, you can find Intel in Press Forward objective.

After landing, you can also unlock Kinetic Jump and use it to climb three rock platforms to reach the main combat area. Next, clear the stairs and continue upwards. You'll see a stone well between a giant machete and a hut. Intel is the ordinary-sized machete placed on the well cover.

However, there are Enforcers guarding the stone well. If you get too close, you'll be continuously attacked by the guards. But when the attacks stop, that's when you can collect Becoming the Monster Intel.

    2. The Truth

To unlock the second Intel, you need to go to Avalon map and complete the first quest in that area, Inside. After accepting the quest, you need to find Karma in the cave and interact with her. You can choose your preferred route.

After finding her hiding place, look to your right. You'll see an interactive body bag. Interact with it to collect The Truth Intel. This is basically the most hard-to-miss intelligence item.

    3. Family Ties

After navigating the intricate container maze of Distortion quest and surviving the final ship ambush, you'll be able to accept Rescue Woods quest.

Go to the container, but don't open it. This will trigger a boss fight, requiring you to redo the entire Distortion quest to reach this point.

Remember, you only need to run across it, reach the edge of the floating dock, and look ahead. You'll see a lone floating island. With the grappling hook, you can easily climb onto it.

Here, you'll see an open tomb. Inside, examine the wall between the two platforms; you'll find an intelligence item called Family Ties.

    4. The Cost of Business

Back in Avalon, this next piece of intelligence is hidden at the end of Escalation mission.

When you reach the server building, fight the enemies inside, eliminate all hostile forces, and defeat the sniper Priya Zaveri. You'll then receive instructions to go to the server room and access the main terminal.

Upon entering the building, you'll see a marker pointing to the major terminal. In the room containing the main terminal, there are two small rooms on either side of the entrance. The target item is in the room to the right of the entrance; you can jump in through the window or simply open the door. On the table in this room is an open laptop and a USB drive; that's Campaign Intel: The Cost of Business you need to find.

    5. Best Laid Plans

In Disruption mission, which aims to Infiltrate the Forge, you need to clear the enemy forces at Forge entrance and advance until you crash your yacht into the fortress.

After completing that, your next objective is to enter the restricted area. However, that's not your immediate goal. You need to take the stairs on the left and proceed to the upstairs diagnostic room. This room is quite obvious, marked with the prominent number 8 on the wall.

Here, you can find some Self-Revive Kits and other useful items. Most importantly, hidden on top of a filing cabinet in the back left corner of the room is an intelligence item called Best Laid Plans. Take it and get out of there!

    6. Heavy Is the Head

The next intelligence item is in Collapse mission. You need to go to the large arena here, but note that the target item isn't there. Instead, you can find it before entering the arena.

You'll need to clear out a large number of enemies in the tent area outside the arena to successfully accept the mission objective: Locate the Tablet. If you want to deal with the nearby enemies in a less stressful environment, you can also buy CoD Black Ops 7 bot lobbies and complete this mission in a less competitive setting.

Next, head north, where there are many stone pillars and statues. Search carefully until you find a roofless building on the left side of the main passage. Climb up to find Heavy Is the Head intelligence.

    7. Team Bond

Next, you need to start Fracture mission and progress until you reach an area with a large, overturned red semi-trailer truck with farm patterns painted on the cargo bed. To the right of the truck is a large roadside, and to the left is a walkway made of oil drums.

The overturned truck's cargo bed is open; you can jump in through a makeshift hatch on the roof. Turn around immediately, and you'll find an inconspicuous flag badge in the cargo: Team Bond. This is probably the smallest of all the intelligence.

    8. Case

The next piece of intelligence is located inside the large hotel you need to visit in Find Dr. Faulkner mission. You can take the elevator to the top floor of the building, where you'll receive the objective Check bookcase, which requires you to investigate a suspicious bookshelf.

Walk down the corridor and turn right at the end to enter a large conference room. There's a piece of paper on the table in the conference room, and next to it, you'll find an intelligence item called Case. Take the intelligence and continue.

    9. Lake Time

Next, after heading to the hunting cabin in Suppression area, you can obtain this intelligence. The objective is to Reach the Cabin. Enter the cabin, go upstairs, and turn right into the room. Inside, turn right again and look to your right; you'll see a wooden dressing table. Hidden in a small corner to the right of the dressing table is an item: a fishing rod called Lake Time.

    10. Trigger Finger

Now, we're back in Avalon. In this level, you'll eventually receive a quest called Disable Cradle Shipments at the docks.

Note: Do not destroy them. Instead, stand on the bridge to the east or left of the stadium and eliminate some enemies if necessary.

Look at the target area on the bridge; you'll see a crane near the guild crates below. This is where you need to go. Jump onto the two crates next to the crane; the intelligence you're looking for is between them: Trigger Finger.

    11. Face the Nightmare

This last intelligence is very tricky; it's placed in the final boss fight. Therefore, you'd better make sure you have a grappling hook, as it will make gathering intelligence much easier.

However, you don't actually need to fight Kagan's three mechs. Instead, observe Kagan's control room and look for three large floating containers. The middle container is open, allowing entry from the back. Your goal is to climb onto the adjacent container, jump inside, and find the intelligence, Face the Nightmare, behind it.

  • CoD Black Ops 7 Zombies Full Guide | Ashes Of The Damned Map, All New Modes & Gameplay Explained

    Posted: Nov 12, 2025

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 brings back Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies, along with returning and new exclusive modes. Zombies modes not only introduce the largest map in the series' history, Ashes of the Damned, but also add four brand-new modes and gameplay, each offering different rewards and experiences, from tense and exciting waves of enemies to a more relaxed narrative experience.

Although the developers have revealed that some modes will be added some time after the release of Black Ops 7, this hasn't dampened the players' enthusiasm. Below, we'll provide a detailed introduction to the new Zombies map and the gameplay of each mode.

CoD Black Ops 7 Zombies Full Guide | Ashes Of The Damned Map, All New Modes & Gameplay Explained

    Ashes of the Damned

First, Ashes of the Damned in CoD Black Ops 7 is one of the largest traditional Zombies maps in the series to date, featuring six distinct locations connected by a network of roads. Players can also drive an upgradable vehicle to lead their squad across the map.

    Ol' Tessie

Ashes of the Damned is a spiritual successor to Tranzit Zombies map in Black Ops 2, which also spans multiple locations. However, unlike Tranzit, the primary mode of transportation in Ashes of the Damned is a pickup truck, affectionately known as Ol' Tessie by players.

More importantly, unlike the drivable bus in Tranzit, the Ol' Tessie is drivable and upgradable. Of course, it can also be damaged if you're not careful. Ol' Tessie's main purpose is to help you traverse the deadly The Fog, getting from one point of interest to another.

Of course, you can also choose to enter The Fog on foot, but without the pickup truck's support, you'll likely be swallowed by danger in a very short time.

Frankly, Tranzit's vehicle concept has always been popular in CoD: Black Ops series because it creates a sense of tension between destinations. And the game hasn't had such an interesting feature in a long time.

In CoD: Black Ops 7, trucks are an essential part of running Ashes of the Damned map, but they're not just for transportation. Upgrades are scattered throughout the map, including Mounted Turret and Pack-a-Punch machine. Pack-a-Punch machine is located on the truck and provides a buff to Ol' Tessie.

Most upgrades in the game are done in a garage in Ashwood, one of the main points of interest on the map. This location also serves as a hub. If your team abandons Ol' Tessie for some reason, it can be recalled to the garage.

    6 Major Points of Interest

Ashes of the Damned comprises six major points of interest, all connected by The Fog mentioned earlier:

    • Janus Towers Plaza
    • Vandorn Farm
    • Blackwater Lake
    • Ashwood
    • Exit 115
    • Zarya Cosmodrome

According to the developers, because the story of Ashes of the Damned takes place in Dark Aether - a mysterious parallel universe or something similar - they could select locations from different periods and regions to create a richly detailed world map.

Ashwood, located at the center of the map, dates back to the 1850s, while Exit 115 is reminiscent of Diner from Tranzit. Although each area has its own history, unique story, and atmosphere, they are all thematically linked to core story elements that will run throughout the season and advance as the plot unfolds.

    Zombies Modes

In addition, Black Ops 7 features four Zombies modes:

    • Standard
    • Directed
    • Survival
    • Cursed

However, like previous maps, these modes will not be available on launch day. This allows players who enjoy puzzle-solving and unraveling mysteries to enjoy the game without spoilers.

    Standard Mode

This is the familiar and beloved zombie mode where you'll fight wave after wave of enemies in turn-based combat in Ashes of the Damned, continuing the story of Dark Aether.

Besides the major story and side quests, Standard Mode includes all Zombies Easter eggs you'll expect. This mode is recommended for experienced players because, unlike some other modes, you'll need to find clues and discover Easter eggs yourself; there are no hints.

Most importantly, this mode will be available at BO7's launch, which is why it's the preferred choice for most players.

    Directed Mode

For those who love zombie games but rarely have time to explore all the hidden objectives, Directed Mode is definitely for you. This mode guides players through the story of Ashes of the Damned.

First appearing in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, this mode provides guidance and on-screen hints for the main quest, leading players step-by-step through missions and finding Easter eggs. If you want to reduce the time spent fighting zombies or searching for clues and focus more on exploration, then Directed Mode is the best choice, aside from choosing to buy CoD Black Ops 7 Bot Lobbies. However, it's important to note that this mode disables side quests to focus on the story.

Furthermore, this mode has a turn limit, so zombie hordes won't be too dense, making Directed Mode essentially a more relaxed zombie experience. However, this mode won't be available at launch but will probably be added in an update later this year.

    Survival Mode

If you don't care about the story at all and just want to experience the thrill of killing zombies, then the returning Survival Mode is the perfect choice.

The core of this mode is survival. You and your teammates will fight wave after wave of enemies within a small area of Ashes of the Damned map.

There is no story, main campaign, or missions; your sole objective is to do everything in your power to survive the escalating onslaught of undead enemies. Survival Mode will launch simultaneously with the game, with more maps potentially added in future updates.

    Cursed Mode

In addition to the three modes mentioned above, Black Ops 7 also introduces Cursed Mode, an extremely challenging mode that reintroduces some traditional zombie game mechanics, such as limited equipment options.

The developers also revealed that Cursed Mode will restore the previous scoring system, allowing players to maximize their score by killing zombies in specific ways.

Furthermore, Cursed Mode includes new side missions. Completing these missions unlocks relics, further adjusting the game's difficulty.

This mode will not be available immediately at launch, but will be unlocked for all players once someone completes the first primary mission.

Therefore, while Directed and Survival modes are designed to attract more fans and offer a more casual or brutal gaming experience, Cursed mode is the opposite; it aims to provide a completely new gaming experience for loyal players who find the standard mode lacking in challenge.

In any case, the new and returning modes, along with the improved Augment system, make this the most feature-rich Zombies mode we've ever seen. Black Ops 7 will be released on November 14th. We look forward to seeing you in the game!

So, what are characteristics of these weapons and their attachments? Which ones might dominate meta? Let's take a closer look.

CoD Black Ops 7 Full Weapon List And Prestige Attachments Revealed | Best Guns, SMGs, ARs & Meta Picks

    Assault Rifles (AR)

    M15 Model 0

    • Prestige Attachments: MFS 5.56 NATO FMJ

M15 Model 0 is a fully automatic, well-rounded assault rifle, similar to an M4 variant. Its Prestige Attachment, MFS 5.56 NATO FMJ, uses Subsonic 5.56 NATO rounds to prevent firing markers from appearing on minimap in multiplayer, while increasing effective range and flinch effect. It slightly reduces bullet velocity, though this is less relevant in Zombies mode.

    MXR-17

    • Prestige Attachments: MFS Semi-Auto Fast Mag

MXR-17 boasts high accuracy but a slower fire rate. MFS Semi-Auto Fast Mag converts it into a powerful semi-automatic weapon, combining unique firepower with control. It improves aiming and reload speed while adjusting recoil and damage drop-off.

    Peacekeeper MK1

    • Prestige Attachments: MFS Counterforce-C1 Stock

Fully automatic Peacekeeper MK1 benefits from MFS Counterforce-C1 Stock, which maintains standard recoil improvements while further enhancing recoil stability and bullet spread in Tactical Stance, while slightly reducing handling.

    X9 Maverick

    • Prestige Attachments: 14.6" MFS Pulse Load+ Barrel

X9 Maverick is a three-round burst assault rifle with excellent damage and recoil control. Its short, lightweight barrel greatly improves handling, stability in air and on landing, and mobility, while moderately reducing effective range—potentially useful in Zombies mode.

    DS20 Mirage

    • Prestige Attachments: Mirage Tandem Launcher

DS20 Mirage is a fully automatic rifle with solid damage and a built-in under-barrel grenade launcher. However, its recoil, mobility, and handling are average.

    AK-27

    • Prestige Attachments: Enhanced Cycle System

AK-27 delivers high damage with low vertical but high horizontal recoil. Its attachment eliminates horizontal recoil and increases fire rate, at expense of some muzzle velocity and vertical recoil, offering solid performance in both Zombies and multiplayer.

    Submachine Guns (SMG)

    Ryden 45K

    • Prestige Attachments: MFS Full Stock+

Seen in beta, Ryden 45K's stock improves bullet spread in Tactical Stance, overall mobility, and hip-fire performance, enhancing stability while jumping and landing.

    Dravec 45

    • Prestige Attachments: MFS Agile Laser Pro

Dravec 45 has very low recoil. MFS Agile Laser Pro boosts mobility and handling, slightly increases effective range, while sacrificing some recoil control and stability.

    Razor 9mm

    • Prestige Attachments: 12" MFS Sidewinder Barrel

Razor 9mm achieves excellent hip-fire accuracy. Its barrel attachment increases bullet velocity and reduces all forms of recoil, while trading off some handling.

    Carbon 57

    • Prestige Attachments: MFS Renown Plus Extended Mag

Carbon 57 has long range and low recoil but lower damage. Its attachment increases magazine capacity, improves aiming, sprinting, and movement speed, while reducing effective range.

    MPC-25

    • Prestige Attachments: 8.6" MFS Stratus-X Barrel

Short barrel improves recoil control for a more stable shooting experience. Although damage and range decrease, higher headshot multipliers keep it competitive.

    RK-9

    • Prestige Attachments: MFS Ironlung Handstop

RK-9 attachment reduces burst cooldown, increasing fire rate and reducing recoil, but removes automatic fire and aiming stability, while adding flinch resistance.

    Shotguns

    M10

    • Breacher Prestige Attachments: MFS XK-Lite Stock

Stock improves sprinting and walking speed and reduces spread during diving or sliding, while slightly reducing damage range and charge time.

    Echo 12

    • Prestige Attachments: 18" MFS Greyhound Barrel

This barrel increases bullet velocity, improves ADS spread and recoil control slightly, while reducing damage range.

    Akita

    • Prestige Attachments: MFS GD-7 Shock Stock

Akita is a new fully automatic shotgun with excellent mobility and handling. Its attachments enhance mobility and handling, but sacrifice recoil control and bullet spread, potentially making it a meta weapon. Akita's maximum level is 43. If you want to unlock all attachments quickly, you can buy CoD Black Ops 7 Bot Lobbies to complete weapon challenges.

    Light Machine Guns (LMG)

    MK.78

    • Prestige Attachments: MFS Heatshield Belt Fed

Its attachment extends overheat time, increases mobility, removes movement penalties while firing, and improves recoil and hip-fire spread, while introducing longer overheat recovery and ADS penalties.

    XM325

    • Prestige Attachments: MFS Motion Strike Laser

This converts LMG into a mobile turret, greatly reducing hip-fire spread and increasing effective range, while significantly slowing movement during hip-fire.

    Marksman Rifles

    M8A1

    • Prestige Attachments: MFS Striker Tactical Stock

A four-round burst marksman rifle. Its attachment improves hip-fire and Tactical Stance spread, and overall handling, while reducing recoil control and flinch resistance.

    Warden 308

    • Prestige Attachments: MFS Snap Trigger

High-damage, moderate-handling rifle limited by double-action delay. Attachment removes trigger delay and increases fire rate, while trading off some recoil control and effective range.

    M34 Novaline

    • Prestige Attachments: MFS Enhance-32 Handstop

A two-round burst rifle with excellent damage and range, but low mobility and fire rate. Attachment provides longer sustained aiming, better control, and improved mobility.

    Sniper Rifles

    VS Recon

    • Prestige Attachments: MFS R-Stop Handguard

A bolt-action sniper rifle with fast chambering and perfect hip-fire accuracy in Zombies mode. Attachment extends aim-hold time, improves chambering stability, ADS speed, sprint-to-fire speed, and flinch resistance.

    XR-3 Ion

    • Prestige Attachments: MFS 3x3 Compensator

One of strongest Beta weapons, this three-round burst sniper has high damage and low recoil, with a short pre-fire delay. Its attachment boosts hip-fire accuracy, while increasing charge time and reducing ADS speed, potentially making it a new meta option with stable aim lasers in Zombies.

    Shadow SK

    • Prestige Attachments: MFS Convergence Box Laser

A semi-automatic sniper rifle with high damage, stable recoil, and slow fire rate. Attachment significantly improves sprint-to-fire time and hip-fire spread, while trading off fire rate, offering strong performance in Zombies mode.

    Pistols

    Jäger 45

    • Prestige Attachments: 9.6" MFS Vital Ace Barrel

Attachment enables one-shot headshot capability, while sacrificing fire rate, ADS, mobility, handling, and recoil control.

    Coda 9

    • Prestige Attachments: MFS Delta Cell Bulk Mag

High damage and fire rate. Attachment emphasizes SMG-style use, stabilizing recoil and boosting mobility, while reducing damage and significantly increasing range; weapon swap speed slows.

    Velox 5.7

    • Prestige Attachments: 4" MFS Celeste Barrel

A three-round burst pistol. Its attachment improves movement speed, airborne control, jump landing stability, and weapon swap speed, making it suitable as a secondary to sniper rifles.

    Other Weapons

    • Launchers: A.R.C. M1, AAROW 109
    • Melee: Knife, Flatline Mk.II

These are all primary weapons and their Prestige Attachments revealed for Black Ops 7. Additionally, players can share their own weapon builds through Gunsmith interface by sharing unique build codes displayed at bottom-left, making it easier to replicate strong setups.
