  • WoW Classic 20th Anniversary TBC Pre-Patch Race Draenei Leveling Guide

    Posted: Dec 02, 2025

Starting January 13, 2026, WoW 20th Anniversary will launch a new stage via TBC Pre-Patch! This means you can start playing TBC Anniversary version directly through server conversion without needing to acquire additional expansions!

Following the pre-patch, the game is expected to release new phases according to the regular WoW update schedule. You can choose to continue playing your converted WoW Classic 20th Anniversary character, or create a new character to try the new race!

The two new races added to TBC Anniversary are Blood Elves for Horde and Draenei for Alliance, with Draenei consistently being extremely popular among Alliance players.

Based on this, we will review the main features of Draenei race and how to level up as a Draenei character in Burning Crusade Anniversary.

WoW Classic 20th Anniversary TBC Pre-Patch Race Draenei Leveling Guide

Why Do You Need To Level As A Draenei?

If you've been following the game's developments, you'll know that TBC Anniversary pre-patch introduced Dark Portal Pass, which allows you to instantly level up your character to level 58 (near the maximum level), allowing you to focus on the new content.

Unfortunately, these two new races are not eligible for this mechanic. Perhaps because they are part of the new content themselves, even if you played them in Burning Crusade or Classic expansions, you should still try them out.

    Draenei Gameplay Overview

Generally, after choosing your race, the next step is to select a class. Different races offer different classes. The classes available for Draenei in TBC Anniversary include:

    • Shaman
    • Warrior
    • Paladin
    • Hunter
    • Priest
    • Mage

It's worth noting that currently only Draenei can play Shaman in Alliance, so if you're an Alliance player wanting to experience this class, using Draenei is your only option. In addition, Draenei's selectable class trainers are located at:

    • Crash Site on Ammen Vale
    • Azure Watch on Azuremyst Isle
    • Capital city Exodar on Azuremyst Isle

    What Are Racial Traits?

Each WoW race has its own unique traits, granting special abilities in combat or daily gameplay. All traits can be divided into active and passive forms, with each race possessing at least one active and several passive traits.

    All Draenei racial traits include:

    • Gemcutting: Directly increases Jewelcrafting skill points by 5.
    • Gift of the Naaru: Restores 50 health to a designated party member over 15 seconds.
    • Heroic Presence: Increases the hit chance of Warrior, Paladin, and Hunter allies within 30 yards by 1% in combat.
    • Inspiring Presence: Increases the spell hit chance of Priest, Shaman, and Mage allies within 30 yards by 1% in combat.

The second trait is better suited for solo play, allowing you to focus on healing yourself. The latter two presence-related traits enable you to play a reliable support role in raids.

    How To Level Up?

In Anniversary TBC, the level cap is 70, and the leveling system has undergone several changes compared to WoW Classic, aiming to optimize and enrich the expansion's playability.

These changes include adjustments to XP required for leveling up, and variations in quest levels and quantities. Based on this, leveling up in all races, including Draenei, can be divided into three phases:

    Level 1-10

Due to Draenei's popularity, you'll expect to encounter many players in the starting area after the pre-patch begins, making competition more intense.

In the early stages, your strength will be relatively weak, so it's best to avoid competing with others in the capital city. Instead, try to use magical teleportation or find a waypoint within the city to travel to less populated zones to farm XP.

Early on, earning XP primarily involves completing quests. To improve efficiency, you can pick up all quests in your current town and complete them one by one according to their distance, avoiding the wasted time of repeatedly picking up and delivering quests.

Alternatively, you can refer to the following quest guide:

    • Pick up and complete the quest "You Survived!" from Megalon in Ammen Vale.
    • Complete more Ammen Vale quests to reach level 5.
    • Start completing related quests on Travel to Azure Watch and Odesyus's Landing until you reach level 10.
    • When you reach level 8, you will also unlock two special quests on Azure Watch: "The Missing Fisherman" and "Learning the Language".

    Level 10-60

At this stage, you can choose to level up through dungeons, completing quests, or a combination of both, depending on your situation. The available mission zones will vary depending on your current level, including:

    • Level 10-20: Bloodmyst Isle, Darkshore, Loch Modan, Westfall
    • Level 20-25: Ashenvale, Redridge Mountains, Stonetalon Mountains
    • Level 25-30: Duskwood, Hillsbrad Foothills, Wetlands
    • Level 30-35: Stranglethorn Vale (North), Thousand Needles
    • Level 35-40: Arathi Highlands, Desolace
    • Level 40-45: Badlands, Dustwallow Marsh, Stranglethorn Vale (South)
    • Level 45-50: Feralas, Searing Gorge, Tanaris, The Hinterlands
    • Level 50-55: Azshara, Blasted Lands, Felwood, Un'Goro Crater
    • Level 55-60: Burning Steppes, Eastern Plaguelands, Western Plaguelands Winterspring

If you choose to level up by exploring dungeons, you can team up with friends or players you find through the in-game chat. Of course, you must choose dungeons that match your level; otherwise, you might suffer extra losses due to the excessive danger.

It's worth noting that some dungeons have a significant difference between their maximum and minimum entry levels. Therefore, if you can find high-level teammates, they can handle the combat while you wait at the dungeon entrance to collect XP!

The dungeons expected to be explorable during this phase include (from highest to lowest level):

    • Ragefire Chasm
    • Wailing Caverns
    • Deadmines
    • Shadowfang Keep
    • Blackfathom Deeps
    • The Stockades
    • Gnomeregan
    • Razorfen Kraul (30-40)
    • Scarlet Monastery
    • Razorfen Downs
    • Uldaman
    • Zul'farrak
    • Maraudon
    • Sunken Temple
    • Blackrock Depths
    • Lower Blackrock Spire
    • Upper Blackrock Spire
    • Scholomance
    • Stratholme (Living)
    • Stratholme (Undead)

    After Level 60

After reaching level 60, you can travel to Outland to level up to the maximum level by completing more dangerous content and PvP battles. However, you will need to obtain reliable gear to complete these battles before that.

The available Outland leveling routes are as follows:

    • Level 58-63: Hellfire Peninsula
    • Level 60-64: Zangarmarsh
    • Level 62-65: Terokkar Forest
    • Level 64-67: Nagrand
    • Level 65-68: Blade's Edge Mountains
    • Level 66-70: Netherstorm
    • Level 67-70: Shadowmoon Valley

The reason for starting from level 58 is that if your overall strength is reliable and you are eager to level up, you can enter Outland directly without waiting to reach level 60.

That concludes this guide. If you plan to play Draeni, this guide should be helpful!

  • WoW Classic 20th Anniversary PvP Honor Ranking System Overview And The Ways To Earn Honor Points

    Posted: Sep 09, 2025

If you've exhausted all the currently playable WoW 20th Anniversary dungeons and raids, or simply grown tired of battling pre-programmed enemies, it's time to dive into PvP combat for even more rewards and fun!

PvP system you can now experience has been significantly improved compared to the original Classic. Not only can you earn WoW Classic 20th Anniversary gold through PvP combat, but you can also continuously level up through victories.

The more ranks you unlock, the rarer gear and related titles you'll earn. It's important to note that each week, your Honor Points are calculated based on your PvP achievements, which determine your ranking.

This article will explain the basic mechanics of PvP Honor Ranking system and provide strategies for earning Honor Points to earn rewards.

WoW Classic 20th Anniversary PvP Honor Ranking System Overview And The Ways To Earn Honor Points

Overview Of PvP Honor Ranking System

This system incentivizes PvP combat through rankings and allows you to earn Honor Points through different types of combat. If your engagement is high enough, you can earn up to 500,000 points per week.

Your Honor Points total is calculated weekly, and upon reaching a certain threshold, your PvP rank increases. Higher ranks increase your chances of unlocking rarer gear.

It's worth noting that all unlockable PvP ranks for WoW Classic 20th Anniversary are only available after the launch of Phase 3, Blackwing Lair. If you've been stuck leveling because of this, you can now resume.

There are 14 PvP ranks in the game, and each rank unlocks corresponding gear and title rewards, the latter of which are permanently applied to your WoW 20th character.

    How To Earn Honor Points?

Besides engaging in direct PvP combat in permitted open areas, the game offers a variety of other ways to farm points, which we'll explain in detail.

    Honorable Kills (HKs)

When participating in any PvP content, if you or someone in your party kills an enemy faction player within 11 levels of your own, you'll earn Honorable Kill points.

However, it's important to note that the ultimate value of Honorable Kills you earn depends on a number of factors. Therefore, we offer the following tips to help you optimize the value of HKs you earn.

    Killing Higher-Level Players

First, you only earn HKs by killing enemies within 11 levels of your own level. This means that if you're level 60 and kill a level 45 opponent, the kill won't count.

Furthermore, you should aim to kill as many high-level players as possible. The higher the opponent's level, the more Honorable Kill points you'll earn - so you should also strive to raise your own level as much as possible.

Of course, if you're not confident in killing players of your own level, you can stick to the middle ground, for example, focusing on killing players around level 50 or 49 at level 60.

    Avoid Frequent Kills

Perhaps to ensure a more friendly PvP environment, WoW's 20th Anniversary implemented this mechanism. If you kill multiple players within a 24-hour period, Honor Points you earn will be reduced:

    • The second kill will have its value reduced to 75% of the value of HK points earned.
    • The third kill will have its value reduced to 50%.
    • The fourth kill will have its value reduced to 25%.
    • Killing another player five or more times will result in no Honor Points.

Maintaining A Level Balance Among Team Members

If you earn Honorable Kills with others in a group, all members will share the points earned from each kill. However, lower-level members will always receive less Honor than higher-level members.

Therefore, to ensure efficient farming, it's best to form a group with members of similar levels to avoid potential conflicts within the group.

    Survive To The End

To effectively earn Honorable Kills, you must not only kill the enemy but also survive. Furthermore, if the enemy is healed during combat, you will not receive additional points for killing it.

    Killing Racial Leader NPCs

Although this is considered a PvE encounter, it's a valuable way to earn Honor Points. Every two hours, you can kill the six WoW Classic 20th Anniversary racial leaders to earn Honor Points. If you're playing in a group, the points will be split evenly.

    The six NPCs are:

    Alliance:

    • Highlord Bolvar Fordragon (Stormwind)
    • King Magni Bronzebeard (Ironforge)
    • Arch Druid Fandral Staghelm (Darnassus)

    Horde:

    • Thrall (Orgrimmar)
    • Cairne Bloodhoof (Thunder Bluff)
    • Lady Sylvanas Windrunner (Undercity)

    Completing Objectives In Battlegrounds

Battlegrounds are PvP dungeon areas in the game. In addition to earning points by defeating other players, you can also complete special objectives, such as capturing the flag in Warsong Gulch or killing the lieutenant in Alterac Valley.

If two teams battle on a battleground, in addition to Honor Points, the winning team will also receive three Marks of Honor, which can be redeemed for XP and more points. The losing team will also receive one Mark of Honor.

To enter a battleground, you can use the portal at the battleground location or queue up at Battlemaster in your faction's capital.

    All PvP Honor Ranking Rewards

Once you earn enough points, your PvP level will increase, unlocking rewards.

Note that listed before the "/ "symbol are Alliance rewards, while those following are Horde rewards. Others are general rewards specific to each faction.

    • Rank 1: Private's Tabard/Scout's Tabard
    • Rank 2: Insignia of the Alliance/Insignia of the Horde
    • Rank 3: Sergeant's Cape/Sergeant's Cloak
    • Rank 4: Master Sergeant's Insignia/Senior Sergeant's Insignia
    • Rank 5: Blue-Quality Bracers
    • Rank 6: Access to Combat Mana Potion/Combat Healing Potion
    • Rank 7: Rare-Quality Set Boots and Gloves
    • Rank 8: Rare-Quality Set Chest and Legs
    • Rank 9: Alliance Battle Standard/Horde Battle Standard

    • Rank 12: Epic-Quality Set Gloves, Legs and Boots
    • Rank 13: Epic-Quality Set Helm, Chest and Shoulders
    • Rank 14: Epic-Quality Weapons

That's all for this introduction. Hope you reach rank 14 soon and become a PvP master in WoW Classic 20th Anniversary!

WoW Classic 20th Anniversary Phase 5 New Quests, Dungeons, And Class Sets: What Content Are In Them?

    Ahn’Qiraj War Effort

Think of it as a pre-quest to complete the two main dungeons in Phase 5. In this mission, you need to accumulate enough resources for your faction and deliver them to the corresponding commander within five days to help your faction open the gates of Ahn’Qiraj.

The commanders and required resources of different factions are as follows:

Alliance - Field Marshal Snowfall - Military Ward in Ironforge:

    • 14,000 Rainbow Fin Albacore
    • 17,000 Spotted Yellowtail
    • 20,000 Roast Raptor
    • 800,000 Linen Bandage
    • 600,000 Silk Bandage
    • 400,000 Runecloth Bandage
    • 33,000 Stranglekelp

    • 80,000 Thick Leather
    • 60,000 Rugged Leather

    Bang A Gong!

This quest is actually the final quest of The Scepter of the Shifting Sands questline. If you are the first player on the entire server to complete this quest, you will be able to open the gates of Ahn’Qiraj for others and obtain Black Qiraji Resonating Crystal mount.

Or if you can get the final reward of The Scepter of the Shifting Sands through this quest line, you can also get the mount by completing Bang a Gong! during Ten Hour War - but yes, it’s only 10 hours.

The entire The Scepter of the Shifting Sands questline is very long and includes multiple fragmented tasks. So if you don’t want to miss the mount reward and can’t be the “first”, you must hurry up!

In general, this quest line mainly includes the following stages:

    • Stage 1: First Three Quests
    • Stage 2: The Reputation Grind
    • Stage 3: Finally Continuing
    • Stage 4: The Three Scepter Shard Quest Lines
    • Final Stage: Open The Gates!

In addition, some tasks in the quest line will require you to turn in specific resources. In order to avoid delays, it is recommended that you farm them in advance and put them in your backpack:

    • 20x Arcanite Bar
    • 10x Elementium Ore
    • 10x Azerothian Diamond
    • 10x Blue Sapphire
    • 20x Goblin Rocket Fuel
    • 20x Deeprock Salt

20 Players Raid: The Ruins Of Ahn’Qiraj

This is the first dungeon you will face after the gate is opened. It resets every 3 days and its entrance is located in the south of Silithus. Completing it will earn you rewards such as gold, Cenarion Circle reputation and new enchantment recipes, and you will also have the opportunity to learn new ranks of spells.

There are 6 bosses in this dungeon, each with different combat skills and main drop rewards. You need to deal with them one by one according to their characteristics:

    • General Rajaxx: Boots of the Vanguard, Manslayer of the Qiraji.
    • Buru the Gorger: Buru’s Skull Fragment, Slimy Scaled Gauntlets, Gloves of the Swarm.

40 Players Raid: The Temple Of Ahn’Qiraj

This dungeon is only accessible after the server-wide event Ahn’Qiraj War Effort is completed. You and your teammates will encounter 9 bosses in it (3 are optional). They provide basic loot similar to The Ruins of Ahn’Qiraj, but also drop rarer rewards.

    • The Prophet Skeram: Amulet of Foul Warding, Pendant of the Qiraji Guardian, Cloak of Concentrated Hatred.
