For many baseball players, the upcoming MLB The Show 25 is one of the most anticipated things. It is expected to bring some unprecedented innovative features and is committed to creating a more realistic and immersive gaming experience. Players hope to feel the charm and passion of professional baseball more deeply through this new game.
When Will It Be Released?
Although the specific release date has not yet been determined, based on the release time of previous MLB The Show series games, we can have a rough prediction of its release time. MLB The Show 25 is expected to be released on March 18, 2025, and players can start prior experience on March 15.
MLB The Show 25 is expected to be released in five versions, including Standard, MVP, Digital Deluxe, and Negro Leagues edition. It is expected that the prices and benefits of different versions may vary, such as early access, Stubs, Show Packs, a Cover Athlete item, and some collectibles. The most expensive version will offer more generous benefits and more MLB The Show 25 Stubs.

Cover Athlete Predictions
Although the cover of MLB The Show 25 has not yet been announced, Shohei Ohtani is undoubtedly an ideal choice in all aspects. As one of the best players in MLB, Shohei Ohtani just finished a historic season and finally won the first World Series championship of his career. Considering his outstanding performance on the field and huge market influence, it would be very appropriate for Shohei Ohtani to be the cover of this game.
In the past few years, the cover character selection of MLB The Show series has sometimes failed to meet the expectations of fans, causing some fans to express dissatisfaction.
However, if Shohei Ohtani is chosen as the cover character this year, it will undoubtedly greatly enhance the publicity and appeal of the game. We also look forward to the official revealing more news about the cover athlete of MLB The Show 25 as soon as possible.
Game Modes Improvements
In the upcoming MLB The Show 25, the highly anticipated Diamond Dynasty, Franchise, Road to the Show, March to October, and Storylines modes are likely to return. Based on current information, at least some of these modes will undergo some updates and changes to enhance the player’s experience and make them more realistic.
Fans are particularly looking forward to seeing major changes to Franchise and Road to the Show modes, adding new features and addressing issues that existed in previous versions. For Diamond Dynasty, while minor improvements are expected, there is also the possibility of the introduction of new sub-modes to bring more fun and challenges to players.
In short, we can’t wait to see how this new game will once again set a higher standard for the entire series and bring players and fans an unforgettable baseball experience.

MLB The Show 25 Diamond Dynasty Updates, 2025 Finest Cards And 10th Inning Program | It's Time To Return!
Among all the latest installments in the sports video simulation game series released this year, MLB The Show 25 was one of the earlier releases, officially launching on March 18th.
This led to a decline in MLB 25's popularity and players' engagement as the end-of-year 2025 approached, compared to other sports games like FC 26. However, this trend seems to be changing recently, suggesting it's time to return to the virtual baseball field!
This prediction from us is based on a comprehensive analysis of both the organization of real-world baseball leagues and in-game updates. We will now provide a detailed introduction.

2025 World Series Winner Decided
As one of the biggest baseball tournaments of the year, 2025 World Series concluded on November 1st, and unsurprisingly, the winner was once again the familiar powerhouse, Los Angeles Dodgers.
In fact, even before the series began, a craze for predicting winners using virtual matches swept through MLB 25 player community, causing the game's popularity to rebound at the end of October.
Therefore, to capitalize on this momentum, MLB The Show 25 will release more playable content for its main modes in addition to its regular programs, aiming to maintain this momentum until at least the end of 2025.
2025 Finest Brings More Players
Finest can be considered the annual event of MLB The Show series, designed to release exclusive cards to commemorate and recognize outstanding MLB players of the year.
Based on this, the game will launch more programs or other events in the coming period, setting these Finest cards as event rewards to incentivize your participation.
This way, you can add powerful players or players who fit your team's style to your roster, utilize them until the end of the year, and earn more MLB The Show 25 Stubs by playing competitive modes like Diamond Dynasty.
It's worth noting that 2025 Finest player cards will feature more refined card designs than ever before, aiming to visually reflect the value of each player.
2025 Finest players announced so far (October 31st) include:
- José Altuve - Houston Astros
 - José Ramírez - Cleveland Guardians
 - Juan Soto - New York Mets
 - Nick Kurtz - Oakland Athletics
 - Aroldis Chapman - Boston Red Sox

More 2025 Finest players will be announced later, and most will likely be captain cards. This means acquiring them will not only enrich your player collection but also provide additional benefits during matches.
More Diamond Dynasty Updates
In addition to more available players, Diamond Dynasty itself will also see a series of changes, such as the addition of Negro Leagues Collection. In this collection, you can collect lower-level cards for all players to unlock the final OVR 99 version.
This year, MLB 25 added Negro Leagues players to Storylines mode. You can unlock their exclusive stories to obtain corresponding Diamond Dynasty cards. The new collection further enhances the value of these players.
Notably, Buck Leonard is the captain of the entire Negro Leagues series. If you unlock him and add him and any other players from the same series to your team, he will provide attribute boosts to the others.
Team Affinity Update
As part of Diamond Dynasty gameplay, all 30 teams in Team Affinity now have a new legends and flashbacks collection, which you can find in the corresponding Team Affinity folder.
After collecting all the new collection cards for any team (10 cards from each collection), you will receive 100,000 Team Affinity points for that team, giving you a chance to unlock 2025 All-Star Team Affinity Voucher pack.
Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to earn more free card packs, such as Ballin' packs or Headliner packs.
Participate In 10th Inning Program
A selection of 2025 Finest players already released are rewards from this program, so don't miss out! 10th Inning Program has already launched on October 31st and is expected to last approximately 21 days in the game.
This program brings three OVR 99 Cornerstone Evolution cards: Nolan Ryan, Cal Ripken Jr., and Frank Thomas. There are also boss card packs and 2025 Finest player rewards.
Unlike previous programs, to earn 10th Inning Program rewards, you can aim for them with your efforts, rather than completing a large number of repetitive Moments or other low-level challenges.
To obtain Cornerstone Evolution cards, simply complete the following conditions:
- Cal Ripken Jr. - Earn 15,000 XP
 - Frank Thomas - Earn 36,000 XP
 - Nolan Ryan - Earn 70,000 XP

After accumulating over 500,000 live series cards, you can redeem them for 2025 Finest José Altuve in this program. Several other 2025 Finest player cards will appear as boss pack rewards:
- Aroldis Chapman
 - Nick Kurtz
 - Juan Soto

You need to earn 190,000 XP before the end of 10th Inning Program to unlock all boss packs, including the final pack, and at least 100,000 XP to obtain one.
Note that if you previously participated in 9th Inning Boss Exchange and completed five exchanges, you can directly unlock a boss pack in 10th Inning Program.
That concludes this introduction. If you think all of these combined are enough to entice you to return to MLB The Show 25, then act now!

MLB The Show 25 Simulation Of 2025 World Series & ALCS Program Rewards Guide
FC 26 has undoubtedly been a hot topic in the recent sports game market, but with the start of 2025 World Series, MLB The Show 25 has once again garnered attention.
While the game itself continues to focus on releasing new programs, its simulations of 2025 World Series matches serve as a useful tool for predicting the outcome of the games. This may make you want to return.
While the results aren't guaranteed to be accurate, they're compelling enough for fans to watch.
Below, we'll outline MLB 25's simulations and predictions of the game's outcome, building on our introduction to 2025 World Series.

About 2025 World Series
The tournament began on October 24th and will run until November 1st. The championship will be decided between Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays.
During the series, a matchup will be held daily, with the venue rotating between the two teams' home bases. It's worth noting that Toronto Blue Jays won the October 24th match.
More game schedules are as follows:
- October 24: Rogers Centre - 8:00 p.m. ET.
 - October 25: Rogers Centre - 8:00 p.m. ET.
 - October 27: Dodger Stadium - 8:00 p.m. ET.
 - October 28: Dodger Stadium - 8:00 p.m. ET.
 - October 29: Dodger Stadium - 8:00 p.m. ET.
 - October 31: Rogers Centre - 8:00 p.m. ET.
 - November 1: Rogers Centre - 8:00 p.m. ET.

Although Toronto Blue Jays won once, there's no telling who will be lucky next time! All you can do as a fan is stay up to date with the latest game results or make your predictions in MLB The Show 25.
How To Simulate In MLB 25?
You can find players for both teams directly in Franchise or Postseason mode, then play the two teams and predict the real-world 2025 World Series champion based on their performance and results.
Because team rotations and starting lineups may change from game to game, simulations in the game are based only on the lineups used in real-world matches between the two teams over the past month or two - they have only met three times in the regular season.
2025 World Series is a best-of-seven format, so you can simulate three series games using the lineups from the three regular-season games and then complete the remaining four simulations based on the simulated results.
Or, if you have more time, you can combine the most recent real-world series lineups and results as of October 24th with the regular-season data to simulate the series.
Here are our selected simulated lineups and predicted results (excluding the already concluded first game):
- Game 1: Dodgers 3, Blue Jays 1 - W: Shohei Ohtani, L: Kevin John Gausman
 - Game 2: Blue Jays 9, Dodgers 10 - W: Kirby Yates, L: Joe Mantiply
 - Game 3: Blue Jays 6, Dodgers 5 - W: Luis García, L: Brusdar Graterol
 - Game 4: Blue Jays 6, Dodgers 7 - W: Kirby Yates, L: Trey Yesavage
 - Final Champion: Los Angeles Dodgers

While the predicted winner is a familiar strong team, the results generated by the combination of data and AI are only for fun reference; anything can happen in real baseball.
What Else Can You Play In MLB 25 Recently?
If you're not interested in running your own simulations and just want to see the predictions, the above content is enough for your reference. But don't leave MLB 25 just yet, even if other games are tempting you. The new ALCS Program launched on October 23rd!
Thanks to Toronto Blue Jays' victory over Seattle Mariners in Game 7 of ALCS, Blue Jays qualified for 2025 World Series.
In that game, Blue Jays player George Springer contributed greatly to the team, and his player card became the ultimate prize in ALCS Program.
How To Obtain ALCS Program Rewards?
To earn all program rewards, you must earn 50 stars by completing the following Moments:
- 1,000 PXP with Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays players - 20 stars
 - 500 PXP with ALCS Program players - 10 stars
 - 25 Total Bases with any player - 10 stars
 - 3 Home Runs with Blue Jays players - 5 stars
 - 10 Strikeouts with Blue Jays pitchers - 5 stars
 - 7 Strikeouts with Mariners pitchers - 5 stars
 - 4 Home Runs with Mariners players - 5 stars

All rewards are as follows:
- 1,000 MLB 25 Stubs
 - 10,000 XP
 - Matt Brash
 - Andres Gimenez
 - Bryce Miller
 - Max Scherzer
 - Josh Naylor
 - Jeff Hoffman
 - Julio Rodriguez
 - George Springer

Note: All player cards included in this reward are from 2025 postseason. While George Springer is rarer and boasts decent offensive skills, Julio Rodriguez's overall performance is superior, making him a better fit if you enjoy Diamond Dynasty.
If you collect 42 2025 Postseason cards by completing other MLB 25 programs or events, you'll unlock Postseason Collection Reward and receive ALCS MVP Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (fans seem to prefer calling him Vladdy).
This star player boasts impressive overall ratings and individual skill sets. Recruiting him will make him a reliable outfield player for your team.
That's all for this introduction. MLB The Show 25 is expected to see a resurgence after 2025 World Series again. Let's look forward to the championship!

MLB The Show 25 Postseason Past Program Guide: How To Earn 99 OVR Cards And More Rewards?
To ensure you're consuming extra time in the game beyond regular modes, or to make your MLB The Show 25 experience more purposeful than casual, new programs are regularly released.
These programs require you to complete specific tasks to earn points. When your total reaches a certain threshold, you'll receive a reward - perhaps XP, stubs, card packs, or rare players.
One of the newest programs available is Postseason Past, which launched on September 26th. It's so named because the three 99 OVR cards included in the program are previously released postseason cards in MLB 25, but now they're even better.
We'll introduce these four card rewards and a guide to completing this Postseason Past program.

Postseason Past Program Overview
To celebrate 2025 MLB Postseason, MLB The Show 25 launched Postseason Past program in-game on September 26th, allowing you to experience the real-world atmosphere of the game in the virtual world.
This program offers 10 rewards, the highest level requiring 100 points. The remaining rewards require progressively fewer points based on rarity (each 10 points corresponds to a level).
Additionally, missions that provide points include three Program PXP Missions, each granting 10 points, as well as 15 Moments and optional PXP Missions. You can choose which ones to complete based on their difficulty and your abilities.
All Postseason Past Program Missions
To help you plan your Postseason Past program completion plan more accurately, we've listed all the missions below:
Moments Missions:
- There are 15 of these, each granting 5 points.

Program PXP Missions:
- Using a 99 OVR Hampson, earn 350 PXP, granting 10 points.
 - Using a 99 OVR Rosario, earn 350 PXP, granting 10 points.
 - Using a 99 OVR Taylor, earn 350 PXP, granting 10 points.

Optional PXP Missions - Earn 500 PXP using any of the following players:
- Freddie Freeman
 - Bob Gibson
 - Jose Bautista
 - Garrett Hampson
 - Randy Johnson
 - David Ortiz
 - Bill Mazeroski
 - Chris Taylor
 - Tom Glavine
 - George Springer
 - Ozzie Smith
 - Eddie Rosario
 - Jorge Soler
 - Corey Seager
 - Roy Halladay

Best Strategy For Completing This Program
Because each mission provides relatively few points, it's recommended to prioritize unlocking the first three card rewards after completing approximately 11 Moments missions, then use them to complete the corresponding missions to instantly earn 30 points.
Alternatively, if you have enough players for the optional PXP Missions, you can also use them to complete this Postseason Past program. It's often faster to use existing players' cards than to unlock new ones.
What Rewards Can You Earn?
There are 10 tiers of rewards for this program, as follows:
- 10 Points: 5,000 XP
 - 20 Points: 99 OVR The Show Classics Garrett Hampson

 - 40 Points: 99 OVR The Show Classics Chris Taylor

How To Get 99 OVR Xavier Edwards Card?
Notably, along with the launch of Postseason Past program, MLB 25 also offers the opportunity to destroy Live Series cards to craft the new 99 OVR Milestone Xavier Edwards player card.
To do this, you'll need to own Live Series cards with a total in-game value of no more than 500,000. Then, go to the redemption menu, view your existing cards, and select enough low-OVR cards to meet the crafting requirements. To do this:
- 1. Find Collect section in the main menu and click Exchanges on the right.
 - 2. Find and click Exchange Players, then scroll down to find 99 OVR Xavier Edwards and complete the exchange.

Note that cards locked in your Live Series collection cannot be destroyed, and it's best not to craft with cards with an OVR higher than 85, as this will lead to unnecessary consumption.
In addition to 99 OVR Xavier Edwards card, this exchange also rewards you with 1,000 XP.
While MLB 25 hasn't introduced any particularly innovative gameplay recently, if you're already a baseball fan, these real-world baseball-related programs are enough to keep you entertained. Have fun!
Besides completing the app to earn player cards or packs, if you want to get your desired player faster, you can buy MLB 25 players on IGGM related page. And simply enter the player's information in the top right corner to find the item you're looking for even faster!

MLB The Show 25 Team Affinity Neon Introduces New Captain Cards By Team's Grind
As the game gradually settles into its current state, MLB 25 has been known to introduce new rewards to various modes through update programs to encourage continued participation. Some of these rewards are independent, while others are closely tied to the main modes.
Take Team Affinity Neon, which launched on August 30th, as an example. This program ties into Team Affinity gameplay in Diamond Dynasty mode and aims to provide new captain cards to balance the strengths of different teams.
So what rewards can you get from this program? And how can you get them? We'll explain.

Team Affinity Neon Overview
This program gives each team in the game an OVR 99 captain card. The bonus granted by the card is determined by the overall strength of the team - stronger teams receive smaller bonuses to balance the strengths of teams at different levels.
These cards cover a wide range of player types, from young rookies to rising stars to established veterans. However, no matter which MLB 25 player you want to obtain from Neon series, you must complete the corresponding team's TA mission.
The following are the players available in Team Affinity Neon and their teams:

Which Missions Earn You Program Rewards?
To obtain a Neon player, you need to earn 50,000 Team Affinity Points for their team during the program. While this is a staggering number, thankfully MLB 25 offers plenty of ways to farm.
Start Here Moment
Each team has a onetime opportunity to earn 10,000 points, which provides an initial boost to their progress toward completing subsequent missions.
Team Stat Missions
You'll be given several specific missions to complete, each rewarding an average of 5,000 points. However, some teams may offer special, more difficult missions that reward even more points.
- 20 Hits: 5,000 TA Points
 - 15 Strikeouts: 5,000 TA Points
 - 50 Total Bases: 5,000 TA Points
 - 9 Pitched Innings: 10,000 TA Points
 - 5 RBI with hitters / 1 Win with SP (with Milestone Jordan Zimmerman): 10,000 TA Points

PXP Missions
This mission will earn you different amounts of TA Points depending on PXP earned by different types of players, as follows:
- 1,000 PXP with pitchers from each team: 10,000 TA Points
 - 1,000 PXP with hitters from each team: 5,000 TA Points
 - 1,000 PXP with Jolt, Color Storm, 2025 All-Star: 25,000 TA Points

What Are The Rewards?
In addition to the 30 captain cards listed above, Team Affinity Neon also offers the following rewards for completing a specific team's quest:
- Team-specific icon
 - Team-specific uniform items
 - 3x Show Packs
 - 1x Ballin Pack
 - 4,500 XP

These rewards not only enrich your collection and help your character or team grow, but also allow you to unlock additional players by opening packs. If you don't need these players, you can trade them for stubs on the trade market.
Which Neon Cards Are Worth Focusing On?
Honestly, completing Team Affinity quests for all 30 teams is difficult, almost impossible, so it's important to understand which captain cards are most valuable and prioritize them.
If you enjoy well-known legends, the following players are worth acquiring:
- Willie Mays
 - Derek Jeter
 - Lance Berkman
 - Bobby Abreu
 - Adley Rutschman
 - Adrian Beltre
 - Ozzie Albies
 - Hunter Greene

What Is Neon Collection?
When you reach a certain threshold in your collection of captain cards during this program, you'll unlock new collection cards as bonus rewards. These cards often feature enhanced stats and are highly effective in improving your team's performance.
For example, after collecting 15 Neon cards, you'll receive Al Leiter as a reward. One of the best starting pitchers in Diamond Dynasty, this player possesses exceptional pitching skills and elite attributes, making him ideal for competitive content.
And if you collect all Team Affinity and collection cards, you'll receive Bryan Reynolds as the ultimate reward. As an outfielder with exceptional stats, he excels at every position.
Other collection reward cards include:
- Lou Gehrig
 - Lance Berkman
 - Adrian Beltre
 - Konnor Griffin

Given the recent or upcoming releases of many new sports games, MLB The Show 25 is undoubtedly under considerable pressure. Hopefully, Team Affinity Neon will enhance the game's competitive appeal with these new captain cards.
