  • Borderlands 4 New Vault Hunter C4SH And Related DLC | Everything You Need To Know

    Posted: Sep 30, 2025

Although Borderlands 4 has only been online for two weeks, it has already teased its major development plans for the coming months and early 2026 through its Post-Launch Roadmap. Perhaps the most anticipated of these are the two story-based DLCs.

More information has been released about the first DLC, Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned. More importantly, the new Vault Hunter, C4SH, which will launch alongside DLC, was unveiled at TGS 2025, which concluded on September 28.

So, what is this new Vault Hunter, and what will it bring to the game in the new DLC? We'll explain below.

Borderlands 4 New Vault Hunter C4SH And Related DLC | Everything You Need To Know

    What Is Vault Hunter?

You can think of Vault Hunter as a class system in Borderlands 4, but unlike other games, these classes aren't specific "types," but rather four specific characters, allowing you to choose your favorite based on their unique skills.

Currently available Vault Hunters include Rafa, Vex, Harlowe, and Amon, and the new hunter, C4SH, will join them as a new class choice as the first Borderlands 4 DLC Vault Hunter.

    About C4SH

At Tokyo Game Show 2025, Borderlands 4 revealed the new hunter, C4SH, through character design and concept art, along with his gear - foreshadowing his potential combat style.

Tall and sturdy, C4SH wears a wide-brimmed feathered hat, a feather boa, and a skull-like visor obscuring his face, creating an air of strangeness, danger, and mystery.

In reality, C4SH was once a casino dealer robot. After a strange awakening, he gained consciousness and ultimately decided to leave his past behind and embark on a journey to discover cursed Eldritch artifacts. The truth behind all this may lie in the new DLC.

Furthermore, concept art reveals that C4SH's arsenal includes two different guns, three special containers, a pair of dice, a deck of cards, and a launcher. This not only reflects his past identity but also highlights his gunfighter nature.

Combined with his gear and the inherent mechanics of Vault Hunter, C4SH is expected to have three active skills to choose from, each of which can be enhanced through a skill tree.

It's important to note that C4SH's active skills are quite unique; they require a coin toss or a card flip before being cast, and the result determines the skill's effect. This means C4SH will be a class that's both challenging and fun.

    C4SH Design Inspiration

While C4SH's active skills are unique in their activation, a similar mechanic already exists in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel's Vault Hunter Claptrap, whose skills generate 15 possible outcomes based on a dice roll.

While there's no direct connection between the two hunters, C4SH's skill design is clearly somewhat inspired by Claptrap's.

Furthermore, the trailer and concept art revealed at TGS have a distinctly Western feel, and combined with the overall color scheme, it's easy to recall the planet Gehenna in Borderlands 3's Bounty of Blood DLC.

    How To Get C4SH?

This hunter will be released in 2026 alongside the first DLC for Borderlands 4, which will be included in Story Pack 1. You can then obtain Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned DLC separately, or directly with the following options:

    • Borderlands 4 Super Deluxe Edition
    • Vault Hunter Pack (included in Super Deluxe Edition)

Borderlands 4 will continue to provide more information about C4SH through other channels in the coming months. Until then, it might be helpful to learn more about this DLC closely tied to this hunter.

DLC Mad Ellie And The Vault Of The Damned

This story pack is expected to launch in Q1 2026. In addition to the new Vault Hunter C4SH, you'll also be able to experience more main and side missions in the new zone Kairos, new gear, and the following cosmetic items:

    • 2 Vault Hunter Heads usable by all Vault Hunters
    • 2 Vault Hunter Heads for the new Vault Hunter
    • 4 Vault Hunter Skins usable by all Vault Hunters
    • 4 Weapon Skins
    • 2 Vehicle Paintjobs
    • 3 ECHO-4 Drone Skins & Attachments
    • 1 ECHO-4 Frame

The main story of this DLC will take on a darker and more gritty tone, with the protagonist, Ellie, actually being the daughter of Moxxi.

Moxxi is one of the most important characters in the entire Borderlands series, and the appearance of her offspring may foreshadow her demise - "mad" was originally her title.

If Moxxi does indeed die and exit the game in this DLC, it's likely to cause a stir among players, as she's a truly captivating character, and Borderlands series hasn't handled the deaths of other popular characters satisfactorily in the past.

But it's important to acknowledge that renewal is always necessary. Previously, her brother Scooter's death had little impact on Ellie's character development or the game's story, but her mother's departure may bring about a transformation for Ellie in Borderlands 4.

Regardless, this DLC, along with a subsequent story pack (more details have yet to be released), will undoubtedly help Borderlands 4 attract more players and further enhance the game itself by 2026. Let's look forward to it!

If you want to play as C4SH better in the new story packs, you'll definitely need to acquire and prepare more rare weapons. To that end, we recommend buying Borderlands 4 Legendary Gear from IGGM to enhance your abilities!

  • Borderlands 4 Kill Major Bosses To Get The Legendary Gear Loot

    Posted: Sep 15, 2025

From the moment you launch Borderlands 4, you'll be transported to the dangerous and challenging planet of Kairos, where you'll battle your way through the main story while strengthening yourself.

Like most games, Borderlands 4 offers multiple quests along the way, some of which feature dangerous bosses to defeat. Fortunately, these bosses also offer loot.

Below, we'll cover all the major bosses you might encounter, their rewards, and strategies for defeating them, based on the known playable content in Borderlands 4.

Borderlands 4 Kill Major Bosses To Get The Legendary Gear Loot

    Idolator Sol

This boss is part of the quest Rush the Gate and can be found in Fortress I Indomita in The Fadefields. Although he appears large, he only has three flesh bars, requiring you to deal sufficient burn damage to defeat him.

To achieve this, it's recommended to wait until the boss fires its locust cannisters before attacking. You can pick up and throw the green locust cannisters to destroy the boss's armor, making him more vulnerable.

Beyond your normal attacks, you can also shoot the green orbs on the boss for extra damage, quickly ending the fight and earning Borderlands 4 cash and the following legendary gear:

    • Golden God - Shotgun
    • Goremaster - Shotgun
    • Kickballer - Shotgun
    • Onslaught - SMG
    • Bio-Robot - Harlowe Class Mod
    • Dancer - Rafa Class Mod
    • Furnace - Amon Class Mod
    • Technomaster - Vex Class Mod

    Vile Lictor

This boss is encountered during the quest His Vile Sanctum in Terminus Range deep within Windspear region. It appears as a purple, floating behemoth.

Perhaps because quests focus more on unlocking more story content and providing rewards, Vile Lictor isn't particularly difficult to defeat. Initially, the boss has an armor bar and, upon emerging from the machine, uses Corrosive and Cryo abilities.

Once his armor is depleted, Vile Lictor begins a new phase, where you need to seize the opportunity to use the Impact ability to destroy his shields.

In addition, throughout both phases of Vile Lictor's fight, he will continuously fire deadly beams at you from his multiple hands, requiring you to defeat them while simultaneously damaging the boss.

    Vile Lictor loot pool includes:

    • Super Soldier - Shield
    • Ruby's Grasp - Pistol
    • Blacksmith - Amon Class Mod
    • Undead Eye - Vex Class Mod
    • Instigator - Rafa Class Mod
    • Generator - Harlowe Class Mod
    • Blockbuster

    Callis, The Ripper Queen

After completing Her Flaming Vision quest, you'll need to travel to Fallen Crown area of Carcadia Burn and find Moon-Called Throne to encounter this boss.

Before starting this boss fight, make sure you have a weapon that deals Corrosive or Cryo damage to break through the boss's shield, allowing you to deal more damage with Incendiary weapons.

As for Callis's abilities, be careful of her metal arms, which attempt to stomp you and cause flaming ruptures. Also, one of the best times to attack her is when she's retreating and web-slinging you. Defeating her has a chance to drop:

    • Queen's Rest - Pistol
    • Illusionist - Vex Class Mod
    • Viking - Amon Class Mod
    • Esgrimidor - Rafa Class Mod
    • Skeptic - Harlowe Class Mod
    • Pandoran Memento - Shield

    Moon-Maddened Callis

Another Callis! Similar in appearance and combat mechanics to Callis, the Ripper Queen, this boss isn't too difficult to defeat. After completing Another Day, Another Universe quest, you'll encounter this boss at the end of Elpis Orbital Shatterfield.

While similar in mechanics, Moon-Maddened Callis has double the armor and flesh bonuses of her predecessor. During the fight, she tends to stay in a ranged position, attacking with her barbed tail while covering the battlefield with webs.

Fortunately, you can still attack her using Corrosive or Cryo damage stacked with Incendiary weapons, but the fight may take longer. Note that this boss has no unique loot, only a random drop of Gamma Void.

Gamma Void is a heavy weapon ordnance. Its Radiant Exposure ability creates a singularity that lasts for 10 seconds, during which targeted enemies suffer 40% continuous radiation damage.

    Timekeeper

This boss is located in Upper Dominion in Dominion City. Upon reaching this location, take the elevator up to encounter the boss. This boss actually consists of two characters, or you can think of it as two phases: Timekeeper and Primordial Guardian Timekeeper.

Timekeeper's main abilities include teleportation, blinding, and energy beams. You'll need to dodge his attacks while simultaneously penetrating his shields and armor and dealing damage.

After defeating Timekeeper, the fight enters the second phase, where Primordial Guardian Timekeeper appears. He has health bars and will stomp around to deal damage.

The main loot for this boss fight includes:

    • Timekeeper's New Shield - Shield
    • Symmetry - Sniper Rifle
    • Star Helix - Assault Rifle
    • Borstel Ballista - Sniper Rifle

    Arjay

This boss is located in the same location as Timekeeper. If you're confident, you can continue the fight in Upper Dominion. During the fight, Arjay will launch Rippers, Vile enemies, and tornadoes to damage you.

Note that this boss currently does not reward legendary gear. So if you're not interested in pure combat, you can skip this boss fight until Arjay's loot is updated.

That's all for this guide! If your character hasn't yet acquired good gear or completed the main quest, start farming these bosses now!
