  • Dune Awakening Abandoned Bases: How To Loot Them?

    Posted: Aug 30, 2025

In Dune Awakening, your base is the starting point for all your adventures: it's where you rest, store and process resources, and, when necessary, protect you from the elements.

The game doesn't impose many limits on the number of bases you can build, so you'll see other players' bases in many areas. Generally, in non-PvP zones, you can't do anything about other people's bases.

However, the game has been online for over two months now, and some players may have stopped playing or simply haven't had the time to log in, leaving their bases effectively unowned.

If no one else enters, these abandoned bases will gradually decay in the game, but honestly, this is a bit of a waste, as they likely contain Dune Awakening items left behind by their owners.

To make these unused resources available again, you can loot these bases as an active player! Even if the original owner re-enters the game later, they'll be out of luck.

For this reason, this article will explain how to loot other people's abandoned bases and other related information.

Dune Awakening Abandoned Bases: How To Loot Them?

    Which Bases Can Be Looted?

"Abandoned" is just our general definition of a base that's no longer in use, but not all abandoned bases can be looted - only bases that are unowned and without power are allowed.

Maintaining power ensures your base has a shield against invaders. You can also maintain the safety of your assets by pre-setting specific access permissions for your base.

On the other hand, if you're just unable to always play Dune Awakening for personal reasons, not leaving it entirely, you can periodically refuel your base's generators online to maintain power and prevent it from being looted.

    How Do Bases Decay?

Generally speaking, bases in Dune Awakening decay naturally over a long period. They typically decay starting at the center and working their way down.

If you return to the game after a long time and your base hasn't been looted, you can replace and repair base components, observing their decay rate and health.

If a facility or entire base eventually decays, the items stored within will also disappear, but these bases are often haunted by thieves.

Usually, as a player, you can't directly eliminate thieves, but you can summon monsters or enemies to eliminate them. Then, you can kill these later enemies to obtain the remaining supplies within the abandoned base.

    How To Loot?

First, as mentioned above, you need to observe whether the abandoned base has lost power to determine your looting target. Then, approach the base and locate the thieves and the nearest monsters you can find.

Next, you need to agitate the monsters as much as possible to lure them towards the target base. However, due to different monster types having different characteristics, not all are easily lured.

Generally, melee monsters that are easier to focus fire on and have a longer range than other monsters are suitable targets - unless they can't reach you, they will always engage in melee.

So, you can use the ornithopter to keep a distance from the monsters and gradually lead them to your destination until they can begin to attack the thieves.

Once the original thieves are eliminated, you must immediately release your own thieves to take over the base, as abandoned bases without access permissions can be taken over by anyone at any time.

So, while you're targeting a base, there's a good chance others are nearby, waiting to defeat your thieves and take over the base - the world of Dune Awakening is always unforgiving.

After eliminating the original thieves and ensuring that no one else is likely to attack you, you can begin looting the abandoned base's facilities for any remaining resources.

If you're lucky, you might find many items left behind by the previous owner. While these items are a "free lunch," you should only loot valuable or urgently needed items, as the more you have, the more you'll have to transport.

    How To Protect Your Base?

If you have to temporarily leave the game but don't want to lose your hard-built base, in addition to finding ways to power your base yourself or with friends, as we've already mentioned, there are other methods that can help.

    Manage Permissions

Set your doors and containers to "Owner" or "Co-Owner" through the base's Sub-Fief console to prevent unauthorized access.

You can also grant friends access to your base this way, allowing them to refuel your generators when you're busy, preventing power outages and shield damage.

Build Your Base In PvE Zones Whenever Possible

If your base is located in Hagga Basin or the southern PvE portion of Deep Desert, it will be invulnerable to raids or destruction by other players.

Even if you previously built a base in a PvP zone for some reason, you can retrieve the resources stored there before leaving the game to minimize losses.

    Be Mindful Of Guild Members

If your character has previously joined a guild, be aware of your base's default permissions, as they may allow higher-level guild members to access your base.

While this is generally unacceptable, who knows? After all, you might even be tempted to plunder someone else's base!

While plundering someone else's base may seem unethical, if the original owner is truly no longer online, it's better to plunder the resources for your own use and maximize their value rather than letting them rot.

  • Dune Awakening A New Beginning Guide: How To Complete This Main Quest?

    Posted: Aug 12, 2025

Before you embark on your serious resource farming journey and the endgame, Dune Awakening will release several main quests to ensure you master all the knowledge and skills needed to survive in the desert.

Some of these quests introduce you to the game's main story through a combination of story and combat, while others provide a step-by-step introduction to basic combat controls across different regions.

The latter type of quest consists of six quests:

    • The Fall of the Proteus
    • A New Beginning
    • Vermillius Gap
    • Jabal Eifrit & Hagga Rift
    • Shield Wall & O'odham
    • The Sheol

Quest A New Beginning primarily teaches you how to gather materials to build a base and add a few basic amenities, providing a relatively complex process. To help you master the techniques needed to complete this quest, we've provided a guide.

Dune Awakening A New Beginning Guide: How To Complete This Main Quest?

    Step 1: Getting Equipped

A New Beginning begins immediately after completing the quest "The Fall of the Proteus." You'll learn how to acquire enough Dune Awakening items to begin building your first base in the hostile environment.

To do this, stay as close to nearby rock formations as possible to avoid being killed by sandworms in the open desert. You can also farm any resources you see around the rock formations (if your level allows), but be wary of bandits.

After obtaining 15 pieces of fiber from scavenger camps or bushes, you can craft temporary clothing and obtain a full set of gear using "Makeshift Clothing" option in the research menu.

Next, you can get 65 pieces of metal by destroying metal deposits with a Cutteray. Then, by researching Maula Pistol Kit in the research menu again, you can craft Improvised Maula Pistol and Light Darts.

Step 2: The Attitude Of The Knife

This step will require you to learn how to craft and utilize more items. Continue collecting 20 metals to craft a Respawn Beacon, then place it somewhere secluded and safe, as it will serve as your respawn point upon death.

Once you've crafted enough metal to obtain binoculars, equip them and use their zoom function to scan the surroundings to find a scavenger camp - marked by a small campfire icon.

Next, use any skill at the camp to kill bandits, then open the skill menu again and select a new skill to complete Step 2.

    Step 3: Shelter And Shields

As the name suggests, this step primarily teaches you how to build a shelter and its associated shields. To do this, you'll need the following resources:

    • Granite Stone x150
    • Salvage Metal x125
    • Salvage Fuel Cells x24

Next, open the research menu and craft a construction tool from Basic Construction Kit option. Utilize it to obtain a Sub-Fire Console, which will serve as the centerpiece of your base.

Use the construction tool to continue selecting foundation tiles, wall pieces, roof pieces, wall pieces, and a door to complete your initial base construction. You can also use the construction tool to move Sub-Fief Console at any time.

Finally, place a small storage container and a fuel-powered generator within your initial base. Interact with the generator to place more fuel cells inside to activate your base's shield.

It's worth noting that the entire base construction process can be completed with teammates to reduce the construction burden, but you'll feel more accomplished if you stick to it alone.

    Step 4: Water From Blood

First, collect 110 salvaged metal and 25 fiber to craft a blood extractor and a small blood sack. Then, find some random enemies, kill them, and use the blood extractor to collect their blood.

Next, return to your base and craft a Blood Purifier. Place it in a convenient location. Place the collected blood into the machine to purify it and create water.

Step 5: Echoes Of The Past

This step essentially requires you to complete First Trial of Aql. Its primary purpose is to teach you how to rehydrate and craft Scavenger Stillsuit set. More detailed quest locations and completion instructions can be found in Trials of Aql guides.

Step 6: A Touch Of Civilization

This step first requires you to master the crafting and utilization of the small ore refinery, which will then yield 12 Refined Copper. The second tool you'll need is Survey Probe, which can reveal hidden resources in the surrounding area.

After completing these steps, travel to Griffin's Reach Tradepost, which will need 40 copper to complete Scrap Mettle: Copper Required quest. You can then exchange for a Hajra Literjon Mk1 at the nearby merchant by 500 Solari.

Step 7: The Wreck Of The Alcyon

No need to return to base, continue to Wreck of the Alcyon and defeat any enemies you encounter along the way. Open as many chests as possible in the wreckage until you obtain 10 Plasteel Microflora Fiber and 2 Mechanical Parts.

Once you're done, head outside the wreckage to collect another 25 fiber and 160 copper. Then return to your base craft Scavenger Rags, Karpov 38, Kindjal, and smelt some copper ore.

    Step 8: Across The Gap

Travel to His Imperial Majesty's Desert Botanical Testing Station and collect 6 Particle Capacitors and 13 Advanced Servoks. Return to base to learn how to craft Sandbike Mk1 components. Then, use the fabricator to craft the following items:

    • Sandbike PSU Mk1
    • Sandbike Tread Mk1 x3
    • Sandbike Engine Mk1
    • Sandbike Chassis Mk1
    • Sandbike Hull Mk1

Afterwards, use the small chemical refinery and construction tool to refine a small or medium vehicle fuel cell. Continue using the fabricator to craft a Welding Torch Mk1 to assemble Sandbike.

Refuel Sandbike and ride it to complete this step. Then, you can always use your new vehicle to quickly traverse rock formations, but be careful of sandworms.

After completing all the above steps, it means you have completed quest A New Beginning. If you still have time, start the next part of the quest line: Vermillius Gap immediately! Good luck!

  • Dune Awakening Trooper Tank Build: What Gear And Skills Makes You Invulnerable?

    Posted: Aug 08, 2025

Combat in Dune Awakening can be roughly divided into ranged gun attacks and melee sword attacks, which can be further subdivided. But for an MMO, this kind of combat seems to be lacking something. So, where are the tanks?

In a sci-fi MMORPG like Dune Awakening, even the strongest man can be easily killed by gun, and players can attack from behind vehicles. Therefore, the tank class in typical MMOs has been neutered.

But this neutering isn't a complete loss. If you focus entirely on defense, you can become a tank. Dune Awakening provides more than enough armor to survive enemy rockets. Below, we'll introduce a tank build and see what skills and Dune Awakening items it requires.

This set provides up to 78% damage reduction. Power Pack MK6 provides 890 power. Circuit Gauntlets not only doesn't consume power but also replenishes it, allowing Holtzman Shield lasts longer.

This armor set offers little protection against blades, so you'll need weapons to keep enemies at bay. Regis Disruptor Pistol is your primary weapon. After charging, this pistol deals over 400 damage, making it a formidable weapon for your foes. This set is primarily composed of Tier 6 items, requiring a significant number of Dune Awakening items, so crafting them all may take time.

This skill set is centered on Trooper. Besides increasing the damage of ranged weapons, Trooper Its skills are also very flexible, allowing you to both track enemies and quickly distance yourself from them.

The above is a brief overview of the tank build. Because of the difficulty of crafting the required equipment and the large amount of Dune Awakening materials required, this build is not recommended for non-guild players. However, if you are part of a guild, this set of equipment will make you a formidable boss in battles with other players.

  • Dune Awakening Ways To Deal With Shields: How To Break Enemy Defenses?

    Posted: Aug 07, 2025

Generally speaking, Dune Awakening PvE enemies have their own unique mechanics, allowing you to master their attack and defense patterns and ensure you have sufficient abilities to deal with them.

However, upon entering Deep Desert PvP zone, you’ll find that because of the uncertainty of actual players, your failures are often due to your inability to understand how to deal with them, rather than the differences in character abilities themselves.

For example, you might know how to use a shield to protect yourself, but rarely consider how to break it. However, this knowledge is essential in PvP combat; otherwise, you’ll struggle to effectively inflict damage.

This article will introduce several ways to deal with enemy shields in PvP, improving your win rate and playability in PvP.

Dune Awakening Ways To Deal With Shields: How To Break Enemy Defenses?

    What Are Dune Awakening Shields?

As a Dune Awakening item, a shield is a defensive weapon that protects you from incoming projectiles by preventing molecules from traveling beyond a set maximum speed. Because its working principle is related to Holtzman Effect, it is also called Holtzman Shield.

While shields provide protection in all combat modes, it’s important to note that using them can attract sandworms. Therefore, in PvE, it may be safer to use ranged weapons directly rather than activating a shield.

    Currently available shield types include:

    • Personal shields
    • Demi/Half shields
    • Vehicular shields
    • Base shields

This article will focus on the shield-breaking methods of the first two.

    Disruptor Pistol

This type of pistol operates by charging. After charging, use it to fire high-damage darts at shielded enemies, destroying their shields with just one or two blasts, making it very effective in combat.

Note that the specific damage effect varies depending on the version of Disruptor Pistol, and each version also has different drop locations and crafting materials. Currently known versions of Disruptor Pistol include:

    • Artisan Disruptor Pistol (Tier 3)
    • House Disruptor Pistol (Tier 4)
    • Adept Disruptor Pistol (Tier 5)
    • Regis Disruptor Pistol (Tier 6)

As long as you keep charging and repeat the same cycle of aiming, charging, and firing, you can use this weapon to break enemy shields and quickly kill them. As you can see, different versions of Disruptor Pistol have different tiers, so you can strive for higher-tier ones.

    Disruptor M11

Although it requires a lot of darts to break shields with this weapon, firing enough darts will definitely break them. If you don’t know more about how to obtain or use other weapons, this is definitely the easiest choice.

There’s not much to say about its use; simply keep firing darts until the enemy’s shield is broken. While this may make it less effective than other weapons, its “no-brainer” gameplay is also an advantage.

    • Standard Disruptor M11 (Tier 2)
    • Artisan Disruptor M11 (Tier 3)
    • House Disruptor M11 (Tier 4)
    • Adept Disruptor M11 (Tier 5)
    • Regis Disruptor M11 (Tier 6)

    Drillshot

A rechargeable melee weapon, Drillshot fires drilling darts at NPC shields. While it can be dodged, it can still deal significant damage if avoided successfully. Note that Drillshot recharges quickly, but reloads slowly.

To utilize it in combat, first create some distance from the enemy and charge, then fire. The needle will then penetrate the shield, and the drilling darts will then break the shield or knock the enemy down.

    • House Drillshot FK7 (Tier 4)
    • House Burst Drillshot (Tier 4)
    • Adept Drillshot FK7 (Tier 5)
    • Adept Burst Drillshot (Tier 5)
    • Regis Drillshot FK7 (Tier 6)
    • Regis Burst Drillshot (Tier 6)

    Explosive Darts

While this dart can only be attached to the unique, modified battle rifle Pipecleaner, it can be used to add explosive powder to the dart, giving the rifle a surprising combat effect.

Generally speaking, most players will prefer to use this dart and Pipecleaner to deal with ordinary enemies, but with persistence, it can also be used like a disruptor to break enemy shields.

Dune Awakening Solari Hot Sale At IGGM.com

    Swords

Having already introduced the available firearms, swords are actually another effective way to break shields in Dune Awakening. While both short swords and long swords can do the same, long swords offer greater range and are superior for attacking, dodging, and even blocking.

The general strategy for sword combat is to first grab the enemy and block, then perform a charging attack to either break their shield or simply drive through it to kill them.

More specifically, before blocking, right-click in a small window to block smoothly. Then, hold down the left button to perform a charging attack to penetrate the enemy’s shield, as stabbing directly into the shield consumes a lot of stamina.

    Mastering The Hop Technique

No matter how powerful your weapon is, breaking an enemy’s shield with its attacks is always a laborious task. This technique effectively disables the enemy shield in a special way.

For example, if you encounter a fast melee enemy who approaches you to block your shot, you can immediately jump onto a piece of furniture or a box, forcing them to use their secondary weapon to damage you, which will disable their shield.

    Poisoning

If you have a spit dart and a skill that deals poison damage, you can actually use it to poison an enemy through their shields, knocking them down. After hitting an enemy with a spit dart and dealing poison damage, continue using another weapon or applying poison.

While this method can be time-consuming, it’s well worth it given the constant nature of battles in the dangerous Deep Desert. The key point is that many players seem to be unaware that poison can penetrate shields, which it can.

We’d be honored if this information helped you complete combat in the game! Have fun!

  • Dune Awakening Best PVP Skills: How To Win Battles With Them?

    Posted: Aug 04, 2025

Compared to fixed PvE gameplay, any game’s PvP mode is inherently more challenging and dangerous due to the uncertainty of real players, and this is no different in Dune Awakening.

Dune Awakening’s PvP zone is confined to the exclusive Deep Desert, which doubles as the game’s endgame area and is synonymous with danger.

However, if you want to farm more valuable Dune Awakening items or experience the core gameplay, you must risk entering this area via the ornithopter. Of course, to avoid being killed by other players, you’ll need the highest gear and most reliable skills.

With this in mind, this article will briefly describe the game’s PvP gameplay and then introduce the most suitable PvP skills.

Dune Awakening Best PVP Skills: How To Win Battles With Them?

    Deep Desert

Terrain-wise, Deep Desert is a vast sandy expanse occasionally dotted with rocks. It not only houses the game’s most productive spice fields, but also offers advanced schematics, dangerous enemies, and PvP areas where conflict can ensue.

The most unique feature of this map is that a Coriolis Storm occurs every Monday, causing the map to reset on the Tuesday morning. Furthermore, the storm destroys all bases built in Deep Desert, returning only a portion of the construction materials.

Deep Desert is divided into 81 mini-areas in a grid-like sandy landscape. Some areas are entirely sandy, while others offer a variety of locations for players to scavenge or contest.

The lower half of Deep Desert map, near Shield Wall, is PvE zone. Imperial Testing Stations, as well as the general land and airspace, are relatively safe, but Shipwrecks and control points still function as PvP zones.

The upper half of the map is primarily PvP, where you can engage in PvP battles as a team or guild, farming spices while defending yourself or looting others.

    Basic PVP Strategy

When fighting in Shipwrecks or other PvP areas, you must first ensure your character is at a high enough level and has acquired most of the gear necessary to survive and fight in the desert. Otherwise, even if your teammates are reliable, you’ll be holding them back.

As for skill selection and build crafting, it all depends on your class. Initially, the most suitable classes for PvP in Dune Awakening were melee-focused, but ranged classes seem to be performing well lately.

While you can initially choose only a basic class, you can later master other class skills by learning from various trainers. Based on the recent class performance, we’ve recommended several suitable PvP skills (both active and passive) for you.

    Best Swordmaster PVP Skills

As a class primarily focused on close combat and defensive techniques, most of Swordmaster’s skills are easy to learn, making them a great choice with tactical awareness.

    Stamina & Conditioning Skills

For the current Dune Awakening PvP gameplay, Swordmaster skills that are most helpful are primarily Stamina & Conditioning. They are:

    • General Conditioning: Increases your maximum stamina.
    • Disciplined Breathing: Improves your stamina recovery rate.
    • Optimized Hydration: Provides additional stamina when you rehydrate.
    • Desert Conditioning: Reduces stamina loss when you’re dehydrated.
    • Thrive on Danger: Enhances your performance when your health is low.

While these skills don’t provide a noticeable boost to attack damage, the benefits they provide can be used in various ways to continuously increase your stamina and recovery rate, extending your combat time in the desert.

    Other Skills

Once you’ve fully enhanced your stamina, there are actually a few Swordmaster skills worth unlocking that increase your damage or special resistances:

    • Confidence: Each time you attempt a difficult attack, you gain greater confidence, mitigating the damage taken. Blade Damage: Increases your damage output.
    • Long Blade Damage: Increases damage output through training with long blades.

    Best Planetologist PVP Skills

This class focuses on exploration and resource farming. Most skills enhance your resource gathering, vehicle crafting, and tool utilization.

While these skills may seem insignificant in PvP combat, if you still have extra skill points in the endgame, consider unlocking Planetologist skills, which indirectly increase your ranged damage.

    Best Mentat PVP Skills

Mentat is a ranged class, primarily focused on scouting and sniping. Its progression paths include Mental Calculation, Assassination, and Tactician, each offering distinct advantages.

Of these, the most suitable for PvP is undoubtedly Mental Calculation, which enhances your ranged attack accuracy and weak point exploitation. To build on this, we recommend unlocking the following skills:

    • Ranged Damage: Increases the damage of all your ranged weapons.
    • Pistol Damage: Increases the damage of all pistol-type weapons.
    • Shield Wall: Provides cover for you and your allies in combat, slowing the movement of enemies who attempt to pass through it, giving you time to defeat them.

    Best Trooper PVP Skills

This class offers reliable combat and mobility, making it suitable for direct melee combat. More specific Trooper skills worth unlocking include:

    • Anti-gravity Field: Lifts enemies in combat or protects you from falling damage while moving.
    • Suspensor Dash: Performs an aerial dash by pacing your movements.

While we’ve introduced many skills, you won’t likely use all of them in every PvP encounter. Therefore, you can experiment with different skill combinations and build new PvP builds on the weekly refreshed Deep Desert map.

As long as you work hard enough, you will always find the best PvP skills and builds to utilize in one-on-one, team battles, and multiplayer battles! I wish you success!

  • Dune Awakening Ornithopter Choosing Of Deep Desert: What You Should Know?

    Posted: Jul 31, 2025

Of all Dune Awakening vehicles, the ornithopter is arguably the most efficient and versatile. Especially when you need to traverse dangerous terrain or avoid enemies, only a flying ornithopter can do the job.

But in reality, as you travel to various areas with an ornithopter, you’ll find that ornithopters are divided into two main types: scout and assault, each providing different benefits for PvP or resource farming.

So, when you’re ready to take on Deep Desert, which ornithopter is best for you? Or is it best to have both? Below, we’ll explain the difference between the two.

Dune Awakening Ornithopter Choosing Of Deep Desert: What You Should Know?

What’re The Differences Between The Two Ornithopters?

Both essential Dune Awakening items, the first key difference between the scout and assault ornithopters is their size. The scout helicopter is small enough to be stored directly in the vehicle’s spare gear, meaning you can even carry the scout version alongside the assault ornithopter.

Because of this, the scout ornithopter only has 500 slots of storage, while the assault ornithopter has over 1,000. However, the scout version is faster—at an altitude of 750 feet, you can glide in vulture mode.

Note that as altitude increases, the scout ornithopter’s speed slows down. If you don’t press the W key, it will automatically descend to increase its speed and glide indefinitely. This makes flying the scout ornithopter somewhat challenging.

How To Fly The Assault Ornithopter?

Unlike the scout ornithopter, the assault version cannot glide indefinitely and regain altitude. However, it can begin drifting after reaching a certain speed and altitude. This is primarily because the assault ornithopter can be equipped with an energy storage device and a boost module.

The boost module does not consume fuel, instead, it boosts your energy to allow the assault ornithopter to reach sufficient altitude. After maintaining a stable speed, the boost module then shuts off and continues gliding.

Note that when controlling the assault ornithopter’s speed by adjusting its cover, it’s best to slightly raise the nose rather than fully raise it, as this can damage the ornithopter’s generator due to overheating.

Main Use Of The Assault Ornithopter

If you plan to farm resources in Deep Desert, you’ll need to establish a base there to stockpile resources. Typically, spice and titanium will be your primary farming targets.

Later, whether you’re traveling between your Deep Desert base and resource spawn points, or bringing resources back to your main base, it’s crucial to ensure your vehicle has ample storage space.

For this reason, the assault ornithopter, with its larger storage capacity, is undoubtedly the best choice. Using a Scout Ornithopter to transport resources will consume extra time and is unnecessary.

Dune Awakening Solari Hot Sale At IGGM.com

What Is The Use Of The Scout Ornithopter?

The core of this type of Ornithopter lies in its Scout Warner. Since there are multiple resource spawn points in Deep Desert, to maximize farming efficiency, in addition to your base, you should also establish research stations around various spawn points.

Generally speaking, the distances between research stations aren’t very far, and you likely won’t be gaining a lot of resources while traveling between them. This is when the scout ornithopter, with its small storage space but lightweight and fast design, becomes more useful.

    How To Infinitely Glide?

To achieve this with the scout ornithopter, first ascend to an altitude of 750 feet, then point the nose down and press the W key to achieve maximum speed. If you find yourself having to fully ascend again, you’re not using the correct technique.

It honestly takes practice to perfect the glide, but if you consistently struggle, there might be a problem with the ornithopter component responsible for speed.

If you have MK4 wings, they provide a glide speed of 160, along with decent turning speed and agility. You’ll also need to ensure your generator and engines are functioning properly.

The generator is responsible for fuel efficiency and temperature levels, while the engine determines your hovering speed and keeps you aloft.

If you upgrade your tools to MK5, you’ll need to immediately upgrade the wings to increase your glide speed and then upgrade the engine for higher RPM. In fact, as long as you have a higher speed, you can reach an altitude of 750 feet faster.

In general, to increase your speed for smooth gliding, the wing upgrade is required; the other two are optional. With the glide speed increase, your flight speed will also reach 183, further improving your ornithopter’s overall transport efficiency.

How To Choose Your Final Ornithopter Type?

If you want to continue farming in Deep Desert, it’s best to quickly craft an assault ornithopter, as it can handle more transport duties.

On the other hand, the scout ornithopter is also indispensable. It can make short journeys in Deep Desert faster. And if you encounter looting from real players, you can evade them flexibly and minimize losses, after all, its resource carrying capacity is very limited.

To be honest, both ornithopters are crucial to improving your survival rate and resource farming efficiency in Deep Desert. If conditions permit, you should have both and switch between them according to different scenarios and combat needs.

That’s the main points for this introduction. If you found this information useful, you should craft both ornithopters in-game as soon as possible and enter Deep Desert for an even more exciting adventure! Good luck!

  • Dune Awakening Solo Spice Gathering Tips: How To Avoid Danger And Get More Loot?

    Posted: Jul 30, 2025

The most important tradeable item on Arrakis is spice. It’s essential for interstellar travel and one of the most important tradeable items between players, even surpassing Dune Awakening Solari.

Dune Awakening’s PvP isn’t very well-developed, but its PvE is quite entertaining. Many players have likely logged dozens or even hundreds of hours playing solo on this desert planet. For solo roamers, Deep desert is definitely a dangerous place. So, are there any good ways for solo players to gather spice?

Dune Awakening Solo Spice Gathering Tips: How To Avoid Danger And Get More Loot?

    The Usage Of Spice

Spice is produced during the evolution of sandworms, serving as their excrement. While spice has no effect on sandworms, their intense territoriality makes gathering spice in their territory a delicate matter. Sandworms swarm around every spice field in the game, and making excessive noise will attract them.

Although in the novels, spice has magical effects such as extending life, altering the mind, and even allowing users to see the future, in-game, it has only the following uses:

    • 1. It is used to unlock T6 technology and is one of the ingredients for T6 technology.
    • 2. Consuming spice in combat temporarily enhances various attributes.
    • 3. Addiction to spice can disrupt your stats and even cause hallucinations.

In the novels, spice is also essential for interstellar travel, boosting Guild Navigators’ computing power and helping them find the right direction. However, Dune Awakening currently lacks interstellar content, while if future DLC includes this aspect, spice will undoubtedly play a significant role.

Tips For Farming Spice In Solo Players

The difficulty of obtaining spice depends on your server. If your server isn’t overly crowded with PvP maniacs, Deep Desert is a safe zone. You can occasionally fly your ornithopter into the desert to explore unclaimed spice fields. If your server is more hostile, you’ll need to find other methods.

    Bring Only What You Need

Even with a group, gathering spice isn’t entirely risk-free, let alone solo. Before each spice harvest, evaluate whether any Dune Awakening items you’re carrying are too valuable. If you don’t want to lose them, leave them at base—if they’re not essential. Deep Desert is a dangerous place, and besides the larger and more numerous sandworms, the players are your actual concern.

    Say Hello In Chat

PvP areas are a bit like The Dark Forest; if you don’t speak, no one knows whether you’re the prey or the hunter. Therefore, sending a few friendly messages before entering an area, stating your purpose, can significantly reduce your chances of being attacked and may even lead to encountering a few solo players willing to join you.

Once the area becomes familiar to you, they’ll realize you’re not a threat and won’t bother you while you’re gathering spice. However, this won’t work with malicious players.

    Avoid Peak Hours

You know players aren’t always online. During the day, every server is inundated with players, and some guilds operate during these times. Entering Deep Desert during peak hours is dangerous, so if possible, log in early in the morning or late at night. During these times, there are fewer players, giving you almost exclusive access to Deep Desert. Also, avoid Saturdays and Sundays; gathering spice on weekdays is safer.

    Ornithopter

When searching for spice fields in Deep Desert, your best mode of transportation is Scout Ornithopter. They are fast and adept at evading pursuit. Also, fly as high as possible, ideally above 780 meters. Most players’ computers won’t render at this altitude, effectively making you invisible and giving you ample observation time.

If you find a particularly large spice field, land at the edge to collect the spice. These areas are often occupied by guilds, who may not fully harvest them, so landing at the edge won’t be considered a provocation. Remember to stay close to your ornithopter while gathering Dune Awakening spcie, as this can lead to a sudden attack and a quick retreat.

If you’re piloting Assault Ornithopter, you don’t need to equip it with weapon mods, as it can carry more items. Therefore, you should focus on medium and large spice fields.

    Equipment

To maximize your time in a spice field, your gear should focus on reducing noise and avoiding attracting sandworms. If you don’t have these, you can place a Thumper at a distance; it will make noise and attract worms, buying you more time to return to your Ornithopter.

Also, be sure to have plenty of water handy when collecting spice in the desert. You don’t want to die in a PvP zone because of a simple mistake, do you?

    PvE Zones

Spice can be found in the PvE areas of Deep Desert and in parts of Hagga Basin. These areas are small, so collecting them will take time, but they’ll keep you safe. Other players will also be gathering spice in these areas, so if you want to be the first to collect it, you can build a base nearby.

The above are some simple tips for single-player players to collect spices. Although Deep Desert is dangerous, it is not impossible to enter. If you avoid the crowds, you can still return with a full load here.

  • Dune Awakening Arrakeen & Harko Village: What Are the Functions Of These Two Social Hubs?

    Posted: Jul 29, 2025

In the world created by Dune Awakening, besides the dangerous desert, there are also important human living communities, some of which are PVP areas, some are mission scenes, and some have the function of social hubs.

Currently, the social hubs in Dune Awakening are Arrakeen and Harko Village, which are actually the main bases of the two major factions in the game, House Atreides and Harkonnen.

If you have joined a faction, it is necessary to fully understand the location and available functions of the corresponding social hub, which we will introduce to you below.

Dune Awakening Arrakeen & Harko Village: What Are the Functions Of These Two Social Hubs?

What Is Dune Awakening Social Hub?

Although the different factions may lead to different player groups served by the two social hubs in the game, their main functions are actually not very different.

In general, Dune Awakening social hubs are also economic, political and community centers, and are not PvP-oriented, so there is no need to worry about being attacked by other players.

In social hubs, you can safely and freely trade or store Dune Awakening items, accept contracts, and interact with NPCs and other players. In this way, you can experience important social fun in addition to combat and adventure gameplay in the game.

    Arrakeen

As the main base of House Atreides, Arrakeen is also the largest city of Arrakis. You can carry out necessary activities as a member of Atreides here, and you can also learn a lot about political dynamics.

    How To Travel To Arrakeen?

Although there are two ways to travel to Arrakeen in the game, they actually cannot do without riding an Ornithopter. If you don’t have your own Ornithopter, you need to hire a pilot to take you there.

Just head to the nearest outpost or tradepost, find the pilot standing in the corner to interact with him and give him 2500 Dune Awakening Solari, and he will take you to Arrakeen. The return trip is free.

Or if you are powerful enough to have a lot of materials saved up, or have access to resource farming, you can collect the following materials to craft an Ornithopter yourself:

    • Water x 57000 ml. (aprox.)
    • Aluminum x 241 Ingots (from Ores x1800)
    • 82 x Cobalt Paste (from Erythrite Crystal x 250)
    • 46 x Advanced Servoks
    • 22 x Particle Capacitors
    • 14 x Diamondine Dust
    • 8 x Industrial Pumps
    • 8 x Complex Machinery
    • 7 x Carbide Scraps

Other ways to craft an Ornithopter include collecting parts directly, or accumulating faction reputation and Solari, and then finding faction vendors to exchange parts. The steps to travel to Arrakeen by yourself in an Ornithopter are:

    • 1. Enter Ornithopter and fly to the edge of Hagga Basin. Any direction is fine, as long as you cross the border and enter the overland map.
    • 2. Once there, pan the map until you see Arrakeen in the upper right corner, east of Hagga Basin.
    • 3. Once you confirm your flight plan, you will be teleported immediately to the city.

    All Arrakeen NPCs

In addition to socializing and trading with real players, other social hub functions are based on the NPCs here, and each NPC provides different services. NPCs in Arrakeen include:

    • Justis Clagg: Barkeep vendor - Sells spiced food and simple clothing
    • Alastar Christian Chim: Barkeep vendor - Sells spiced food and simple clothing
    • Soha Sirrendrin: Base vendor - Sells unique furniture
    • Tidjii O’Garee: Scrap trader - Sells various crafting parts
    • Campos Demari: Spice vendor - Sells consumables that increase your spice usage level
    • Beatriz Luna: Vehicle vendor - Sells unique vehicle parts and other crafting materials
    • Daimo Sharawi: Water vendor - Sells water

    • Amarigo Mutelli: House Mutelli Representative - Gain House lore
    • Heldabor Deseo: House Varota Representative - Gain House lore
    • Vera Vogel: House Wallach Representative - Gain House lore

    Harko Village

As the other main social hub in the game, Harko Village functions and is accessed in much the same way as Arrakeen, with the main difference being the NPCs stationed there and their roles:

    • Anoushika Hannivar: Barkeep vendor - Sells spiced food and simple clothing
    • Harkonnen Acquisitor: Harkonnen vendor - Sells exclusive items to Harkonnen faction players
    • Ranya Sorvane: Scrap vendor - Sells various crafting parts
    • Ormuna Laaks: Base vendor - Sells unique furniture
    • Einar Maia: Spice vendor - Sells consumables that increase your spice usage level
    • Kahraman Reis: Vehicle vendor - Sells unique vehicle parts and other related crafting materials
    • Daimo Sharawi: Ajani Kassa - Sells water
    • Asmara Efendi: Weapons vendor - Sells weapons and armor
    • Jocasta Cleo: Advanced Bene Gesserit Trainer - Allows you to unlock and upgrade Bene Gesserit skills
    • Seron Varlin: Advanced Swordmaster Trainer - Allows you to unlock and upgrade Swordmaster skills
    • Velma Udec: Guild Bank - Stores Solari and items for you
    • Ehri Gan: Tax Collector - Post taxes for each of your sub-fiefs

It should be noted that when you talk to the trainer NPCs in the two social hubs, you will either be assigned a corresponding task to unlock a new skill, or you will be told that they cannot teach you anything new because you have already unlocked the relevant level.

The above is the main information about Arrakeen and Harko Village. I hope it will be helpful for you to play Dune: Awakening. Thank you for reading.

  • Dune Awakening Developers Respond To Player Loss: They Will Launch An Update In August

    Posted: Jul 24, 2025

Dune Awakening is currently in a weak state, and the number of people has shrunk a lot compared to when the game was first launched. There are various reasons for this, such as regional problems and network fluctuations in PVP and PVE, as well as some endless bugs.

But this does not mean that this is a terrible game. Even players who give critical reviews on Steam mostly admit that they have a pretty enjoyable experience in the early and middle stages of the game. The main reason is that players have experienced most of the content, so they left the game. It is unrealistic to tie hundreds of thousands of players to a game that is not mainly competitive for a long time, not to mention that Dune Awakening’s PVP is not good.

At present, the biggest task of Dune Awakening is to fill the content of the game, and fun is always the core of the game. So let’s take a look at what content Dune Awakening will have next.

Dune Awakening Developers Respond To Player Loss: They Will Launch An Update In August

    Wormriding

The mobile disaster in the desert, the giant sandworm, is the core of Arrakis culture in the original novel. Ecology, spices, and Fremen’s unique Wormriding are all centered on sandworms.

Both movie and novel fans will remember that Fremen can control these behemoths that are over than 400 meters long and use them as their means of transportation.

The developer said on social media that wormriding is one of their plans, but it is not yet clear what form this will take. For this feature, perhaps the map will also need to be adjusted.

    Player Base Raiding

The developer claims that this feature may be added. Within a few minutes after the sandstorm sweeps in, you can raid other players’ bases, which will increase the difficulty of survival in the deep desert. Even if you leave it in the base, your Dune Awakening items may not be preserved.

This is a more risky feature. The developer said that this will not be the focus of their update. The specific addition of this feature is still under discussion.

    Roadmap

Haha, sorry there is no updated roadmap, because the developers are still on vacation. Regarding the next update content, they will announce it in the next live broadcast. They also do not recommend players to invest all their time in this game. They encourage players to try other games during this time and wait for the next major update.

    Next Major Update

The next major update is Patch 1.1.20.0, which will arrive in August. The scale of the next update is similar to patch 1.1.10.0, and all updates in between are small patches such as hot fixes.

The update date of patch 1.1.10.0 is July 4, so even if it is optimistic, 1.1.20.0 will not appear until after August 4, and the focus of 1.1.20.0 will still be Deep Desert.

    DLC

The developers promised that they will release more DLC, and its content may be about Dune Awakening items such as accessories. The DLC news will be announced in advance and will not be delayed until the release. So at least for the next few weeks, or even months, there will be no DLC releases.

The good news is that they are not currently devoting their time to developing Conan Exiles 2, but are instead focusing on Dune Awakening, which at least ensures that the game’s updates will not be too slow.

    Don’t Cheat

As mentioned earlier, Dune Awakening has a lot of bugs, and some players use bugs to copy items to earn a lot of Dune Awakening Solari, which seriously disrupts the in-game economy. The developers warn not to try to cheat in this way, as they can track players’ inventory transactions and players with abnormalities will be banned.

I don’t know if they have this ability, because they posted on July 14, but there has been no announcement of large-scale bans so far.

Dune Awakening Solari Hot Sale At IGGM.com

    Building Contest

As of July 28, a Dune Awakening building contest is currently being held, and each player can submit a work. Up to 20 pictures or a video of less than 2 minutes. Players can upload their creations to the following platforms and use the hashtags #DuneAwakening and @duneawakening to submit your creations:

    • X (Twitter)
    • BlueSky
    • Instagram

This building competition will select three champions and six runners-up, and the list of winners will be announced on August 8.

    • First prize: LEGO Dune Atreides Royal Ornithopter and Atreides Battle Rifle skin (in-game)
    • Second prize: Dune: Awakening Collector’s box from Madrinas and Atreides Battle Rifle skin (in-game)

The above is the update content and news of Dune Awakening in the future. In general, there is not much content. The developer recommends that players take a break, log in once a week to maintain the base and offer taxes to the empire on time (damn empire). Many players have already left this game. Without maintenance, the base will soon be damaged and swallowed by the desert. If you still remember your home in this desert, then remember to log in from time to time.

  • Dune Awakening Useful Tier 5 Items: Where To Find Their Schematics?

    Posted: Jul 23, 2025

The best items in Dune Awakening are basically concentrated in Deep Desert, but this area is very dangerous and there are many players with bad intentions entrenched here. Well, if you don’t want to get involved in the mess of PvP, then just being a PvE player can also make you feel that the money is worth it.

Some latecomers are not progressing as fast. Many players are still exploring Hagga Basin and the front of Deep Desert. These areas hide various useful Dune Awakening items. Here, T5 items are basically the best items. There are many choices for each type of T5 items in the game, and they are not all very useful. In order to avoid wasting your materials, the following are some useful T5 items for your reference.

Dune Awakening Useful Tier 5 Items: Where To Find Their Schematics?

    Advanced Suspensor Jacket

    • Duraluminum Ingot*40
    • Plasteel Microflora Fiber*20
    • Silicone Block*39
    • Sandtrout Leathers*8
    • Spice-infused Duraluminum Dust*12
    • Water*450

Advanced Suspensor Jacket is a light armor with an armor value of 236, which is in the middle range among the same type of light armor. You need to go to the various shipwrecks in the A area of Deep Desert to find it. It can extend the time that the suspensor belt allows you to suspend, and it can also reduce the power consumption of the belt, which is more suitable for use when exploring in the wild.

    Albatross Wing Module Mk5

    • Duraluminum Ingot*20
    • Advanced Servoks*13
    • Cobalt Paste*10
    • Spice-infused Duraluminum Dust*7
    • Industrial Pump*5
    • Water*250

Albatross Wing Module Mk5 sacrifices mobility for speed, allowing you to climb and move forward faster, and is a must-have for almost every non-combat light ornithopter. Its schematics are located at Imperial Testing Station 186 and 217 in Area A of Deep Desert.

    Batigh Stillsuit Garment

    • Duraluminum Ingot*40
    • Micro-sandwich Fabric*50
    • Silicone Block*89
    • Stillsuit Tubing*12
    • Spice-infused Duraluminum Dust*17
    • Water*675

While this suit can increase Hydration Capture, it doesn’t actually give you much water. The advantage of this suit is that it provides a bit more armor than Mercenary Stillsuit Body, and the heat protection is just as strong, allowing you to hang out in the sun for a long time. Its schematics are located in the wrecks in areas A1 and A5.

    Filter Extractor Mk5

    • Duraluminum Ingot*37
    • EMF Generator*14
    • Industrial Pump*8
    • Cobalt Paste*18
    • Spice-infused Duraluminum Dust*12
    • Water*450

Filter Extractor Mk5 is Another useful tool for keeping you hydrated, but this one is more combat-oriented. You can use it to extract up to 250ml of water from an enemy, which isn’t much, but it’s enough to keep you hydrated in battle.

The extraction efficiency of Filter Extractor Mk5 is 55%, while that of Blood Extractor Mk6 is 60%. It can be said that the difference between the two is very small, and Filter Extractor Mk5 requires less materials. Its schematic diagram is located at Imperial Testing Station in A4 and A5.

    Bigger Buggy Boot Mk5

    • Duraluminum Ingot*85
    • Advanced Servoks*25
    • Cobalt Paste*25
    • Spice-infused Duraluminum Dust*19
    • Water*1010

Its function is as straightforward as its name suggests, just a larger trunk. The maximum capacity of Bigger Buggy Boot Mk5 is 2750, which is 250 more than the capacity and armor value of Buggy Storage Mk5.

The larger capacity allows you to carry more Dune Awakening items, which can save time, and this large capacity basically meets all your needs outside of Deep Desert area. Its schematics are located in Edge of Acheron in the southeast of Hagga Basin.

    Bluddshot Buggy Engine Mk5

    • Duraluminum Ingot*85
    • Cobalt Paste*40
    • Particle Capacitor*25
    • Complex Machinery*36
    • Spice-infused Duraluminum Dust*26
    • Hydraulic Piston*13
    • Water*1010

Under normal circumstances, Bluddshot Buggy Engine Mk5 and Buggy Engine Mk5 may not be much different, but when you are climbing in the desert, you can feel that Bluddshot Buggy Engine Mk5 can provide you with greater acceleration. This is especially important in the desert, and it can often help you escape from quicksand or avoid sandworms.

Bluddshot Buggy Engine Mk5 is also located in the southeast of Hagga Basin, specifically in Wreck of the Euporia and Wreck of the Delphis.

    Buoyant Reaper Mk5

    • Duraluminum Ingot*28
    • EMF Generator*21
    • Silicone Block*40
    • Spice-infused Duraluminum Dust*12
    • Water*450

Buoyant Reaper Mk5 allows you to collect more water from a dew field, and more importantly, it is very efficient, and you can get a dew field in just a few seconds. Its schematic can only be found in the southeast of Hagga Basin. If you think it is troublesome, you can also go to the exchange to trade it directly with Dune Awakening Solari.

    Compact Compactor Mk5

    • Duraluminum Ingot*37
    • EMF Generator*20
    • Silicone Block*40
    • Cobalt Paste*18
    • Thermoelectric Cooler*6
    • Spice-infused Duraluminum Dust*12
    • Water*450

Compact Compactor Mk5 allows you to collect spices very safely. Not only does it collect more spice than the Industrial Static Compactor, it also makes less noise and will not attract any giant sandworms until you have completed a middle spice field, making it a must-have unique item until you reach Mk 6. Its schematics are located at Imperial Testing Stations in A2 and A3.

The above are some useful T5 tools in Dune Awakening. Compared with the combat part, collection and crafting may be more important part of this game. Finding the right tools can make your survival process more enjoyable.
