Arena Breakout: Infinite is an Escape from Tarkov-like game. It comes from the same Chinese company as Delta Force (also in the same genre), but Arena Breakout: Infinite’s operators don't have skills, making it closer to its predecessor, Escape from Tarkov.

As a free-to-play game, Arena Breakout: Infinite offers a slight edge in terms of immersion than Delta Force. It launched on Steam on September 15th and currently has a 78% positive review rating. So, how exactly does this game work? Let’s take a look.

Core Gameplay

Arena Breakout: Infinite is an online tactical escape shooter. Players enter a map as a squad (or solo), competing with approximately 4-6 other teams to loot valuable supplies and escape from one of several extraction points before the timer expires.

Unlike a battle royale game, you can successfully extract with multiple teams simultaneously. However, upon death, almost all of your equipment will be looted by other players. This means members of other teams will covet your loot, and you’ll need to be wary of other players’ loot while searching.

Accessibility

Escape from Tarkov pioneered this genre, but its overly hardcore nature made it difficult for many players to adapt. Arena Breakout: Infinite, on the other hand, combines hardcore shooter elements with numerous accessibility features, making it more relaxed and casual.

Game Modes

Arena Breakout: Infinite currently has three main modes, categorized as normal, lockdown, and Forbidden:

Normal Maps

• Recommended Specs: Level 3 Ammo + Level 4 Armor

This level is easier and can be considered a beginner’s zone, but you can only enter with a knife. This map has a cap on equipment value and is dominated by bots. This map only helps you level up; don’t expect to earn many Arena Breakout: Infinite Koens in it.

Lockdown Zone

• Recommended Specs: Level 4 Ammo + Level 5 Armor (minimum requirement).

Lockdown Zone features more real players and less realistic AI, but you must be level 10 to enter. While the loot you find is better, the difficulty is significantly higher than before.

Forbidden Zone

• Recommended Specs: Level 5 Ammunition + Level 5/6 Armor + Level 6 Helmet.

Forbidden Zone has a higher level requirement, but it’s a team of real players with no AI, allowing you to obtain the best loot.

Arena Breakout: Infinite maxes out at level 30, which takes approximately 20-30 hours to reach. If you don’t want to waste time playing against AI players, you can quickly reach max level with Arena Breakout: Infinite Boost.

Basic Settings

The initial tutorial takes place in a closed area, primarily to familiarize you with the basics. Tutorial items are not transferable. Here are some recommended basic settings for a better gaming experience:

• Crosshair: Optional, assists with hip fire, but is not a precision aiming tool.
• Item Movement: Disable "Double-click to move items," and switch to "Double-click to inspect items."
• HUD Display: Set to "Always Show" for full information.
• Mouse Sensitivity: It’s recommended to use the same sensitivity for normal and aiming.
• Sidestep: Changed from "Press" to "Hold," allowing for more flexible aiming.
• Free Look: Recommended binding to the middle mouse button or Alt key.
• Mark Key: Recommended binding to the side mouse button.
• Supply Priority: Recommended to enable to prevent teammates from looting your supplies or key rooms you’ve opened within 300 seconds.

Map Markers

There are various markers on the map, some representing extraction points, some representing missions, and some representing safes.

• Green Run Marker: A safe extraction point with no requirements.
• Other colored Run Markers: Extraction may require completing a mission, turning in Koens, pulling the gate, or having no Backpack.
• Orange Safe: A free safe that may yield the best loot, but is often surrounded by PvP.
• Orange Exclamation Marker: This represents an in-game quest. Completing this quest will reward Arena Breakout: Infinite Koens or loot.
• Starred Exclamation Marker: A mini-quest available in-game with average rewards.
• Supplier Retrieval Device: Available after eliminating a player. Items can be deposited and safely returned to Depot (limited to one use per game).
• Supply Station: This indicates an in-game supply station where you can restock equipment and ammunition.

Missions, Safe, And Keys

Missions

Accepted in Mission tab, this is the primary way to quickly level up and earn rewards (including Safe).

Safe

Safe protect items stored within them upon death. Completing seasonal missions grants you access to a larger 3x3 Safe.

Keys

Keys unlock specific locked rooms on the map, which often contain safes. They are sold in the market or can be found during a game. Keys have a durability limit: they can only be used once in Normal Maps, twice in Lockdown Zones, and 3 times in Forbidden Zones.

Item Management And Market

Besides finding supplies on the battlefield, you can also find weapons. Both supplies and weapons have value. Simply hover over an item to view its market value. New players should focus on items with a value of over 5,000 Koens per slot. You can add ammunition racks or unfolded backpacks to your backpack to create additional space (up to 3 layers) for carrying more weapons.

Most of the supplies you find can be sold on the market for a higher profit. However, selling most red and gold items directly to your contacts is more cost-effective, so you can compare them with the market. You can set "Auto-sell to Contacts" threshold on the selling screen to prevent junk equipment from occupying market slots.
