  • Borderlands 4 October 23 Patch Notes | Horrors Of Kairos Event, Legendary Weapon Buffs & Major Bug Fixes

    Posted: Oct 24, 2025

Hello Vault Hunters! The week-long delayed Borderlands 4 patch is finally here. This patch is packed with content, including bug fixes and the Horrors of Kairos event.

So, what does the October 23rd patch bring to Vault Hunters? What Legendary weapons have been buffed? Horrors of Kairos introduces two new Legendary weapons - how can you obtain them? Let's take a look.

Borderlands 4 October 23 Patch Notes | Horrors Of Kairos Event, Legendary Weapon Buffs & Major Bug Fixes

    Vault Hunter Balance Adjustments

    Harlowe The Gravitar

First, fixed a bug that caused a significant frame rate drop, and Pencils Down class mod no longer rolls +6, now +5. Gun damage buff of Harlowe now applies to Ripper Heavy Weapon and Entanglement. Neutron Capture's damage type has been changed from gun damage to radiation damage, which is a significant nerf.

    Amon The Forgeknight

Amon has received several bug fixes this time, including issues with the cooldown of Onslaught in multiplayer and the frequency of Rocket Punch. Shield visual effects have also been adjusted to improve clarity in combat.

This update focuses on Amon's abilities, which have generally received buffs:

    • Each stack now lasts 4 seconds, and all stacks are lost if a kill is not achieved within that time.
    • Blackout: Fixed a bug where it could only invest 1 point, now it can invest 5 points. However, the damage per point has been reduced from 21% to 15%, but overall it's still a buff.

    Vex The Siren

Before the patch, Bleed Vex was the simplest, yet most disruptive, build. This patch fixes a bug that caused Bleed effects to recursively stack, causing infinite damage. As expected, this build's damage will be significantly reduced, but she can still use abilities like Witchy Trigger Finger and Torgue Stickies work together to deal high damage.

To complement this, the damage and duration of Double Trouble Icon and Apex Beast in Here Comes Trouble (Red Tree) have been increased, but this buff won't significantly change the build, since its core issues lie in AI and tracking speed.

    Rafa The Exo-Soldier

The free grenades dropped by Rafa's Legendary COM now deal the correct amount of damage. APOPHIS Lance skill's penalty has been changed from affecting Gun Handling to affecting Gun Accuracy, no longer affecting Projectile Speed, and now benefits from Cooldown Reduction.

In addition to the above changes, Class Mods have received comprehensive buffs, particularly those related to melee damage and melee shields. Notably, Groundbreaker now only stores damage from guns, action skills, and heavy weapons, and no longer stores damage over time, which fixes a recursive damage loop that could cause infinite stacking damage.

    Gear Adjustments

Borderlands 4's guns have received a number of adjustments. Improving gun handling skills now actually increases projectile speed, and several bugs that could trigger infinite ammo have been fixed. Notably, assault rifles have received a comprehensive buff:

    • Star Helix: Fire rate +33%.
    • Bonnie and Clyde: Base damage +40%.
    • Pair of Thieves: Bonus damage increased from +100% to +150%.
    • Bugbear: Base damage +40%; Special ability damage +100% to +200%.
    • Rowan's Charge: Fire rate +100% and slightly reduced recoil.
    • Lucian's Flank: Lucian's Flank now has +50% base damage and reduced recoil.
    • Aegon's Dream: Base damage +35%.
    • Jakobs Crit Knife: Critical hit chance reduced to 30%.

    Horrors Of Kairos

    • Date: October 23rd - November 6th.
    • New Equipment: Murmur Legendary Tediore Assault Rifle and Skully Legendary Order Grenade
    • Horrors of Kairos SHIFT Redemption Code: 3S6BB-ZXT93-KRT3W-BT3T3-JW6TZ

These two new weapons can be obtained as loot from World Bosses on Kairos. Since this event is limited-time, we recommend participating in Horrors of Kairos event first to obtain these weapons.

    General Improvements And Bug Fixes

    Progression, Loot, And Rewards

    • Eridium Reduced: Specialization requirement reduced from 5000 to 1500.
    • Boss Drops: Added loot for certain bosses that previously did not drop loot.
    • Collectibles: Fixed a bug where not all ECHO logs could be collected. The associated cosmetics will now be unlocked. (Cosmetic).
    • Gear Handling: Improved handling of gear that unlocks rewards while driving.
    • Lost Loot Machine: Now prioritizes higher rarity items.
    • Cash Drops: Loot Enemies now drop more Borderlands 4 money.
    • Golden Chest: Fixed a bug where it could not be opened even with a key.
    • Achievements & Soft Locks: Fixed issues with some achievements not unlocking and some minor soft locks.

    Gameplay & Missions

    • Black Market Vendor: Now functions properly in multiplayer.
    • Legendary Vending Machine: No longer unexpectedly closes during Vend of the Line mission.

    Weekly Activities

    • Big Encore Machine: Moved to Ripper Drill location in Battle Wagon, allowing you to farm special weapons like Bugbear and Finnity XXX-L.
    • This week's Wild Card changes: Rewards the legendary weapon Kickballer (repeatable).
    • Black Market Vendor: Relocated and new items added, making each player's inventory unique.

This Borderlands 4 patch is a massive balance overhaul and bug fix. The focus is on nerfing overpowered skill combos and weapon interactions, while also buffing underperforming weapons and skills, and fixing numerous bugs that impacted gameplay. While some top builds have been nerfed, these improvements, along with numerous bug fixes, may allow some previously underperforming builds to enter the new meta.

  • Borderlands 4 Vivisecting Throwing Knife Farming Guide | Best Drop Locations, Stats & Boss-Melting Build Tips

    Posted: Oct 04, 2025

As a shooter-adventure game, Borderlands 4 features a unique weapon component system, offering billions of guns, each with its own strengths, weaknesses, and special effects depending on its components and manufacturer.

Therefore, choosing the right weapon for each combat scenario is key to survival, especially on higher difficulty levels.

    About Vivisecting Throwing Knife

Vivisecting Throwing Knife is a powerful Legendary weapon in Borderlands 4. It converts all damage you deal to your target into critical hits for a short period of time, significantly increasing your damage.

Vivisecting Throwing Knife is highly sought after for its Penetrator Augment, making it a key weapon for Vex Siren class, dealing infinite damage. When combined with Vex Siren's passive ability, it can stack bleed damage, continuously dealing critical hits to enemies and their other status effects, quickly melting bosses.

Not only that, but this knife is also very effective for other classes, as it can convert any damage into a critical hit, eliminating the need to use a specific critical hit skill.

This knife is an extremely rare purple drop, making it difficult to find. However, here we'll show you several viable ways to obtain the Vivisecting Throwing Knife and the best gameplay strategies for this legendary weapon, allowing you to fully utilize its power. So, let's get started.

Borderlands 4 Vivisecting Throwing Knife Farming Guide | Best Drop Locations, Stats & Boss-Melting Build Tips

How To Farm Vivisecting Throwing Knife?

    The Pitted Stain Drill Site

First and foremost, the primary location for farming Vivisecting Throwing Knife is Pitted Stain Drill Site, located west of Fortress Indomita.

This location boasts a high enemy density and fast respawn rates, allowing you to quickly farm purple items. What's more, you can also obtain this legendary knife by defeating the three bosses within Drill Site.

However, please note that Vivisecting Throwing Knife is not a guaranteed drop from a specific boss. These bosses simply have a higher chance of dropping purple items than mobs.

If you're looking to eliminate a large number of enemies in a small area and get purple items, then the specific Drill Site at Pitted Stain is ideal for farming.

    Splashzone Boss

However, there are several other locations in Borderlands 4 where you can also farm purple items. One of these is Splashzone boss in Riptide Grotto.

Splashzone is a boss fight during the main quest, Recruitment Drive. However, after completing that quest, Splashzone can be farmed again. Players simply return to the location and spend some Borderlands 4 money at Moxxi's Big Encore Machine near the boss arena entrance to respawn the boss.

Typically, it only takes about two seconds to kill Splashzone. If you have a friend, you can even farm purple items in co-op. Since the boss respawns instantly, you can farm as much as possible without slowing down the game, which is crucial for increasing your chances of dropping Vivisecting Throwing Knife and higher-quality weapons. Even if you're just playing solo, you can farm until the knife drops.

However, this farming process can be a bit tedious. If you're looking for a change of pace, you can also obtain Vivisecting Throwing Knife through the following method.

    Red Chests

Alternatively, if you want to obtain the knife from Red Chests, you can start farming in the area near Vault Fragment in Stillshore, located in the lower left corner of the map. Red Chests typically have a higher chance of dropping purple and legendary items.

First, you must ensure that the nearby checkpoint or safe point is activated. Then, head to the locked chest and kill all enemies in the area, including any spawned Badass enemies. Once all enemies are defeated, Red Chest will unlock and can be looted.

The next key step is to pause the game and exit the main menu. Reloading the game will respawn at the activated checkpoint, with the enemies and Red Chest reset and ready for another round of looting.

    Bounty Board

There's actually a fourth way to unlock Vivisecting Throwing Knife.

If you want to quickly level up while farming, you can also visit Makeshift Chalet Bounty Board. However, you need to complete the game and unlock Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode before you can start taking on bounties.

Next, you need to go to Makeshift Chalet Safehouse and then look for a purple bounty on Bounty Board. If there isn't one, log out and log back in until you get one.

Bounties are usually located very close to Safehouse, and completing them is a great way to gain XP and level up quickly, especially Vile Bounties, which even have a chance to drop valuable Legendary-tier gear.

Why Is Vivisecting Throwing Knife So Important?

Now that you know how to get Vivisecting Throwing Knife, I want to quickly explain the theoretical purpose of this knife and why everyone is so eager to find it.

This is largely because of its Damage Amp Payload modifier, which increases the damage dealt to targets hit by 15% for 5 seconds. Furthermore, there's Penetrator Augment, which automatically critically impacts targets hit within 5 seconds.

Simply put, during these 5 seconds, you'll only critically affect enemies, meaning you'll absolutely destroy them regardless of your weapon. So, simply keep throwing your knife at your enemies and landing critical hits - you don't even have to aim for the head.

As a result, a build using Vivisecting Throwing Knife can melt even the most powerful final bosses in seconds, making the game incredibly easy for its users.

The knife's ability to critically impact all damage effectively bypasses Vault Hunter's critical hit abilities and perks, rendering them ineffective. More importantly, it provides an interesting and challenging way to deal damage, offering an immediate alternative to the slow-exploding grenades.

In short, the sheer power of Vivisecting Throwing Knife renders most other grenade or Ordnance options obsolete, as its rapid cooldown and immediate, massive damage potential completely outclass them.

So if you're planning a boss-killing build, this Legendary Knife is a must-have! If you don't want to be stuck in a farming cycle, you can also buy cheap and fast delivery Borderlands 4 Vivisecting Throwing Knife from IGGM.com and enjoy the thrill of melting bosses right away!

  • Borderlands 4 Best Legendary Loot Farming Spot To Make Huge Money

    Posted: Sep 17, 2025

Surviving in Borderlands 4 requires spending money, whether you're equipping guns, weapons, and ammunition to improve your combat abilities, reskilling your build with skill resets, or stocking up on vending machines.

So, how do you earn enough Borderlands 4 money? There are many ways, but the fastest way to accumulate cash is undoubtedly by selling items directly to vendors. Legendary weapons in particular are often valuable and remain hidden treasures in the game.

Here, we'll show you the best spots to farm Legendary weapons and make some quick cash.

Borderlands 4 Best Legendary Loot Farming Spot To Make Huge Money

    Travel To Abandoned Post Safehouse

First and foremost, this spot is great not only because you can farm Borderlands 4 weapons, but also because it's located near Abandoned Post, where you can sell all your unwanted items.

Abandoned Post is the first Safehouse you'll find during BL4 main quest. Capturing this location expands your fast travel network.

Now, once you reach Safehouse, you'll see a red treasure chest. Opening it has a chance to drop some loot. You can farm these chests, but the rewards aren't optimal at this point.

Getting Ready - Restock Food & Get A Vehicle

Also, before you go there, you can restock your food, as at this stage in the game, you don't have a vehicle yet. So, you can't drive there. You'll have to run or walk to get there.

Now, I strongly recommend that before you begin this farming, you first obtain your first vehicle by completing Borderlands 4's third main quest, Down and Outbound. This is an extremely easy early-game quest.

This vehicle will become available immediately after the initial quest, Recruitment Drive. Players can use the vehicle anywhere on the map by pressing the X key on the keyboard and the left directional button on the controller.

Note that these available vehicles have limited health, and their swappable rockets and turrets aren't the best at counterattacks. However, with their boost, jumps, and drift-gliding abilities, they're perfect for high-speed adventures around the map.

Of course, you can unlock other vehicles through story missions and challenges, but these are purely cosmetic and offer no performance difference beyond the visuals.

    Select Difficulty (Hard Mode Recommended)

Now, you can choose between Hard and Normal mode to begin farming. If you'd like to change the difficulty, simply open the menu, then choose Session Settings. Here, you can select a different mode. I chose Hard mode because it gives you better loot and XP.

    Reaching Stillshore Checkpoint

Now, the first thing you need to do is head southwest of the Abandoned Post Safehouse and find Stillshore point of interest. Once you drive in this direction, you'll see this checkpoint. This way, you can respawn here whenever you restart.

Defeat The Boss, Open The Chest And Repeat!

Now, once we reach this area, we'll quickly find the treasure chest, but before that, you'll need to fight the enemies here, as there's a mini-boss guarding it. It's worth noting that the bosses here aren't always the same, but they're all pretty easy to defeat, regardless of whether you're playing on Hard or Normal.

After defeating the boss, we can open the treasure chest and collect the loot. Once we've collected the loot, open the menu, click Quit Game, and then Quit to Main Menu. Once you return, click Continue, and as mentioned earlier, you'll respawn near this checkpoint.

After respawning, we can return to the treasure chest. Once we've killed the boss, we can open the treasure chest again and loot all the loot.

You can repeat this process over and over again until you get the legendary weapon you need.

    Fishing

Also, why do we keep emphasizing this as a great place to farm monsters? It's because there's something else you can do here: you can fish in the nearby waters.

When you see Hook symbol here, cast it immediately. With each cast, it will return something, whether it's a weapon, equipment like grenades, or just some junk. So if your treasure chest farming is getting a bit boring, try your luck here; you might just find something lucrative!

Sell All Your Unwanted Items At Vending Machine

Now, once you've completed enough quests in this area, you'll have a lot of loot. Your inventory will probably be overflowing with unwanted items, including common items, underpowered mods, or any gear you no longer need. Luckily, you can easily manage these items by marking them as junk.

All we have to do is return to the map and quickly travel to the Safehouse, where you'll find a vending machine. All you have to do is go there and sell all your unwanted items at the vending machine, and that's how you'll earn a ton of Borderlands 4 cash.

Selling items individually is a hassle! Here's a quick fix: After marking an item as junk, simply press Q to sell it. However, I must warn you, always double-check before selling. Don't accidentally click the Sell All Junk button and lose your precious weapon, so be careful!

Once you've sold all the excess items in your inventory, you can return to the farming location and hopefully, you'll get enough legendary items! Good luck!

  • Borderlands 4 Complete Side Quest Meat Is Murder To Unlock Rewards

    Posted: Sep 13, 2025

Although Borderlands 4 is a shooter, as part of the broader Borderlands series, it also boasts a comprehensive and exciting story. As Vault Hunters, you must journey to the planet Kairos to uncover its secrets while constantly fighting and growing stronger.

Thus, in addition to specific combat modes, you'll also need to complete multiple quests in the game to advance the story. Of course, completing them will also earn you rewards, such as different types of Borderlands 4 money or more powerful weapons.

With this in mind, this time we'll provide a walkthrough for Meat is Murder quest and the specific rewards it offers.

Borderlands 4 Complete Side Quest Meat Is Murder To Unlock Rewards

Where To Accept And Begin This Quest?

For Meat is Murder quest, everything begins on a farm. From there, you'll investigate a dangerous serial killer. To do this, you'll need to head to Harper's Hideaway in Fadefields region after completing the prerequisite quest, "Recruitment Drive."

This location is located northwest of Abandoned Outpost base, making it both remote and treacherous. Therefore, we recommend that you obtain sufficiently powerful gear and a vehicle before embarking on Meat is Murder quest.

    Meat Is Murder Prequel

If you're ready, head to the designated location and clear the enemies inside and outside the barn. Then, look to the right of the barn entrance and destroy the beam blocking the door, then speak to NPC Byron inside.

Byron will tell you a long, tragic story about how his cousin was murdered. You must listen to the entire story and not skip ahead. He will then ask for your help in finding his cousin's murderer, marking the official start of Meat is Murder.

    How To Complete This Quest?

This quest can be tricky because neither the system nor Byron will provide you with quest markers or additional hints. You must explore the barn to find the four objectives on your own. But don't worry, we've listed them for you:

    • The ripper vehicle on the left side of the barn.
    • The scoreboard in the southeast corner, to the left of the barn entrance.
    • The dismembered body parts on the table in front of the meat grinder inside the barn.
    • Animal carcasses at the barn entrance.

After finding four pieces of evidence at these locations, you'll need to interact with the radio on the table next to the dismembered body parts, which will lead to a monologue from the killer. Byron will then ask you to shut down the meat grinder and free his cousin's remains.

But when you try to shut down the machine, you'll discover it's malfunctioning. To do this, you'll need to head to the back of the barn and blow up the coolant regulator. To do this, follow these steps:

    • 1. Exit the barn through the door to the right of the meat grinder.
    • 2. Approach the coolant tank from either side.
    • 3. Open the hatch and either shoot the coolant regulator or throw a grenade to destroy it.
    • 4. Repeat on the other side.

After returning to the barn, you'll be able to free the remains of Byron's cousin Harper's body, but more Rippers will appear, requiring you to defeat them quickly.

Next, head to the tool shop in the heart of Fadefields, south of Fishing Spot point of interest. You'll find a wandering NPC outside the shop. Talking to him will help you restock your ammunition.

Find The Quest Boss Inside The Cave

After restocking your ammunition, continue north to Plungeford, a large Ripper encampment. Next, find the waterfall at the top of the settlement, where you'll find a cave.

Upon entering the cave, you'll first be greeted by many rippers. If you're short on XP, you can kill them to earn it, but otherwise, skip the battle to avoid wasting time.

After getting past the rippers, you'll find a man named Zeke in the cave. While he's not the actual killer of Harper, he's a loyal follower of the killer and the final boss of the quest. After defeating him, listen to the announcement during the scene to complete the quest.

    What Rewards Are Available?

In addition to experience points, completing the quest will earn you two different in-game currencies: cash and Eridium, as well as a pistol of random rarity. The higher your level at which you complete the quest, the more EXP and currency you'll earn.

It's worth noting that some quests in Borderlands 4 can be farmed repeatedly for rewards, including Meat is Murder. To complete it again, follow these steps:

    • 1. Open ECHO-4 menu.
    • 2. Find Missions tab.
    • 3. Select Meat is Murder in Re-playable Missions section.

    How To Store Extra Gear?

Since your character's backpack has limited space in the game, it's generally recommended to find a bank machine and deposit any gear you already have in your backpack to avoid being stuck with a full backpack and unable to pick up new gear.

If you have multiple characters in your Borderlands 4 account, they can share the gear stored in the bank machine. Switch characters to view and claim the gear.

Also, it's recommended to store valuable gear only in the bank that you won't be using in the short term. Any useless gear can be sold for currency or other benefits. Currently available in-game bank machines are located at:

    • The Launchpad
    • Carcadia
    • Belton's Bore
    • Bones of Sanctuary

That's all for this update. Borderlands 4 has already been launched on September 12, 2025! If you're planning to play, these tips must be helpful!
